Great video! I have actually thought about replacing my 20 year old rack (which otherwise is fine) for this reason. Very useful Peege! Thank you! EDIT: I can also see me using this as a block to raise my heel off the floor for a nice hamstring stretch. Nice to have more than one use. I'm sure there are more.
If time /efficiency is a concern then I prefer the booster seat. Example: If you already started the workout with flat bench inside the rack, just throwing a pad down to move on to incline bench is a faster setup time than moving to the front uprights ….especially if you already have stuff in the way on the front uprights (e.g. My Ares Trolleys) - but Yes, incline benching off of front uprights is obviously an option too.
Idk about you, but my J cups don’t stay in the same position when switching from flat to incline and I’m sure it’s the same for you and everyone. So that counter argument doesn’t make much sense. But I get it, Content creators got to create “content”.
Moving up/down the same uprights is quicker than moving to a different set of uprights. Not to mention that benching inside the rack is safer than outside the rack….but hey …if this hack is not for you…then it isn’t for you. Have a great day!
I have never had this problem…but isn’t the solution simply using spotting arms to hold the bar? Place it at the edge of the arms and move the bench forward accordingly. 🤷♂️
Depends. My rack has a 30” depth and with my spotter arms inside the rack this leaves only 6” of clearance. While this would work, I just prefer more clearance. Further- and more importantly- when racking the bar -I much prefer to initially set the bar against the vertical Lining of the J Cup before setting down the barbell. Without this it feels weird and the risk of hyperextending something increases. Just my 2 cents..

Great video, buddy
Thank you, 50 Cal!!! I appreciate it!!!!🤘🙏💪
Step 1) install spotter arms on front of rack.
Step 2) Start incline benching.
Yeah that’s works great, but he literally just said he wanted to do it inside the rack.

It’s ridiculous how simple this thing is and how many problems it can solve.
Thank you for supporting the channel, Ron! I appreciate it! 🤘🙏💪
