I remember the semi/demi confusion from another video testing Bleach London products. In the UK "demi permanent" doesn't exist, it's called semi permanent, and your US "semi permanent" is called direct dye. It's the same here in Spain, we have permanent, semi and direct dye.
I never listen to instructions that says it won't remove certain things lol. The Uk's dupe turned my hair from like electric pink/red to blonde and pastel pink so ur defo right about the warmer colours part 🖤🌈
This remover is great I'm in Scotland used it a few months ago when I had brown box dye on my hair, lifted to a orangey blonde that toned out amazing being in Scotland it's £40/50 to try and get a single box of colour oops so amazing alternative as we really only have crap ones
Congratulations on your palette sellout Aislinn!! 🎉🎉🎉 And I bet these cute crop tops sell out too!! 🤩 I was shocked how well that product removed most of those colors!! Nice!! Hope you’re havin a great day beautiful! Love ya! 💜💕🌈
Also, this is sold at Armstrong McCall supply store (for professionals), and I got it two years ago to remove brown demi-permanent. It did an okay job. My hair still smelled a bit yucky (not as bad as Color Oops). It made my hair super fragile, and after a week I went to the salon to get my ends highlighted, and my hair was in terrible condition after. I didn’t enjoy this product. It didn’t do enough to justify me using it again. Just my experience though.
I just checked out the prices on both and Color Oops is about half the price so I will stick with it. Thank you so much for showing us what is up with this one though I get so curious as more and more people are coming out with these products.
Just started the vid. Can’t wait to see how this works. I had to chop about 3” off last night due to breakage from using bleached based removers/ bleach washes to remove shades. I’ve GOT to do better or I’m gonna be bald!
I think it’s because some people use Demi and Semi as interchangeable Demi is mostly only used in the US to differentiate other people say fashion colours for semi permanent conditioner based dye
I bought this remover yesterday from cosmoprof cause I’m trying to remove some of my permanent black . Looked up reviews and was so glad yours was the first one! After that result of the blue black going back blonde makes me feel so much better to use it! Thank you 🖤
In some other countries they call demi permaments Semi permanents. Maybe thats what its referring to? Other countries refer to our semi colors as temporarys or stains so that would make sense with the instructions.
Thank you for doing this.........though im sad it didn't remove the blue...im currently slowly fading my blue out and wish there was a color remover that could just take it out lol. While im happy this works really well on reds, color oops is still cheaper....but this is def something that might work on pinks ect that color oops doesn't always get out.
I don't know if you say this later in the video (watching now), but in the UK, demi permanent is referred to as semi permanent, which is probably why they said it works on semi permanent on the box. Confusing as heck though since it's being sold in the US!
Not sure when this happened, since I am a few days behind, but when I went to the website, your palette was sold out! I am so happy for you and can't wait to see what comes next!
I have red locs dyed with Adore semi permanent rn, been looking for a damage free option to get as close as I can to my blonde for when I touch up my roots next month! Will let you know how it goes
This stuff is amazing on perminent/demi overtoned hair or manic panic colours or reds/browns. I’ve found this to be very similar to what colour oops would be but a different formula. From the UK here and I have used this for a few years now 😊
Thank you so much for this video!! I’ve been working so hard to keep my hair and my curls healthy after shaving it 3 years ago, butttttt I’m also a serial color changer 😅 I’ve got a mix of different types of dyes in my hair right now, trying to get out demi black dye this time around without messing with my natural blonde roots. I’ve been researching forever to find the least damaging color remover methods- definitely going to try this!!
Have you ever tried getting swatches of natural brown hair and testing to see if this color remover would lift natural hair? I just don't know if I would trust it not to lift natural hair.
I’m currently using this on my hair. I was once half blonde and black but now all black. It’s definitely lifting on the former blonde side but I don’t see any lift on the black side. May have to try again.
This video is so helpful, you are amazing! can I ask how long did you rinse for before shampooing if you didn’t use step 3? This is my first time using any colour remover that isn’t bleach. I have done a test strand 3 times on black hair, it lifted, but keeps going back to black when putting a new light brown colour on. First 2 times i didn’t use step 3. First time don’t think i rinsed long enough, second time I rinsed for 5 minutes like it said then shampooed it. Second time i did the exact instructions and did step 3 but all times went back black. I messaged the actual company but nothing back yet, would really appreciate the help ❤️
