Man, Lost Planet 2 was incredible If they continued to put budget into those games the way they built up MH and DMC, it would make for some of the best action games today
That’s exactly it, it’s fun, nothing crazy good or bad. I do enjoy the concept of it. And I think as time goes on it will be much more worth it. But right now 60$ is kind of a big asking price
Should definitely be free to play since it's a live service competitive hero shooter. Not having a price tag helps bring new people in and spread the game around
This game actually has a ton of different maps, objective types, and dinosaur varieties. But the problem is how walled off they all are by progression. You have to progress in the story / ranking so make sure you’re going through the database archive stuff.
The vast majority of the players are from Game Pass and even then; I see little to no viewers for tuts and other forms of content online, Microsoft using half truths to bolster the player numbers for this.
The more you play and progress the story the more and more gameplay experiences you unlock, there are loooots of different gameplay objectives and enemy types to discover and when it all just starts getting thrown at you randomly it gets pretty exciting
Yea, literally unlocked/got an objective at the end which was pick up more blue "gems" than the enemy team, think it said destroying enemy players gets you more of these blue gems. Almost reminded me of the Headhunter game mode from Halo Reach, not exactly, just made me think of it.
Sounds like it could lead to a very split up playerbase. 6 months down the line when player count has dropped massively, it might be very hard to find a match.
I played the open beta a little while back and loved how they did sheilds. You felt like you were actually shoveling hordes of dinosaurs which is something ive never seen in any game ever
@big.gib.4L From his original comment saying, "You felt like you were actually shoveling hordes of dinosaurs.." I was thinking, "What is your point of reference? 🤔" To which I then sarcastically responded..
_I think you skipped the big bit about the 10 man raids. You'll be playing one of the matches, and the AI suddenly decides to throw one of these challenges at you. Those are honestly some of the best missions, and I had a great time with it. Those usually have your massive set pieces, that far outshine the normal matches. I'd actually say it's plays it best when it's co-op like this._
From the last official showcase, it seems like they are going to add more 10 players base battle modes after 1 month of release and they tell players to "level up the suits to prepare for it". I'm expecting it to be harder/more complex than what we get now.
Currently playing the game. It has more than the 3 starter maps and varieties of them. You start seeing more at roughly the 5/6 hour mark. As well as more dinosaurs. The story presentation is different.
The game will be getting a new mode in a couple weeks. We'll see what comes after. I think it's worth it if you have friends who will play too as well as if you'll play it on and off in the future. I do 2nd the game pass path to see if the core of the gameplay loop is for you.
Hey, I just want to say there is a lot more content and objectives that unlock when you progress the game. Its just hidden. I dont want to spoil some of the objectives as they were a treat to experience blind. Make sure you are progressing your story tab to unlock new maps which have said new objectives and more dinos to fight. Objective Spoiler: There are bosses that make the two teams group up to take them down and its so awesome!
@killerasc5877 I guess it's on you to decide. There are 6 or 7 maps in total. 10 suits to fight with. 5 special events. A free, hard survival mode that is coming to the game on the 28th. 5 final phase modes that you unlock. 4 are pvp, so you may not experience them if you are strictly a pve player. A campaign that isn't breaking any records, but I found it to be enjoyable. I have already put a day and 8 hours into the game. For a dollar an hour. That's definitely a good ratio. Edit: There are 5 special events
@ponderingForever There is a road map! It's still not a crazy amount of content. But it shows that they do have plans for this games future! I'm excited about the hard survival mode that you unlock at the end of the story. It's locked currently but opens up on the 28th. It promises new rewards to chase after
Id say it's worth mentioning that once you have done enough missions thereby advanced the story aswell there are more missions for both PVP and PVE new maps and Dinosaurs including Neo-Dinosaurs which are ramped up versions of dinos you've fought(as well as completely new ones) with abilities and completely new looks akin to siva/Taken from destiny (E.G kamikaze dinos with swolen glowing bodies, ranged dinos that snipe with homeing rounds and teleport to vantage points targeting you whilst you deal with other threats or giant flyers that tear open additional portals spawning more and more waves trying to overwhelm the team or tiny dinos that cling all over you like a swarm of bees and more. Plus the fact that allthough it uses the same maps there are multiple routes/areas/Objectives in each so it doesn't feel repetitive you may be in the same city but you may not see the areas you previously did The story is interesting and well thought out and it allows you to take it at your own pace you can go match after match and then go back to look at the story you unlocked along the way it never feels like your lost because although you may have 10 notifications for the storyboard it only shows them in order so you'll only have 1 to look at at a time soon as your done the next file in sequence pops up feels good to have a story for a hero shooter esc game type only story i got from overwatch was a yearly cinematic. Also there are build chips dropped by non basic dinos that allow construction of turrets, energy walls and floating platforms it's random which of these 3 you'll get each game and it'll be the same for every player but it adds another small amout of variaty to the already very variable missions i could sing this games praises all day honestly but most importantly it feels great to play just thought id drop some info i feel was missed maybe they just never played enough to see it all.
