  • “Mozart’s Frog” is the common name for a rare frog species found in Haiti.
    Biologist Dr. Stephen Blair Hedges first discovered it in 1987. The frog doesn’t make a particularly tuneful sound, but an audio spectrogram of the frog’s call is visually reminiscent of musical notes. After going missing for two decades, Mozart’s Frog was rediscovered in 2011. We don’t have a recording of Mozart’s Frog, but it is said the call sounds like a muffled whistle. Can you imagine what Mozart’s Frog sounds like?
