not likely...he sells options...most of the time it is OTM... waits till expiry...rarely he uses SL...that is how institutional traders almost always do.bcos of very big accounts, and they trade in tandem groups,they are the market makers...they trade without SL... sir uses a method( which retail cannot afford to use) ...selling more options further OTM to cover some losses on the earlier trades and sell more ITM options in the direction of mkt....Big account gives opportunity to reduce loss and when the direction is right,profit is also substantial at expiry.. I have found his method not possible for small traders.

Well you don't pledge FDs because of its taxation of interest and difficulty to pledge instead invest in liquid funds or debt which give interest same as FDs and they can be pledged with any broker easily.

if u give FD as collateral to any broker,they will still ask for 50% as cash in account for contingency for MTM losses on day to day basis,bcos they cant break FD to cover MTM losses even if u have not squared off your positions... cash component is a must for all brokers to adjust MTM losses...and FD MTF limit might stop at 80% of the FD and not full 100% limit