@@faithadams2576 nah this game is just designed poorly. Like it's actually a pretty good game, but designed like a Japanese arcade game if you've been to Japan. It doesn't explain things to you up front and hides things behind certain levels. Good game done wrong and it won't last. Most people won't even know the game gets better. And it takes too long to get better.
They just changed the esthetics of the enemies but we can't really say that you're really feeling that you're fighting against dinosaurs with special dynamics except for the skins...
Trust me. After playing for an hr you’ll wish it was zombies. The Dino’s are sooooo fucking corny. They just disintegrate into pixels. Now blood no bodies laying around. It’s just so fucking terrible. This game is an absolute fucking joke. Battle pass in a free to play game. Only one mode for a $60 game. No single player. The PVE isn’t even pve. It’s just a giant steaming pile of shit. Capcom sucks. Resident Evil is the only good thing capcom has ever produced. Dude said the movement and shooting is good. The movement and shooting is one of the worst parts of this shit pile. I’d say it’s worthy to be on Angry Joes worst games of 2023.
The few costumes you can purchase for actual money are only available that way. There is no way to purchase loot boxes or costumes otherwise. Loot boxes are only earned through playing the game as well as in game currency which is used to purchase outfits and upgrades. Personally, none of the purchasable costumes are nearly as good looking as those you can earn, there are also quite a few secret ones that can only be gotten through loot boxes, which again, can’t be purchased.
And then when it eventually leaves Xbox game pass, it'll be dropped in price by then so if you want to keep it you can. Game pass definitely helps saves money in the long run even if it got slightly more expensive
If everyone have enough with this game now, noone will be there in couple of months to actually play new modes. Personally I can't see how people can play the content they have now even for another month. I think there will be huge drop in online players which will increase queue time dramatically.
I think that's why it was day one on gamepass though? lol capcom doesn't put their good games day one on gamepass. So, it's not the flex you think it is, but if this is the kinda game you enjoy good on ya. I'm good though, and yes I have an xbox but not paying for gamepads until star field.
There are way more then a few maps you need to play the game to unlock new maps Dino’s and even 10 player raid encounters where both teams have to team up to take out a crazy boss or hordes upwards of 1k plus at a single time it’s a lot of fun in loving it, other then a few QOL issues and lack of numbers and data when picking modules and abilities damage / health in the tooltip
I've been having such an absolute blast with this game!! I won't lie I was a little lost in the first 40 minutes or so, but these last 2 days have been well spent!!! I just love the uniqueness of all the different classes and the exosuit variety of each class! I am definitely gonna have a mainstay game!! Edit: Also there is (as far as I've seen) 3 Pvp Final Missions 3 10 v Boss final Missions 4 Pve Final Missions There is more I have not completed the game myself. P.s. Anytime he says "at the moment" he mainly just means at the beginning, you unlock more maps as you progress. (Kind of bad phrasing on that part in the review.) Edit 2: I also enjoyed the Story Element tbh it was a nice addition. (Adding edits as I watch / Final one) FINAL EDIT: The best skins are unlockable ingame, i the store ones are so/so. This review felt kind of mid overall IMO.
@justaguy653 This makes such little sense it hurt my brain bro, sure bro I'm a fucking dev lmfao. (I wish.) I use this phrase so little, but Jesus fucking christ go touch grass bro lmfao
@justaguy653 lol. I dont think its worth 60 but it really is fun and unique. Theres more to the game you jusg have to unlock it by progressing in the story
One major positive that wasn't mentioned that should be applauded is it's not a glitchy mess! It has potential, it's something new and they have a roadmap so I'll at least keep an eye on it.
Compared to what? Can't remember a single recent game which was a glitchy mess. Even Redfall was flawless for me on PC. So you're saying it should be applauded for being normal?
@@cenciende9401 Your experiences mixed with your expectation and definition of normal is personal based. The idea is to review the game and not bash it which is why Before You Buy videos are so popular while giving suggestions for improvement. Even Diablo 4 is having community problems with balancing issues and always having to be online. Overwatch 2 is another example where if you dig a little deeper you can find game breaking mechanics.
I had zero expectations and was left pleasantly surprised. It does seem like these kinds of games tend to die a year or two after they come out, and they become entirely unplayable and lost to time. I low-key want them to see some success from this game, and then use that engagement to actually put in the funds and work to make a Dino Crisis sequel or reboot. They could totally make a good Dino Crisis game with their track record.
