I hiked because of you the ATT in 2023 I’m double time man I’m so glad that you’re still posting stuff. You are really big inspiration to us. Thank you double time and close close call.
good to see you and Gary out on the trail !! love the boardwalk in the marshy area ... "pretty good view" and lots of great times and trail scenes thanks for taking us with you!
Hello my outdoors friend, thank you for sharing another really fine video. Your videos are helping to keep me motivated for future treks in Northern California. As always you did great filming and narrating. All the best to you for good health. 🤗
Dude I did this trail like 20 yrs ago. It’s a hard ass hike. I lightened up since because of this trail. I always said I was going to go back and fish the stream just at the park side. Loaded with trout. Thanks for the reminder.
Awesome! Welcome Back Jason. You looked "FROZEN" at 6:30 in the morning or perhaps that was the pain you were feeling. We have missed seeing your videos and can't wait for you to continue your Triple Crown effort. Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
Glad you got the AT under your belt, but for my money this style video is your bread and butter. Trips 300 miles and under, your videos are some of the most entertaining.
Looks like you guys had a fun hike. Glad you were able to get out and have fun with some friends. I'll have to check it out next time I'm in Pittsburgh.
Nice to see you hiking again. And great to see the area I used to frequent as a trail maintainer. Ralph was my mentor. Come back to see Bald Eagle's Indian Path that he has uncovered and written about; it crosses the AFT. ~~~ After seeing the high view of acid mine polluted Red Moshannon Creek, and crossing Casanova Rd., next was Six-Mile Run. I think the water is OK there. Thanks for giving a shout out to the volunteer trail maintainers there. There is a good crew for the trails, much driven by the Allegheny Front Trail Run. ~~~ The rocks are tough on the AFT! Glad you survived them.
Loving your videos! I am not a backpacker though very interested in it. I am a western PA native and love finding longer trails to trail run. Thanks for doing this!
glad to see u out again hope your foot is better now. dont know what happened. thank your for the video and thank you for the views, really would of love to go out there with u all i have to stay home and watch my pearnt (dad) so i have irl things now. and sadly i dont drive..
Hey Frozen, you mentioned how you like water views etc in the video. Check out a trail in the Cumberland State Park Tennessee. A trail called the, "Fiery Gizzard trail." It's awesome. This is the trail I fell on and broke my leg back in 2018. It's loaded with water views. I've been itching to go back. By the way the video is great as usual. Keep rocking.
Thanks for the video. Nice trail. I first hiked on the AFT in 2005. There is a good trail race here in the summer. The distances are 14 miles (which I did) and a longer one 50k. Great race.
This is my third tine watching this. I'll bet that kid triple crowns a few years after high school. Shout out to whoever built that campfire at the 12ish mark? Proper work bud! Almost the way I do it.
Good to see you back out on the trail. Thank you again for the hammock shopping help last winter. My Dutchware Chameleon is working out to be mighty fine !! And I have another Hammock Gear quilt on the way as we speak. 10 degree top quilt. Hoping to hit some parts of the Moshannon State Forest in late March / early April.
Awesome video. Let us know how those Timps feel and if they hold up any better than the Lone Peaks. It's a shame about the mine drainage. More common than you might think. Trout Unlimited does a lot of remediation and has that limestone diversion well on the AT (NOBO) just before the Beaver Pond at the Rausch Creek Bridge. If you see an orange/rust colored spring don't drink from it or from the creek it feeds.
PA has had a problem with AMD for a long time due the history of mining. The good news is the DEP and other clean water groups is taking a proactive approach to it; and it is having an impact. I just read an article a few weeks ago about Hell Bender Salamanders and a fresh water Mussel being found in a creek that hadn't had them since the early 1900's. The big issue today other than plastic is nitrogen runoff from agriculture. That's what causes the algae blooms that close beaches.
My hammock gear tarp has the pull outs at an angel? Not sure why your doesn't, perhaps a change they made awhile back, my tarp is about 2 years old. Like the extra pull out in the center to tie back the doors, smart idea, looks like a solid tarp.
It's awesome to see a new video from our Frozen friend! We just got our power back on so now I can start watching your video. The snowstorm knocked out our power for 36 hours. 😬
Great to see you back on trail, especially with Gary and Miles. I did the AFT on the hottest weekend this past summer and it was a beaut. The CCCs built some of those forests after The War. Oh and those footbridges dip knee high in to the water during wet season. It's no joke.
Yeah buddy LT is getting done early spring !! Love that tarp man . Wonder if velcro would work on the overlap for a windy situation?? Happy to see you back on train man $#@! ...
Enjoyed watching your hike. Glad to see you back on the trail. You mentioned you're still experiencing hiker hunger, so you should have a great time at the dinner table tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving!
There i a glider port near the Ralphs Vista. I hiked there in 2014 . Very tough area for newbies. Also there is an Underground creek there. A small regional Mid State Airport also used to have a NG Chinook--47 aviation unit there. Back in 1992.-1993. i. worked there full time for awhile . I also saw the area by air a few times .Very Pretty during October from above.
The auto generated subtitles are funny. AT for appalachian trail is always displayed as 80, but I 80 for the interstate turns into IAT lol. Thanks for another great vid!
Hi Jason that was a nice trail. So glad you was able to get through it okay. I think maybe a good Idea to do a few small ones and get your body back in a rhythm it stopped for awhile after pushing on the A.T. now you have to Get back in it and loosen up. Slowly. Good to see you back out on trail.
The scene with you cracking up at the light switch reminded me of the AT video with the "SPAM" website printed on the pack of SPAM. I still crack up about the "SPAM" website to this day.
Excellent video as always I seen the tarp couple weeks ago and I think Chris is working on something specifically just for me which would be slightly larger than what you have but not by much like maybe 6 in extra in width maybe 8 and just as long as my gorilla storm tarp and I think the doors will overlap as well at least I'm hoping that way I can stand up straight on the side of my hammock without hitting my head on the tarp
I've just about wore out my timps. Same Buckeye colors that you have. I wear them daily and the insoles are shot. I actually bought the super feet insoles and they made my knees hurt almost instantly. Really weird. The insoles that came in them seem just like the $5 Dr. Scholl version so I'm going to try them.
Good to see you on the trail again. Fun to see the people behind some of those boutique brands! Are you going to start your own company, or officially join one that belongs to one of your friends?
@@FrozensAdventures Could you fill me in on what torso size you are what size pack you got in the end? Trying to work it out for myself as I'm a 19" and am normally in-between the stock sizes... Thanks in advance
I love your videos and the trails you take. I see that you do a lot of trails around the Pittsburgh and surrounding area. I’m from the same area and I was wondering were do you get maps and information on the trails. Any trails that you would recommend to take this time of year? I look forward to you upcoming videos

