- Here is a quick an introduction 5 minute minivan camper tour. No talking, just video. 👉 Want more? • Understanding the buil... This link is the quick install video so you can see how its put together. I built this conversion about 4 years ago and it's been holding up well.
I'll have more detail in a future videos.
I decided to keep this first tour video short for simplicities sake. It should give you a good flavor of it. Feel free to ask questions. Not all features are shown here, maybe 85%. I'll fill in the blanks in the future. Incidentally, this is in a 2014 Kia Sedona, but the design works in most minivans. I have an alternate similar design I built for a Nissan NV200. Stay tuned for more. @minivan.man www.smallvanlife.com - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
I love the movable storage boxes for bed support. You've really thought this design out.
one of the best builds i’ve ever seen! its just kept getting better and better
Thanks, I am working on several videos at the moment that give some deeper details on it
This has blown me away. I love everything about it. So homely and cosy. It's fabulous! 🤗✌️
thanks!
Wow, this is one of the best conversions I’ve seen so far and I’ve been watching for over a year now. Well done sir.
Really interesting build! Particularly the movable storage box extensions to support the bed platform. Brilliant!
I had to watch this twice, very clever.
lol I did too! I didn’t realize it was all removable! He sure did an amazing job
❤All I can say is WOW!!!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!
WOW! I needed to watch this twice as I watched the first time with my jaw dropped! I didn’t even realize it was all removable! What an incredible build. You thought of everything. I’ve watched hundreds of these (I may very well end up living full time in one due to rental prices. I have no family that’d help) Yours looks the most doable (tho I’d have no clue exactly how to build that lol) Just very impressive set up! You’re so smart! Well done Sir
Thanks, Seems like a lot of people thinking about doing the same thing. I was thinking I should come up with simplified construction to make it an easier self build.
@@mini.vanman I think a lot of people would love that! You did an outstanding job on this!
This is one of the best minivan builds on YT!
So impressive I had to save it for future inspiration! Excellent modular kitchen set up in the back and the fact that it can be taken in and out without modification to the van…priceless!
Wow that is the very best mini van set up ever! Reminds me of a Shasta trailer when I was a kid! Also what a. Great name.Minivan Man 😂😂❤
I loved our little Shasta was I was growing up!
Hahah me too 😊
I'm impressed. I really love all the storage. I subbed. Looking forward to more content.
Superb! Great build! Hat's off to you fellow camper!
@@cc-camper-lady hey thanks! Always nice to have a pat on the back.🤠
So well done, looks super comfy and practical. I’m envious ❤
Just when I thought "very neat", he shows the unbeateable finishing touch: de good ol' doggo 🥰
@@lennardschneider6847 that's Jack the dog. He's a sweet heart.
Incredibly functional! I love it and I have watched a ton of these
Nice build! and nice video editing. Aggreed on the hands free video. Need to keep that in mind :D
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing! Thks for sharing! One of my favorite mini-van build outs! Thks for sharing!
I have watched hundreds of TH-cam van tours.
This is by far the best tour I've ever seen.
I didn't need a bowl to vomit in because you didn't try to free hand it with an iPhone .
I didn't need to hear the word "actually" over and over and over again while someone described their build.
Your video was informative, complete and I didn't have to watch you rifle through your underwear drawer just prove you "actually" stored it in this particular drawer.
Thank you sir! Short and to the point. Every single person on TH-cam could learn a lot from your video.
The build was awesome! Wish I still had my Caravan. Best regards, B
I had to ask my mini.vanwoman if she created a new Google account. You sound just like her 🤠. Nothing triggers her faster than when the video heads to the front seats and starts showing junk in the glove box and the center console. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I assure you I do have underwear, just not displaying it. 😂
Well Done, good head work!!!
Great video, amazing build.
This is awesome.. Very comfy and convint
Very nice build! so neat and tidy, cozy too. I like the way you filmed your video and just let the brilliant design speak for itself. Well done and thank you for sharing.
Thanks and I really appreciate the feedback on the video style. I have been struggling with the best way to present videos of builds and had not been satisfied. I then tried this. I really liked it, glad you did too.
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Love this build.
Very cool and tidy
Nice job, Mini Vanman! I love this.
Wow! This is SO impressive and high quality!!
Beautiful build! Wow!

very cozy and homey
Brilliant!! Well thought out, simple and effective. Love that it can all be removed in half an hour. Video was easy to watch too. No explaining. It’s all there to see.
Exceptionally nice layout and good storage.
Brilliant build 🙌🏻♥️
Very nice.
Very nice ❤
Intelligent use of space. Super functional. Really really love the background music track ❤ but I couldn't bring it up on your link
Try this, you can also find it for download in the TH-cam music studio . th-cam.com/video/xQP5F63FNlU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XqRs8XGgKma1MsxP