They already made those dinosaurs, They should've just RMK the Dino Crisis sure hope its already on its way of makin. and I expect they will go on Dino Crisis 3
Solid 7.5/10 imo. Lots of fun, easy to pickup and get lost in. I really enjoyed the story and the way it was deployed, very original. The story ended up being a nice counterpoint and palette cleanser between matches. Really looking forward to more content!
I think it’s a 7.5 brought down to like a 5/10 for me due to the price and monetization model, along with the fact that they chose to hold back content at launch making the game pretty threadbare in terms of things to do. Frustrating to know that if a game like this had released 6-10 years ago, it would have been much better. Loot boxes and battle passes are really taking a toll on game quality at this point.
@@TheHeadincharge I agree that holding back content is a bit shit, but then again, when every other developer is doing it I can't really blame them. I haven't really run afoul of the loot boxes etc, just purely from a gameplay perspective I'm really enjoying it
Totally agree, though I'd give it a 9/10, simply because it's the most consistent pure fun I've had from a game in years. I really loved the creative story implementation, and actually cared about the mystery. It was a great, over the top sci-fi plot. Could have been a season of Stargate. The characters had much more depth and personality and interesting interpersonal interactions compared to the majority of games, which I usually find cliché, boring and uninspired. The 'palette cleanser' description is perfect. I felt like I was going back and forth between playing a super cool game, and watching episodes of a super cool show. I also really enjoyed how they folded the repetitive nature of the matches into the lore itself (and I had zero issues with it being repetitive, since I was repeating something that I found endlessly awesome and satisfying!)
This game is SOOOOOOOO much more than what they describe, there's 10 man raids bosses, dungeon events with different challenges and mechanics, multiple pvp modes, and my favorite thing super swarms that can spawn upwards to 2000 enemies at once that can randomly show up once u've unlocked them in the story, if ur curious about the game watch someone else for info on it that ACTUALLY finished the game or just take the risk this game is a hidden gem u will love
I had some experience with Motion Capture and gotta say they created a seriously stylish fight and fluid movement choreography for this. Considering how important it is for this genre, they really did it justice this time. Kinda reminds me of MGS Rising. PS. You almost saw me as Leon in those new Resident Evil Remakes🙂
@@coreragestudios3430 Hi, no, I didn't. Back in 2015 I was considered for the facial likeness of Leon when RE 2 Remake was in developement. I lost the part.
I love Dino crisis and even I think the fan base is being embarrassing. The only similarity is that they have dinosaurs in it. This looks more in line with a lost planet style game.
In the world of gaming, a new contender had entered the arena. Exoprimal, a bizarre five-player PvPvE third-person shooter from Capcom, was the latest challenge to be tackled. This was no ordinary game, it was a mashup of various multiplayer games, with a sprinkle of Overwatch, a dash of Team Fortress, a hint of Left 4 Dead, and a touch of Anthem. But the real twist? Dinosaurs. Lots of them. The game was a race against time and against the enemy team. Two teams of five would run through levels, battling dinosaurs and completing objectives. The first team to reach the final mission would get a head start, adding an extra layer of competition to the mix. But the real battle began when both teams were on the same map, fighting not just against the dinosaurs, but against each other. The game offered a choice of three roles: assault, tank, and support. Each role came with its own Exo Suit, each with its own unique mechanics and playstyle. The assault suits were the damage dealers, specializing in either long-range or short-range combat. The tanks were the defenders, with high health and the ability to draw enemy attention and generate shields. The support suits were the healers and debuffers, providing crucial backup to their teammates. But the game was not without its challenges. The $60 price tag was a point of contention, and the limited collection of objectives left something to be desired. Yet, despite these hurdles, the game was a fast-paced, action-packed adventure that kept players on their toes. As the dust settled, it was clear that Exoprimal was a unique addition to the gaming landscape. It was a testament to the creativity and innovation of Capcom, a game that dared to combine elements from various genres and throw in a bunch of dinosaurs for good measure. It was a wild ride, a thrilling adventure, and a reminder of the endless possibilities of gaming. Here's to Exoprimal, and to the many exciting battles that lie ahead!
I had an absolute blast of a time on this last night, a 16 minute game where at the end when both teams can engage to impede one another's progress in the final round, just ended up in a really crazy scrap between the two teams, in the middle of which I figured out how cool and useful Roadblock is with his giant Reinhardt sort of shield
Gotta say, the Boss battles and story do pick up once you gather more intel, there is massive battles against huge dinos, exosuits, new maps, where you get both teams trying to survive. Lvl 50+ you recieve crates and money to get skins easily.
At just lvl 50+? Dude, they drown you in so much in game currency that I've never had a problem with it. Also, with the crates they give out regularly, I've already gotten multiple yellow drops from them. I feel they reward you way before lvl 50.
