You guys are great. Probably the best selection in North America. If you get a chance... maybe do a video boiling a certain amount of water on the cook top on different makes to see if "not having direct access to the flames" really makes a difference.

We bought a cuisiniere HH a couple years ago and I regret it everyday!! It heats the house but you cannot cook on it, if I have to stir anything my jeans feel like they’re going to catch on fire and the oven doesn’t heat up properly. I can’t wait to sell it and get something better, I’ve been heating and cooking with a wood stove for many, many years and this stove is definitely the worst one ever.

Just got sucked in our 60 year old one gave up so we could only get this piece of crap as well 100% junk oven temp guage positioned to read incorrect up top cannot get oven over 300 by that time the house 110 good luck to you

Not sure how I missed this video Sarah, but luckily found it while searching for more information. I wasn't sure which I would like better when it came to pedestal vs feet. However, when you pulled out the large ash pan ... well, sounds like a good reason for the pedestal. :)

Having trouble with mine smoking bad randomly when first lighting the fire, can make several trips and lights up perfect then without explanation like my last trip to cabin stove would not exhaust smoke through chimney and filled cabin with smoke! Love my stove but would really appreciate some help.

Hello Sarah, just wondering the weight on the JA Roby . I was in love with your Amish stove I believe it was HE520. But my problem was, it weighed 900 pounds. It would had been a problem to bring to my home.And I now just fell in love with the JA Roby . I hoping it only weights 600 lbs. Thank you Sarah you always put out informative videos.

I had the model cuisiniere for 3 years .. I sold my house and I now have a small house, I wanted the chief or the cicero, but it was a bit too big, so I took the centauri .. I love the centauri as much as I liked the cuisiniere .. the warmer can go up to 350 and more ..
be careful, the j.a.roby stove are primarily made to heat and ... yes, they heat lolll
these stoves are made to be in big open areas if you do not want to suffocate ...
the only negative point... his painting .. it would be much better and easy to maintain with a cooking surface and a painting like the elmira ..

If you have the enamel cook plate on the top of the stoves, its actually easier to keep clean vs. the Elmira stove. Thanks for your feedback!

truth: 2020 wood stove is supposed to be functionable /not pretty! the use of alot gaskets is wrong! look at the old wood stove and improve on things efficient is ok/ but keep the things that worked.. like low maint/no gaskets/slotted doors ...ect. extra junk:just stuff to break... like electronic controled crap- not needed! its rooteen :like every few hours checked on! same time -you imspect draft settings and when go bed ,all reset :bussiness as usual! you learn your wood stove.how long is the materials going to last! plastic /electronics/electric fans... (NOT LONG) ! we want new tech on old ways improved...without the breakables! seems wood heaters is very 2020 -efficeint/yet wood cook stoves -stuck in the past!
