It is not garbage, don't say that! I see we had some convergent ideas for this song, with Telemachus and Ody being wolves! Which you did quite excellently by the way, very well done. I love wolf Tele fighting off all those monsters. Keep up the good work and improving this year!
I can see what you mean when you say garbage but this is amazing I love the part where Telemachus and Ody don't recognise each other because they look like monsters to each other. Can't wait to see what you got for 'I can't help but wonder' and 'will you love me again'. But keep up the good work and keep improving your skills.
Ares, the god who never did anything wrong and who loves his daughters the Amazons: "They were gonna do WHAT? Have some more of that magic I gave you to fight Poseidon and fuckin go NUTS, little man."
I’m pretty sure this was all Odysseus, at least in the original myth. You have to understand, people were just built different in Greek mythology. And he was 1/8 god
in my mind i dont even think ares did so much- just gave him the stamina to get the job done, no eating, no sleaping and scarcely the need to even BREATHE
One is young and has been sheltered with the kindness of his mother. The other is older and has faced the hardships of the outside world alongside the hatred of his enemies.
Artemis: I'm surprised you kept helping him Ares. Ares: Oh yeah I don't play around with men who want to perform SA especially on women. That's not strong, that's the greatest form of cowardice. Artemis, Aphrodite, Hera, numerous goddess and nymphs: Did a male God say that? Zeus: Oh silence, he's the God of war!
I love the symbolic imagery you used in this animation. Odysseus channeling all of the monsters he's faced, Odysseus being a hellhound at the end, and the suitors becoming the very monsters Telemachus dreamed of fighting. Also good on you for including the blue eyes to hint at Athena's influence.
These monsters have forgotten what it means to be afraid. Thankfully, Poseidon was ever so... 'gracious' in teaching Odysseus a thing or two about fear.
“Give me sirens and a Cyclops. Give me giants and a hydra.” “I’ll fight the harpies and chimeras. The Minotaur even Cerberus.” And all those are shown when Telemachus fights the suitors, amazing imagery. Your animatics have improved with each one you make, and this is by far your best one. I only hope you go up from here.
Man thr imagery in this one is AMAZING. Having the suitor asking for "open arms' literally begging on the floor while Ody crawls ont op like some feral animal? Argos best boy moments? THE WHOLE TELEMACUS SCENE? Bro this is incredible
@telkei3365 that too. Every single one of them knew they were fucked from the start, all bravado was false and it showed, kinda wish more animatics played with that
I freaking LOVE how Telemachus is a wolf fighting all of the monsters he spoke of in Legendary. It's such a cool reference!! And Ody becoming a murderous black wolf is so cool too.
Having the suitors "become the monsters" that Telemachus sang of fighting in Legendary was such a creative choice and I love it! And Telemachus represented as a wolf... so good!
Beautifully done. I wasn't sure at at first about the introduction of a random owl and wolf at first, but when Telemachus came in and shadow monsters appeared. The legendary song reprise, of Telemachus dreaming about fighting monsters to this was excellent. Even evil Odysseus was excellent. 😊
@hahstudios2753 was it? I personally haven't read The Odyssey in over a decade so an enemy bird was beyond expectations. And birds are definitely not forte (even in real life) and totally forgot about Argos. I don't think what hit my feed for these new animatic referenced him yet. Though i thought Jays live stream would have brought him in. Thanks for the clarification 👍
@@hahstudios2753I love that you clarified this. I was about to make a comment about how much I loved the possible symbolism of Athena(Bird/owl) coming to provide advice or scolding him, and Ares(A dog) running her off. Amazing work on this animatic though I adore the expressions and telemachus' part is so well done. Oh I don't have the words
1:20 I love that you added Argos the dog to this. He was a very small part of the Odyssey, but I love it when people add him. Edit: It is also cool how some people can shapeshift like it is nothing during a fight.
This an interesting reimagining of the visuals. I really liked the Telemachus fight scene, where Little Wolf bites and strikes back against the monsters that have been a part of his life for so long. And who finds him while he's fighting the suitors/monsters? The Wolf King, Ody, finally home after making a filet out of Posiedon, ready to show them what a Real Monster is.
Now this is how I like to start my new year!!! Also really love the design for Telemachus’s helmet!!! Also that entire scene with him and the suitors was awesome!!!
Can I just say, I absolutely love the double meanings behind your entire animatic! I love how Ody is captured as a monsterous being, both metaphorically and figuatively (my spelling sucks). AND I LOVE YOUR TELEMACHUS DESIGN
OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOOOOOD!!! I knew you’d deliver a great Odysseus animatic but this is next level! The callbacks/allusions to the monsters that killed Ody’s men (shoutout to my homegirl Scylla), Telemechus seeing The Suitors as the monsters he said he’d fight in Legendary, best boy Argos being a living W, Telemechus being represented by a wolf as he fights the suitors AND THE ENDING WITH ODY BECOMING A SHADOWY WOLF BEAST IS SO FREAKING COOL ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! HELA MY SISTER IN CHRIST YOU COOKED
Genuinely liked your interpretation of the song! Especially how you made the characters into different kinds of monsters and animals depending in the situation, so props for originality. I also low-key liked the intro a lot, Odysseus just walking slowly and everyone growing more and more scared, ah, how lovely. Again, loving how Odysseus also turns into a monster at the end.
I like how you have worked on dynamics. Where the song is faster and tense (like in the moment of Telemachus’ fight) you add more frames per second. The fact that suitors turn into monsters who they really are is fantastic and clever.
I enjoyed the imagery of the suitors turning into monsters with Telemachus and then turning into humans when Odysseus kills them as Odysseus himself turns into the monster
i love how you have it so it seems odys kid (i dont know how to spell his name) seems to be imaginening them as different monsters mayne in a way to make it easier to kill then with out remorse
The way you had Odysseus not only became the monster but transform into it is absolutely amazing im definitely taking as much inspiration from you. I dont mean coping your work i mean you just inspired me to do that for Odysseus in the Ithaca saga and some of the other sagas.
WOW WHAT AN ANIMATIC!! Well done! The visualisation of the suitors as monsters and Telemachus as a wolf was SO creative. An incredible reference to Legendary when he was singing about seeing them as such. Then as they died, showing their true bodies to be humans was so well done. You've got a great mind for this and I hope to see more from you

I know you said it's argos fighting one of the suitor's hawks but I first interpreted it as ares replacing Athena's influence in Odysseus's mind. This isn't the time for a calculated battle but a straight up slaughter.

The looming over the injured suitor, shooting arrows effortlessly through the rest, and throwing elegance aside and just crushing the suitor's head with his foot, its exactly what i imagined this as. Even better- how Jorge had it was having the same actor as Poseidon that suitor, showing the 180 Odysseus made from Ruthlessness to now.