@@fungalsnoot1655 yeah man, me too, but idk the luck of the other players, even if they didnt got any epic and legendaries on the early crates, post lvl 50 they sure have a good chance to get it
It's Nice to see what the actual game is, from trailers I always got the feeling it was something more on the Earth Defense Force but with Dinosaurs with actual Single Player element
From what I can tell, you can’t straight up buy the loot boxes as there is no store or shop menu. It’s just the BP, starter pack, and buying to unlock the 3 locked exosuits
So I watched this video and played the game for myself and with all due respect this review doesn’t do the game justice. While I understand the key points of a lack of content or repetitive gameplay there is more content unlocked as you play the game. New enemies and maps are given to you as well as end game content. If you just review the story section of the game you get missions INCORPORATED into multiplayer matches!!! It’s completely unique from other games I’ve played and I think it’s definitely worth everyone’s time. Please go try the game for yourself and just reach level 10 before you drop the game. Around that level is when you start to see new maps and enemy’s and the missions incorporated into the multiplayer matches that you que for
This game is incredible. I think the PVPVE is what sells it. There’s a sense of Competition in it, but not toxic like Overwatch or Other games on the market rn. The progression is pretty easy and not P2W at all. Yeah you can purchase the new Exosuits, but you still need to level them up. Although it may be confusing at first, it’s really fun not know what gamemode you are gonna get, each mode is also very fun and makes you play differently in each. The story is pretty good, just wish there was a better way to understand it. 10/10 game honestly, if they are able to keep it going!
I find it interesting how much people are actually really supportive of the game in the comments here despite the review itself (though the review itself wasn't overly negative, just pointing out the lack of content to a degree).
to be honest the microtransactions in the game arent that bad. I played probably 30 hours and ive gotten a bunch of the legendary skins and stuff for free from the loot boxes which you also get pretty regularly. Honestly the game has been super super fun especially as i get close to finishing the story
This game bombed hard. All Capcom had to do was make a single player game but they got greedy and wanted a live service game. Well, like Square Enix they will learn the hard way. Square Enix had multiple failed game and lost more than 100 million from their live service games and even had to sell all their western studios snd IPs
I hope they add more modes like a big boss mode i think they showed in a past showcase. They already have a season 2 and 3 planned so hopefully they are big updates and not just more cosmetics.
there's like 6 maps, 20 ish dinos, like 10 different random objectives, three 10 player coop bosses, etc thing is most of it is gated behind story progress, which is a huge miss and really misrepresents how much content is actually in the game
The suits have a pretty nice amount of customization options. You glossed over the modules but they are EXTREMELY important once you level up a suit. 2 main options per slot or you can forgo modifying the suits abilities specifically for more general things. Each suit can have about 3 unique builds like focusing more on damage, movement, or CC.
3:48 - He says you can't customize their abilities, but you can make alteration's to all of the Exo's abilities, as you level each one up. There are two unique skill alterations in each module, outside of the shared skills
@@SteOharaexcept you do costumize them. Some are buffs some change how they work, some add new stuff. Like Witchdoctor’s heal becomes a damage buff, or Zephyrs kick gains a new attack follow up, etc.
@@SteOhara if you look at the roadmap they are releasing alternate variations of the exo suits that you can switch which change the abilities and or weapons
From comments I've seen from other videos, it seems after like 15-20 matches the game itself opens up to different modes besides dino survival. I haven't played past dino survival because I don't like the 5v5 pvpve enough to grind to get those other modes.
I didn’t care much for the story at first but now I’m a little ways in it’s actually really good there’s a lot of twists in it….. also the more you play more missions unlock and some even that both teams work together on to defeat bosses and I know in two weeks time there adding a new mode… so be interesting to see where this game goes especially when they add the other 10 exo suits next season and even a monster hunter collaboration
He didn't mention the carnage modes or the 10 man raids...they're literally the best parts and you always look forward to seeing what you get going into a match because you can never tell what you get until you're in. Sure you can choose whether the final mission is pve or pvp but on random it makes it more interesting
@ethanortiz1625 Exactly!! Both teams can join up and take on either hordes upon hordes of dinos or take on a massive neo t-rex (more in the future) and it has team wipe abilities if people aren't careful. It's insanely fun
Im gonna debunk a few things here, the loot boxes are free and are earned as you level up as rewards, the battlepass is only cosmetic, the game is free on gamepass and is only $20 CAD on xbox if you wanna buy it to get three mechs early, and the couple buy only skins arent as good as earn in game for free skins. So its not as heavily monetized as it appears at first. Also I don’t know how long falcon played but you fight raid bosses and open up a TON of new game modes as you play and level up, which i believe is the games way of upping the difficulty as you become acclimated to the playstyles and level up your mechs to accomodate to the new challenges being thrown at you. Im rank 40 of 50 and im having a blast with friends.