Gary!!! Stoked for this hike.
good to see you and Gary out on the trail !! love the boardwalk in the marshy area ... "pretty good view" and lots of great times and trail scenes thanks for taking us with you!
Outstanding job as usual. Totally agree...never take the trail for granted.
Great trail video I just check and it is about 4.5 hours from me in NJ. I need to find something a little closer for a change from the AT. Take Care
looks like you got a good group of folks to share a few days with in the woods. Thanks for taking us along!
Good to see the vids again. Took two days to hike the AFT this past April and it was great. Awesome to see PA hiking represented.
Always fun to look back at one of our hikes. That was definately a good one. We'll have to do it again soon. Great video!!!

I'm glad i found this video! I'm planning on hiking the AFT this summer.
So glad to see a new video! This place looks beautiful!
Now that's the Frozen we know and love! Congrats at completing this trail and enjoying most of it with good trail buddies and gear!

Great to see you and Gary on the trail again. Hope you can get the IT band issue under control again. Adventure on!
Yup already feeling pretty good after 3 weeks of working on it.
Great to see you back out there. It’s always great to spend time with great people✌️
Impeccable timing -- I was looking at this loop for a long weekend in 2020 .... awesome!
It's a good loop. A bit rocky but overall a great area.
So awesome to see you back on the trail. It's even better that it was in my neck of the woods, on a trail I'm doing in spring. Thanks for sharing.
Did not realize how much I missed your hiking videos until this. Awesome looking little trail! I used to live in that general area 20 years ago.

Thanks. Everyone's got their own favorites. Some just watch this channel for the reviews. Hard to please everyone. Appreciate the comment man!
Outdoor Adventures for sure. And to clarify, I’m not saying most entertaining of your videos, but of the backpacking genre on TH-cam as a whole!
Frozen so nice to have you back on the trail missed the videos
I hiked that trail over 4th of July this summer. Great trail! Saw maybe 6 other people the whole weekend.
The prototype tarp looks great. Can’t wait to see it in production.
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing!!!
It was definitely a good trip, thanks for letting me join you guys
Anytime man was a blast with you!
We were on the trail the same weekend. Met your buddy in the parking lot when you guys were camped out overnight.

i think it will work really good with more ends like a D n D tarp or other rip offs. i own a rip off in camo tho.. xD DnD tarps to over priced.. xD

We'll see where the world takes me for now.
I just picked up the Canon EOS M50 myself. How did you like it on the trail?
Never used it on the trail but the stabilization isn't anywhere close to Sony.
How did the LiteAF 40L full suspension pack ride as far as comfort, stability, and freedom of motion goes?
I honestly didn't know it was there after about 5 minutes. LiteAF packs fit me very well