VERY NICE build…..if I had a minivan, I woukd definitely call on you to be hired to build it out
so clever !
Ab-sol-ute-ly brilliant! Would love one of those!! 🙂
Nice!!
Que genialidad ❤
Very well done! I admire and envy folks who can conceive of a design and then have the skills to actually "make it so." My skills are all of the mind and not hands-on. 😢
I kind of think about it a lot and then design as I go.
Wowza!!! Love this! Also appreciate the camping views! I lived north of Ft. Worth for a bit and enjoyed the camping.
I have a secret spot around here. Just not in the summer 🥵
Very good 👍 ty save for my Dad
Awesome 😊
Perfection!
Amazing!!! Functional and beautiful!
Nice ❤
Thanks 🤠
brilliant
Great memories!
nice!
You did an amazing job on this build, just beautiful! ❤️🤍💙
Love your layout it surprised me that all the items could be removed. Outstanding work and design! I hope you’ll sell these conversions kit. I would love to buy one!
Awesome
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
I'm a native Cowtown nomad myself - though currently stationary a little farther south.
As a one time woodworker, that build looks well thought out and well built. I was in a bit of a crunch, so I sorta threw my simple build together - didn't even put a finish on it. 😕
just gotta do what's right for you at the moment.
Love the module concept I hope you will do some how to videos Hubby and I are planning our first van adventure next year
That's the plan! At the same time, I'm working out a simplified construction method.
@@mini.vanman sounds good I love simple
Bravo!!!
Are you a skilled carpenter? How did you level your floor.
Fantastic build, thanks for sharing!!!
@@georgemoore4712 I'm more of a "good enough" carpenter. I'm about to release a Nissan NV200 camper conversion video. It shows more actual build so you can see the methods. Not a minivan, but box construction is the same. As for leveling, that's a different matter. NV200 has a level floor. I just started working on a video tackling the level issue in minivans. It's easy once you know the secret.
@@mini.vanman
Ummm, can you share now or wait for the video.
Happy Trails
Sorry. Thought I responded to this and then saw I hadn't. Not sure if this will make sense or not. The only part of the floor that needs to be level is the front sitting area. From the back to the front the base of boxes stair step down towards the front so the bed is level. The boxes nest where they touch end to end. The front box has a spacer at the back so it supports the edge of the back (kitchen) box. About 1 inch step at each box for a total of about 2 inches. I shimmed the floor plate about 1/2 inch towards the front. The floor is about 1/4" of being perfectly level over a 4 ft span. Good enough for me since the bed is level. Try watching the install video again and see if you can see what's going on.
Fantastic design. Would you be willing to sell the “pattern?”
Hey Leslie, I'll just make the plans available. I'll let everyone know when they're up. I figure I'll just set up a donation link that's voluntary to fund future design work. I don't plan on putting anything behind a paywall at this time.
I love your design. Do you have plans that people could buy?
I'll be working on writing up build info. to get it out. There are several important build concepts that make this all work that would probably be helpful to people. I'm still trying to decide on the best format for this all. I'm thinking maybe the website to give more detail. I'd entertain any ideas of what would work for you.
Brilliant design! Do you sell these? I would love to do this design in my van!
No , not making these for sale. I just like making efficient designs for small spaces. I'm working on some design/build videos and will put them up online for whoever wants to use them.
The only changes that I would make....??? I would paint that raw pipe. And if I was solo... get rid of the passenger front seat and reduce the bed size to something even less than a twin size. In that space that was taken by the front passenger seat, I would put a rear facing directors chair. I have found that directors chairs are very comfortable. This setup now gives extra room and provides a chair that can go outside as well. But here's another thought, I don't know if there is such a device but what if you could get the drivers seat to swivel and face the back...? Now you can forget the directors chair and put the refrigerator in that spot. Anyone know of such a device?
Now that you mention it the pipe color has dulled since I installed it years ago. Probably a polishing and heavy wax would be in order. It was bright and shiny when I first put it in. I'm not a big fan of painted pipe because of some past experience with it on a home built roof rack. It was constantly getting scratched. I finally solved that problem by covering the pipe with a heat shrink pvc tubing, it comes in long rolls. Thin but rugged stuff. Comes in all sorts of colors. Could be made to work for the swivel table pipe as well. This was built as a 2 person build, so hence the double bed. I had started on a design for a solo traveler. It would have been a permanent single cot size bed with accommodation for a seating area like the build shown. Some life circumstances put that on hold for now. I'm sure it would need some refinement. Not aware of any swivel seats for minivans, power seats would complicate that further. There are some available for the small city type cargo vans, at least in the UK. Depending on the fridge you choose, you might be able to get it to fit between the driver and passenger seat up front. The small fridge I have I know fits between the seat on at least the 2nd gen Sienna without modification. The other thing I have seen people do is remove the flip down arm rests to get a little more space.
Most innovative build I have seen and I have seen most of them and built seven. Number eight camper will be innovative as well but not near as good as this man's build.
Appreciate the good words from a fellow van builder.

I would love to get this build on my 2023 Chrysler Pacifica? Is that something you would be willing to do? I can message you my phone if so and we could discuss.
I love, love ,love this build so organized and ingenious ❤
Thanks for the vote of confidence. At the moment I have other projects and am not taking on another build. I'll be posting an installation video very soon. It gives a very good general idea of how it is built if you wanted to have someone else build it.
Can i hire you to do my van built

"The New American Dream!!!!"
As a 57 yr old female vet, I will be joining the ranks because the cost of housing is tooo much. Social Security might not be around.
Wat happened to the house with a white picket fence?
Hope you found this and other videos helpful.
What kind of van you have?
Kia Sedona, although the design would work for most minivans. I was curious once and tested it in my daughter's Toyota Sienna. Pretty much went right in. The only real mod would be to cut a different floor plate for a more custom fit for it. Basically just a sheet of plywood. Most minivans have about the same size dimensions, but the floors vary a bit.
So well done, looks super comfy and practical. I’m envious ❤
Thank you! 😊
Very nice!
Thanks!