Thats because the game is half baked and un finished. Loot boxes will be buyable soon. As well as a premium gold monthly battlepass ect ect.. all that moble game model bullshit. Coming soon to a mediocre 🦕 game near you.
@@HereToWatchNotRead cope harder they arent lootboxes theyre literally random chests you get at levels for calling cards and free in game skins lmao. Some of yall wack, its capcom not activision
I'm having a blast. Definitely worth trying if you have Game Pass. I love playing Support and getting MVP every round because the points you get for healing are so OP. In terms of the story/cutscenes, my PC takes off into hyperdrive whenever a cutscene happens so I skip it to make it stop xD
I will say I think you got it wrong with saying the first parts of the round don't matter. The first part you're racing for an advantage in the PvP round. Who ever finishes the first round first goes into the second round immediately and gets a time advantage the second team then gets the dino upgrade first to try and shorten the gap and the first team gets there dino towards the end to get the lead back which I think is an issue
The gane is fun. I have about 10ish hours so far in the game. Havent noticed a significant balance issue in terms of exosuits, but like mentioned Comp is King. Certain Exos are definitely designed for pvp and some are designed for pve. Deadeye, the tutorial Exo is a jack of all trades. The PVP is fun if a bit too chaotic at times. Ive described it as PvP-casual. The game is most definitelt designed for PvE. My biggest recoomendation to the Devs is they need to focus on dropping content and fast. The groundwork is fun and the game has potential. Def needs content.
First one of your videos i have to dislike. You just got this review so wrong. Its like u played one match and stopped. The game has quite a few different games modes not just one, and you unlock more as you progress through the story, including 10 man raids. Also you some how said that loot boxes were microtransactions when you literally cant buy them and get them for free. Hell im not even the only person disagreeing with you. Even on reddit there's tons of people talking about how you got this game so wrong. Makes me worried to watch future videos of yours. You have always been my go to, but now im worried i wont get all the details
I agree.. this is a very bad review. You can easily tell by the way he describes the game and from judging from the gameplay shown that he didn’t play enough to leave an honest review.
Even if a game is phenomenal they aren’t inclined to like it, and can only review it from their personal experiences. You aren’t supposed to allow them (or anyone for that matter) to choose what games you think are good or not. Everyone hated SSKTJL and watching gameplay of it made it seem terrible, but I actually enjoyed its gameplay after buying it on sale. Had I just taken what reviews said about it, I’d have missed out on that experience entirely. They also loved ghost of Tsushima, a game I could hardly get into yet i see get glazed all the time.
Most of this video was great! The only area of the breakdown that I did not agree with is the fact you say the story is pointless. I feel having a hero shooter that actually explains the world we are in is a plus. Something Overwatch, Paladins and Apex fall short of. Being able to connect with the world we are battling in and understanding why we are doing this is a major plus imo.
got this on the xbox gamepass for pc. i was really surprised. very addictive and an absolute blast to play. only complaint i can think of is more exosuits and more maps and a slight bit of balancing.
As a lover of anything to do with dinosaurs I was incredibly excited for this. But I REALLY wish it had a story mode, even a short one like Titanfall 2. I'm not a huge fan of competitive games, but at least a story mode would have made a convoluted story worthwhile and fun for those who enjoy the concept of the game.
Play and watch the data in the analysis after each fight, you get about 2 per fight, which progress the story, characters, and bigger cutscenes. It's awesome.
It has one of the most interesting stories I've seen from a game in a long time. It has a real over-the-top, crazy sci-fi story, like something you'd see in Stargate. Every match you play unlocks more of the story, so while it doesn't have a classic single player campaign, there IS definitely a story worth checking out.
You forgot about the raids. The ones where all 10 players on on a single team. But you have to get to higher levels. Currently sitting at 65 myself. Great game so far ready to see more
The lootboxes are free and after lvl 51 you get one for free each lvl after and 1000 gold. There is a lot i love of how they made the story and getting a surprise new final mission is cool and some are really fun
After playing the Monster Hunter series ive learned that Capcom goes all-out with their updates, usually making the game twice as much fun. If it has an enjoyable core and Capcom is involved then im sold. Ill be buying it this weekend for sure.
@iansmith3016 bought it and was never able to play it. You have to create a Capcom account and link it with your psn account to play but once you link the accounts it is permanent and can't be linked to other accounts. Apparently I've done this before on my psn account and can't remember any of the info so the game is unplayable for me.
