Ares, the god who's never hurt a woman and loves his daughters the Amazons: "They were gonna WHAT?! Hey, have some more of the magic I gave you to kill Poseidon, little man."
Fun fact: Alcippe was the daughter of Ares and Agraulos. She was assaulted by Hallirhothios, a son of Poseidon. In response, Ares killed Hallirhothios for the offense and was later exonerated of the murder!
I just checked the live stream you are correct. That is so funny, because he is either saying that the Ody is no longer the king or that Ody is an old man....
I like how the suitor that pleads for open arms and for the "needless" bloodshed to stop looks very similar to Polites- In a way showing that Polites' mentality no longer lives on within him and has completely died, along with old Odysseus back in Get In The Water.
everyone is well and right to mention ody in the shot with the moon. but i really like how disinterested he looks thoughout all of this, like hes constantly in a state of dissociative violence. Its a very interesting deviation from most animatics that show his face and body contorting with rage. You could say he doesnt, perhaps, look human.
I love how this animatic doesn't have odysseyous firing volleys of arrows like a machine gun, but makes him seem more cunning rather than inhumanly quick and strong
I mean, yeah, but the thing is he was 100% inhumanly strong and fast, he's a demigod or at least a legacy and was able to string a bow no other mortal man had the strength to.
I feel like a balance of both is necessary to fully capture the essence of oddysious, he WAS inhumane strong in the mythos because he is literally partially inhuman, part god. Still, trickery, deception, and are all core parts of any good Greek hero.
Also, it would simply be inaccurate to the song for ody to not be firing a massive fuck you amount of arrows at the very least during the part where he is demonstrating the fate of the suitors. During which it can be audibly heard that he is shooting arrows at a dumb speed.
I love how you added the yellow outlines to the suitors, making it look like they're in Torchlight. Its a detail i haven't seen from anyone else who has made an Odysseus animatic. I also love gow you made Telemachus look so shaken up after stabbing Amphinomous
The way Ody looks so disinterested in what he’s doing is so interesting but it makes sense considering what he’s been through that this would just be another day for him. Also all the little details that you’ve added really add to the overall tone, like Telemachus looking shocked and scared that he just killed a man because based on Legendary and Little Wolf we know he hasn’t had much if any formal combat training and most certainly hasn’t been in combat. So him being shocked and scared that he just killed someone makes so much sense. This is so well done, thanks for making this masterpiece
Fun fact I learned recently: Ares even being a God who relishes in war and what not is one of the few Gods not okay with SA, so I love to imagine he was listening in and heard Antonius wanted to do, cracked his knuckles and told Athena to stand down. Not to mention how they wanted to end Telemachuls life probably felt cheap to him. "Hey let's ambush him and not give him a chance to fight back!"
Ok, i might be the only one who disliked how dark the lighting was for this, as i struggled to understand what was happening. But I absolutely loved Odysseus in front of the red moon. That was favorite scene of your work. ❤
@rayclawicefire2503 this too Originally Penelope and Odysseus kill the female slaves too, one which was bassically their child Penelope did not fuck around she was a spartan woman
Ares, the god who's never hurt a woman and loves his daughters the Amazons: "They were gonna WHAT?! Hey, have some more of the magic I gave you to kill Poseidon, little man."
I had the metal image of Ody and Ares just being bros... and I love it!
I kinda thought Ares would watch and maybe help
Fun fact: Alcippe was the daughter of Ares and Agraulos. She was assaulted by Hallirhothios, a son of Poseidon. In response, Ares killed Hallirhothios for the offense and was later exonerated of the murder!
@AnaSofiaRivasCruz I didn't know that! The hate against Poseidon goes deep!
Ody didn't kill Posiden?
When does a man become a monster? When the background choir starts chanting your name likes dark souls boss
Dude still calling Ody the 'old king' like he isn't still the current.
He may have been saying, "Oh, King," but I'm not 100% certain.
I just checked the live stream you are correct. That is so funny, because he is either saying that the Ody is no longer the king or that Ody is an old man....
@RanaHaurire either of which is insulting a king that finally returned home after 20 years
@KumoriShichiyou the first time he says "old king" but the next its "oh king"
@RanaHaurire It's more that he is trying to glaze Odysseus. "Old king" probably referse to "wise king".
I like how the suitor that pleads for open arms and for the "needless" bloodshed to stop looks very similar to Polites- In a way showing that Polites' mentality no longer lives on within him and has completely died, along with old Odysseus back in Get In The Water.
YES! SOMEONE NOTCIED! When making the storyboard for this I made a note to make him look like Polites.
There's a shot of Polities in all of her animatics lol

Tysm! While drawing... rage didn't make sense for his lines. I like the stoic version a lot, glad you liked it as well!

That shot of Odysseus in front of the red moon is so damn raw! Really cool animatic
Thank you! It was my favorite scene to draw!

Thank you! I wanted Telemachus to looked kinda scared of what he did, because that was probably one of his first k*lls.
@RanaHaurire yeah you're the second person who I've seen do that
I love how Ody almost sounds smug when he says "No" after the open arms comment
Gotta love Ares ngl, also he aims for the torches like Scylla, they are in his palace like Circe, and he trapped them like Polyphemus
Wait, I didn't realize that!
they tried to kill his ‘favorite sheep’ to, but unlike polyphemus he protected him
Oh the reason the weapons room was open was because Telemachuls unlocked it by accident.
He probably had an "wait sec moment"

ODYSSEUS IN THE M OON OMGGG so good ughhh
I am so glad you like it!
I love the 'no' after the open arms

This is really cool!! Love how you animated the suitors with just the fire outlining their outlines! Thanks for making and posting this animatic!
Thank you for watching!
I love the lighting of this
Thank you! It added a couple hours...
Gods, Odysseus's lines send shivers thru me during this song. Love the animations to go with it, especially the red moon silhouette-ing him in the end
DAMN THIS IS ACTUALLY AMAZING THE CHANGE IF COLORS DON'T MAKE ME START
The ending with him before the blood moon looks amazing
The animation is awesome! This looks so cool, and I have no clue how you did it so fast, but it's amazing!!❤👏
I did it so fast by the power of determination and burning eyes from looking at a screen for so long :)
THIS IS AMAZING!!!!
Love the lighting!!!
YESSSS ODY, SLAY THEM ALLL. YESSSS
Rana this is incredible!!!
tysm!
wait bro you just animated 600 hundred strike 😭😭😭 have a cookie 🍪

This is fantastic! The lighting is so cool!
I’m obsessed with how you have the lighting on your characters💕💕
YOOOOO
Gorgeous lighting holy fuck!!
This is great!!!❤🎉
Ok, i might be the only one who disliked how dark the lighting was for this, as i struggled to understand what was happening. But I absolutely loved Odysseus in front of the red moon. That was favorite scene of your work. ❤
No that is fine! I was having issues myself when glare caught on my drawing tablet! Also tysm!
👏👏🧐👏👏
Is it just me or is there something wrong with the audio?
Sounds it was recorded from a speaker and then applied
I just checked. The audio is fine, but something might have happened when I exported the file to TH-cam. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
if it makes anyone feel better they probably were gonna do the same thing they said about penolope to tech
ithica this is, it ain't athens
Them dying made me feel better
@rayclawicefire2503 this too
