- Hello everyone! This is the final video that I will be uploading for today! And it takes into account the NEW Restricted Broly, for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2! To be specific, the Dragon Ball Z Iteration of Broly is now an official playable character in his base form! As a result, I wanted to show off his new voicelines and special quotes that he has with the cast! Which he has with Beerus, DBS Videl, Gohan, Goku, Super Baby Vegeta 2, and more!
Along with show off older dialogue from Legendary Super Saiyan Broly! As a disclaimer: Vic Mignogna no longer voices the Broly character. Instead, Johnny Yong Bosch voices the DBS version of Broly, and the Restricted Version of Broly! Seriously no hate towards Johnny Yong Bosch, he's a very good voice actor for the most part but he is one of the worst recasting choices for Broly. He just straight up does not have the range needed to fill in Vic's shoes.
They couldn't be bothered to find someone who sounded similar to the old Broly either.
A lot of people dont even know Frieza or Ginyu got new voice actors because the new ones do such a good job recapturing the original performance. With Broly, its glaringly obvious and it makes one question what happened to the old VA and dig into years old drama about Vic that should just be forgotten about.
Johnny has had like 4 years to settle into Broly and he still hasnt moved past the angsty 14 year old voice he's been doing. Little to no improvement or innovation on his performance.
It almost sounds fine until he raises his voice, then its ruined.
Bro wrote a whole essay just to say "I like him but he could do better"

@@mastertjt56 I don't like him. To be frank, I think he's terrible. I just acknowledge that he's a fine to good voice actor when he's in a role that suits him. Broly is not a role that suits him.
Honestly, have to agree. I like Johnny as Artemis and Ichigo but Broly, no. They should’ve gotten a similar VA to Vic.

This is easily chalked down to two things or more: believing victims easily and believing women can do no wrong. This is a big ongoing issue with the world. Nobody has ever learned from Amber Heard. Honestly I can't really say I have an issue with the VA.
Sure when the anger comes in it could use some work, but when it comes to having actual dialogue, he doesn't sound that bad. I think he sounds pretty good for restrained Broly, and Super Broly as well.

Johnny’s voice for Broly is fine for Super Broly imo. While he doesn’t quite fit for Legendary Super Saiyan, his voice for Z Broly has improved drastically since he started, and he works fine for Base and regular Super Saiyan Z Broly.

Honestly, Johnny actually kind of works well for Restrained Broly. It's just whenever he goes into LSSJ Broly in the new PQs that he sounds like he doesn't fit Broly at all, because it's very clear he's trying his hardest to replicate Vic's acting which doesn't seem to work with him. I'm hoping with time he tries to develop his own voice for Z Broly that can capture the character correctly while differentiating from Vic enough to where it doesn't sound like a poor imitation.

Theory: Broly uses some from of ki sensing to tells who's who. So characters with almost same energy like goku's gets him confused. Take gohan for example, Him being goku's son means they most likely have a similar ki signature. same also applies with radditz and bardock. They all are related and most likely have similar energy, That's why he doesn't understand why radditz or gohan isn't goku. Furthermore i don't believe broly is mindless...He may have poor eyesight. This would explain why broly mistakes son family characters or characters that look like goku for being goku dispite the obvious appearance and voice.