I'm saddened whenever I see hero shooters like this these days. It's like they have fantastic base combat and movement mechanics wasted into a multiplayer mode that's usually rarely supported properly. A full coop and singleplayer campaign (tailor-made missions and not just shooting random hordes of enemies until the timer runs out or some boring objectives) with these ideas would honestly work so well. Just imagine something like Overwatch actually take on proper singleplayer/coop with a way to customize and upgrade a chosen hero and having the ability to swap between any of 'em.
@nassim1173 I'm level 70 have reached level 20 on about 6 different exo's and still haven't found it repetitive. although I have over 600 hours on monster hunter and know capcoms games are a slow burn and take time to unlock everything
You did a good job of explaining the beginning of the game and how it moves up. But theres a lil bit more to it that actually keeps the game fresh The more you play the more objectives you unlock, time to time your team and the enemy team gets to team up and go against super dinos and the modifires can be pretty brutal. Ive beaten the story and put some good hrs after the story ended, and im still seeing new combos of dinos or new map sections.
If there is one game that needed a single player story mode, it's this one. I want to know more about this world because it's crazy. The fact that they didn't add any kind of offline mode, even a botmatch, is really a dealbreaker for me. I really wish bots would become a standard feature in MP only games again, because at some point this game will die, and then it's functionally worthless, and I hate that. If it at least had basic bot functionality, it'd still be playable years from now in some form.
they could've skipped the whole time traveling island mess and gone with a more EDF inspired campaign and have the island be simulation matches for R&D purposes. Game is now instantly worth the full price price tag it was given.
One thing I will say that impressed me the most, everything works on day of release! I can’t remember the last multiplayer game that worked 100% on day one release.
On top of being a fully priced game, I just don't get why they do a complete release of the same - not an open beta or anything - with only one mode available... What can it mean, except that the game wasn't ready to be released when they nonetheless released it, no matter what?
Been playing this game a lot. It’s a TON of just good fun, it’s on gamepass so you only need to pay $10!, give it a few hours. The game starts with very little, but you get 4+ maps and a lot of different Dinos much later!! If you’ve played destiny 2 think of it as gambit but a lot more loved and complete. It’s deserving of a larger player base and I really hope more have fun with this great game!!! Also I just heard him say the monotization is bad, it’s really not bad, it’s got like 1 skin per character, a battlepass, and an early unlock, you don’t need any of them! The unlocks take like 5 or so hours to earn and the loot boxes can’t be bought.
Last round feeling like it's the only one that matters is the correct design, I feel. If you were in a match where the other team was 2 or three objectives ahead of you (that would seem like someone is hacking or the matchmaking is severely unbalanced), it would be completely demoralizing for these pugs. Things would get toxic. So it actually feels balanced because I've been in matches where there's a really satisfying back-and-forth or the clutch feeling of being behind in all rounds and then pulling off the last match by 1%.
I was hoping they'd do it like Left 4 Dead where you could squad up or with friends or play solo and go on cool missions. It'd make sense since they have so much story here
Just a heads up there's a lot more things that pop up in the matches (hard point/domination style game mode, a resource collection mode, etc) but you can't encounter them until you reach a certain level
Yeah there's a LOT of content you only see if you play a while, then the game goes up a notch and gets insane 😂😂 I think there's another level to it also because I still haven't seen two of the Endgame Dinos yet but I'm sure they're in-game already
For those that see this comment and havent played the game, I’ve finished this game and it’s great. The story is fun, and re-explains the timeline at the end of its story. The gameplay is great and there’s now 4 modes with #5 on the way. Though 2 of them are locked to completing the story. But its difficulty definitely warrants the gatekeeping. The modes are Dino Survival, Savage Gauntlet (both as mentioned) Time Loop Rebellion, and custom matches. The fifth is Quick Brawl, a pvp only mode while the the Savage Gauntlet and Time Loop Rebellion are coop only. Boss fights are great and a test of skill, but they’re locked in a way that you’re not gonna get people who don’t have a clue what they’re doing. Collabs are exciting too and exclusive events are doable well after they’re finished so you’re not locked out of anything you missed.
Honestly, this looks and sounds a lot like Warframe. Mostly-linear objectives in very well designed but somewhat repetitive maps, and you can give buffs and whatnot to make them stronger without directly changing their abilities. I really wanna see exactly where this ends up, I'm excited!
This review is legitimately blatant misinformation about the game and it really saddens me that people will use this to decide if they get it or. There are actually a bunch of different maps and modes in the war game, you just have to actually… play the game and they unlock over time.
This review is incomplete. It does not sound like you have unlocked any of the abyss arenas or finished the campaign. 80% of the content is not mentioned in this review. What about the boss fights? What about the raids?
Add Couch Co Op, Add a Lenghty Single player campaign, Add the hability to play each mode and map offline with bots that learn.... then we are talking.
