Infiniti really needs to man up and handle this shit for their customers on all models/years. It's ridiculous their is no accountability for a fleet of cars that have had this issue recorded on YT since like 2006. Insane.
I APPRECIATE this video it is very informative but I went to do this and found out the LEAK was ABOVE my battery. I used sealant to seal the cowel above my battery. Seal the space between the cowel (plastic cover) and the windshield wipers. You will see that the opening for the interior air filter is right under there. I had my windshield replaced and they did not seal the cover properly. I also drilled a hole in the floorboard to prevent flooding again.
Can you please link where you got the parts? Every time there’s a hard rain, water gets into my g37, I didn’t think it was too bad it eventually dried itself on it’s own, but this time my car lost power in the middle of driving the car will shut off and start back up but only run for 1min afterwards, and I’ve looked up it could be the BCM and/or ECU. This is an expensive problem 😢
I'm having the exact same issue in my 12' M37x, the only difference is I'm unable to detach the A-pillar because it's screwed in, so I detached the glove box and air vent, to no avail. I can only view the drain plug from underneath the hood to the left of the negative battery terminal . This video is so on point, I wish you demonstrated this in the M37 model, you made this look real easy. Any suggestions would be helpful family.
I’m having the exact same issue with my 2012 G37 Infiniti passenger sides be soaked. The only thing helps me is keeping on the carport unless I’m traveling out of town. I think it should be a recall because it will cause mold and your windows fog up badly
I was wondering why I didn't see any videos on snaking the drain hole first. Now I know why. I have a leak on the front passenger side only. Confirmed it wasn't draining from underneath the car. Then I snaked it with a brush tip wire and degreaser all the way down to the firewall and followed with hot water. It started draining great so I assumed I got lucky. No, although it's draining outside car it still also leaking inside as well. I guess it's safe to assume the hose leading to the firewall plastic cap seal is shot?
i have a question.. did the flood fried out your BCM? because I'm having this issue right now where my windows wont go down, lights inside the car won't turn on and i could only lock the car with the lock button on the door. I did change my sunroof drain plug and added a tube to it but i'm still having the leak.. good video btw
Bro same since this hurricane my car has been turning over then it won’t shit is bipolar 😡 and I found out that where the water should drain from coming down the windshield it’ll leak twords the batter and under the battery cover where the wiring harness is and make a puddle and the car won’t start! So I’ve been putting towels so water won’t come in and it’s still now end then when it wants to start
@@pokdonz5389 I thought a 10ft roll of 3/8” id flexible pvc tubing, a T splice adapter, a straight splice adapter, hose clamps and silicone sealant tape. You will need to gain access to the existing drain hose by pulling the “A” pillar cover, you will need to pull the bottom trim of the door to pull the carpet away and you will need to pull the panel under the glove compartment as well as the kick panel cover in order to gain access to routing the new drain tubing. There is a video posted about a month ago of someone doing this. Search the videos by most recent. I hope this helps.
@@Templestone just saw the video, think I’m going to use that method. One question though since I took the drains out does it matter to put them back in or I can leave the hole there or do you think would cause me problems later on?
@@JulesMechanics it’s cause I don’t want airbags to go off on me , on my older cars they don’t but I don’t know about 2012 model on this car , I was more so concerned if you also need battery to open the sun roof window but you didn’t

This was too hard for me. So I rerouted my sunroof drain to the drain hose for the ac system on the floor… so far so good🙏🏽
How’s it holding up? Just did this today

I keep getting humidity in my 09 g37 headlight and then the lights don't work, we have replaced the bulbs and the ballasts and it keep happening, HELP
I rerouted my drain tube to the a/c drain under the passenger floorboard. It works better and is easier to access.
How you did that? I’m in the middle of trying to fix this problem, any advice?

What if water comes from the side pillar
Cut the tube where it’s leaking and use a barb fitting and extra tubes tubes depending.

So your just not gonna show how to remove the pillar wtf?