6:13 literally just a guess… but I think in the UK, what they consider “semi-permanent” is what we in the US call “Demi-permanent”. You did say it was made in the Britain, right? That’s my theory.
omg thank God i watched this while it's processing in my hair right now, i won't use the buffer then!!! thanks a million i wouldve been so pissed if i had to undo the Undo lmaoo
I’m a huge fan of the One N’ Only Colorfix for semi permanent hair color! I know you used it a while ago but maybe you should check it out again! I love your color removing videos so much. I’m about to redo my rainbow to. So I’m going back to blonde.
‼️Warning to everyone‼️ This product works like wonders taking off my permanent box color black, BUT OMG THE SMELL WAS TERRIBLE!!!! The strong smell of sulfur stayed in my hair for 2 weeks!!! Even after washing it consistently the smell was still there and it smelled much worse when my hair was wet.
Hey I appreciate you I l negligence your doing a vet good job, detail oriented. Iwork at sallys. I like this, training for me. Idon't get feedback or traibing on everything. So many projects. Thanks alot❤❤❤
Color Oops says on the box that it removes non-oxidative colors but then on the instructions it says its not for semi-permanent dye. Those are the same thing.
Wait I’m confused. Should I use the buffer then or not…? Edit: Okay so I’m not gonna use the buffer, should I shampoo instead after/in the rinsing process?
If I lightened my (previously lightened) hair with perm color, will going in with color oops remove the residual color? Stuck at a level 7ish. Don’t want bleach again.
I don't know if I should buy this. I used a loreal gloss and my hair faded horribly... I have purple mids to weird blue ends 😭 (and my hair was literally destroyed by bleach, I've struggled to repair it so Bleach based would probably melt my hair 😔💔)
someone said this sounds like colourless max in the uk and I have to agree. in the past year or so for some reason Revolution Beauty (aka Makeup Revolution the company that does all the cheap makeup dupes and then branched out into hair and skincare) has bought up most of the colour remover market here. they've weakened the formulas of colourb4 and jobaz. at one point they even introduced some formula where part a was a sachet of vitamin c (absorbic acid) but I think they took those off the market. maybe they've started doing it in the usa too and this is why this box says 'semi permanent' which means demi permanent in the uk. I recently dyed my blonde hair brown and hated it and I used to get old formulas of these colour removers on amazon but now they're all revolution branded ones and they don't work nearly as well :')
Would consider making a “hair dye crash course” type video for beginners🫶🏻 talking about your most favorite bleach, dye brands and colors that are either easy to remove or fade out and brands/colors to avoid for people who are new to vivid hair and who probably want to try out a bunch of different colors lol I really want to dye my hair but feel overwhelmed by everything I understand some damage has to occur but I don’t want to destroy the integrity of my hair completely by making bad choices ❤️
YES STEP THREE in color fix WILL FUCK UP EVERYTHING you tried to do. I had a lady come in and buy color fix she was desparate she wanted her color out she bought it was back in AN HOUR LATER with black hair i was like oh you dyed over it?? She went NOO i did step three and it redyed my hair. (Shed looked it up and knew what happened she did not blame me😅)
Since this colour remover was made in the UK they probably mean demi permanent when they say it removes semi permanent dyes. Your semi permanent is what we call direct or temporary dyes. Semi permanent for us still involves developer and oxidization. It's confusing, lol
This sounds like exactly the same product as Colourless hair colour remover that I sometimes get here in Ireland. It's literally the same instructions and product ingredients.

Petition for Aislinn to create her own colour remover!

What is the dupe called plz as I have very stubborn blue and green in my hair I would like gone
@@DragonRose81 color oops & removers like them don't really touch blue & green. I've had a lot of luck with matrix color eraser.
I think in Brittain, semi-permanent is the same as Demi-permanent here.
Color fix is my favorite color remover from Sally’s. It seems to remove every color that I do.
This remover is great I'm in Scotland used it a few months ago when I had brown box dye on my hair, lifted to a orangey blonde that toned out amazing being in Scotland it's £40/50 to try and get a single box of colour oops so amazing alternative as we really only have crap ones

IIRC, Armstrong McCall is a sister store to Sally, so it makes sense that it found its way there.