As someone who has finished the main story the game locks content behind story progression. As you complete the story more missions, maps and dinos get unlocked. My biggest complaint is that it's not explained clearly. The game will ramp up difficulty with the 10 man raids being some best missions in the game.
@@Sakatoyaa simple answer. because its a half baked, repetitive and they dont listen to community feedback even after the playtesting. Its the same game it was duting the the pt. Fun for 15mins. As you progress your story through Database you will unlock the other maps dinos encounters Etc. Note you cant play the new encounters if someone in your party has not progressed as far as you have. Lowest Database amount holder dictates a 90 percentile of the maps dinos and encounters.
Note if you blow out the other team early in the match clearing faster than them by a large margin you enter advanced difficulties adding spawns Neos etc. and of course higher scores.

This game actually has a ton of different maps, objective types, and dinosaur varieties. But the problem is how walled off they all are by progression. You have to progress in the story / ranking so make sure you’re going through the database archive stuff.

That's still not enough for a frickin 60 dollars game
@killerasc5877 I guess it's on you to decide. There are 6 or 7 maps in total. 10 suits to fight with. 5 special events. A free, hard survival mode that is coming to the game on the 28th. 5 final phase modes that you unlock. 4 are pvp, so you may not experience them if you are strictly a pve player. @@killerasc5877Aye, grab on Game Pass with mates if you can.
Plus the fact that allthough it uses the same maps there are multiple routes/areas/Objectives in each so it doesn't feel repetitive you may be in the same city but you may not see the areas you previously did
The story is interesting and well thought out and it allows you to take it at your own pace you can go match after match and then go back to look at the story you unlocked along the way it never feels like your lost because although you may have 10 notifications for the storyboard it only shows them in order so you'll only have 1 to look at at a time soon as your done the next file in sequence pops up feels good to have a story for a hero shooter esc game type only story i got from overwatch was a yearly cinematic.

@@TheMonkeyShowOnline 100% agreed! That's a really good analogy - going back and forth between a great game and a cool cartoon!

Lvl 50+ you recieve crates and money to get skins easily.
problem is you have to play this dogshit until 50
At just lvl 50+? Dude, they drown you in so much in game currency that I've never had a problem with it. Also, with the crates they give out regularly, I've already gotten multiple yellow drops from them. I feel they reward you way before lvl 50.

Around that level is when you start to see new maps and enemy’s and the missions incorporated into the multiplayer matches that you que for
ALSO sometimes the matches with the same maps will change and give you different routes or new enemy’s on those different routes.
You definitely didn't play enough. There's a lot of different dinos and modes when you progress the story.

There are 4 modes at the moment and yes they've confirmed neo dinosaur fights across teams with new events.
there are big boss fights in the game right now, pretty fun actually
there's like 6 maps, 20 ish dinos, like 10 different random objectives, three 10 player coop bosses, etc

The suits have a pretty nice amount of customization options. You glossed over the modules but they are EXTREMELY important once you level up a suit. 2 main options per slot or you can forgo modifying the suits abilities specifically for more general things.
The mech suits look so cool it’s kinda making me want to play it. Glad videos like this exist
This game has the fun arcade feeling to it and it's been a blast to play so far 🤘
I'm really enjoying it, you start to get a lot more content the more you play and personally I find the story bits quite interesting.
I LOVE this game. I just wish there was a mode where you only fight the enemy team.
What a crybaby post. You're worried about future videos hahahahaha and consulting reddit for validation hahahaha get a life buddy
I have to agree this channel isn't what it use to be an unsubscribing it's like they don't play games anymore
@@Kha1r_0 bad take dude...
Another TH-camr that didn’t see the whole game , there isn’t just one game mode. The best mode is unlocked later
Honestly, it does have a group story. Honestly, you get the feeling of a story mode if you invest into the data you unlock.
I’ll definitely be waiting until this is on sale for 20$ in a month.
gamefly in a month might have it for that 💪
You might as well wait. The game isn't even done. Notice how many times he says they're totally gonna add more content later?
That’s gonna be long wait
By that time the servers will be probably dead
You forgot about the raids. The ones where all 10 players on on a single team. But you have to get to higher levels. Currently sitting at 65 myself. Great game so far ready to see more
That shit was so dope. Having 10 exo suits all together was so cool. Can’t wait for the alpha variants a deadeye with a shotgun is a dream!
Everyone: "We want a Dino Crisis Remake!"
Capcom: "Here, have some Multiplayer-Lootbox-Moneygrab-Bullshit!"
As a Vermintide 2 fan who always liked the wave defense maps of VT1 a lot, and as a scifi fan, this looks pretty interesting!
Ill be buying it this weekend for sure.
how is it so far?
