Easier "hack":
1.) Have a great grandmother that's awesome at himming up pants; cut the jeans to a desired length; take them to said great grandmother; let her work the magic.
2.) Just buy shorter jeans that actually fit and don't sag them like a tool or a prison bitch.

As a shorter guy, it’s not possible to buy jeans with the correct leg length. It’s easy enough to get the correct waist measurement but then I just bring the pants to my local tailor to get them hemmed up to the proper leg length. It’s pretty easy. I go in, get the measurement, pay, come back in a few days or so and they now fit perfect.
Normally I wouldn’t bother with it but it’s proven to be no big drama so I think it’s worth it