Everything outside of battlepass is unlockable in game
The speed run element is the real fun killer in all of it's game mode.
This game is so fun and intense, different and refreshing
30 hours in and I'm loving it. intensity is still increasing and even new objectives that I've haven't played yet. another hit by capcom
Its VERY repititive isnt it ?
@nassim1173 I'm level 70 have reached level 20 on about 6 different exo's and still haven't found it repetitive. although I have over 600 hours on monster hunter and know capcoms games are a slow burn and take time to unlock everything
Hoping it’s good it’s on game pass so I’ll check it out later on today. Was hoping for an EDF game with Dino’s but regardless looks fun
👍🏼
This game is really fun. I almost didnt try it out on game pass because of all the negative reviews, but im glad i did.
You did a good job of explaining the beginning of the game and how it moves up. But theres a lil bit more to it that actually keeps the game fresh
The more you play the more objectives you unlock, time to time your team and the enemy team gets to team up and go against super dinos and the modifires can be pretty brutal.
Ive beaten the story and put some good hrs after the story ended, and im still seeing new combos of dinos or new map sections.
I need EDF6 to come to America already.
I agree. We really need Bots back in MP games.
they could've skipped the whole time traveling island mess and gone with a more EDF inspired campaign and have the island be simulation matches for R&D purposes. Game is now instantly worth the full price price tag it was given.
They could always patch it in before shutting servers down. I’d say it’s more likely here cause of the effort they put into the story.
@@Alex_Logan22 I can't think of any game that added a SP/co-op campaign mode after launch.
@@Lorkanthal
I was referring to bots.
Gambit prime. Say gambit prime or no destiny player will play it.
This game is surprisingly fun, also heard theyre adding more game modes in the coming weeks, which is desperately needed.
They're also adding 'alpha' variants to every suit next month, which gives them an entirely different primary weapon that changes up their playstyles!
I just finished the game and holy sht it has more to offer. That end game 10 man raid was something else!
the dlc gonna be crazy
@@TheMonkeyShowOnlineThere's also beta variants coming in January
Exoprimal is what overwatch 2 wanted to be for its pve
Wasn’t OW supposed to be blizzard’s new MMO IP back then but got turned into what it is?
@@xil3ntkha0s yup but really only the overall design of the characters as what was brought over nothing else really
Damn didn't know this game had a skill tree
It's about time for a Dino Crisis Remake!
I'll be more than happy for a RE1 type hd remaster.
I'm having fun playing it. It's an over the top crazy game typical from Capcom and looking forward to the future additions to the game.
I was hoping they'd do it like Left 4 Dead where you could squad up or with friends or play solo and go on cool missions. It'd make sense since they have so much story here
Because left 4 dead was boiling over with story right?... 🤦♂️
@@HereToWatchNotRead At no point did they say left 4 dead had an amazing story, just that they hoped the gameplay structure was similar
Time to go dino huntiiiiin! Thanks Gameranx! 🦕 🦖
👌
Just a heads up there's a lot more things that pop up in the matches (hard point/domination style game mode, a resource collection mode, etc) but you can't encounter them until you reach a certain level
Right I first saw the rapters fall from the sky today breaking through glass from tall skyscraper was in shock 😮
What level?
Dont forget the 10 player co-op raids
Yeah there's a LOT of content you only see if you play a while, then the game goes up a notch and gets insane 😂😂 I think there's another level to it also because I still haven't seen two of the Endgame Dinos yet but I'm sure they're in-game already
domination is my favorite
Gameranx need to keep playing then remake this video.. its rushed
“Hi folks it’s falcon” *switches off*
For those that see this comment and havent played the game, I’ve finished this game and it’s great.
Dont compair this half baked shit to warframe.
The game will ramp up difficulty with the 10 man raids being some best missions in the game.
it's on gamepass btw
This game is gonna end up JUST like Anthem
How? Capcom is nothing like EA or bioware considering they dont give up on their games
@@Sakatoyaa simple answer. because its a half baked, repetitive and they dont listen to community feedback even after the playtesting. Its the same game it was duting the the pt. Fun for 15mins. Easy to move on and play something else. The company will move on also.. making a dead game only worthy of memes.
Let’s be honest, this game did NOT need to exist
that’s what i’m saying
As a dinosaur fan I disagree
As you progress your story through Database you will unlock the other maps dinos encounters Etc. Note you cant play the new encounters if someone in your party has not progressed as far as you have. Lowest Database amount holder dictates a 90 percentile of the maps dinos and encounters.
Note if you blow out the other team early in the match clearing faster than them by a large margin you enter advanced difficulties adding spawns Neos etc. and of course higher scores.
I just finished the game and holy sht!!! That end game 10 man raid is something else!!!
