I love him like younger brother. Treat him with best food and activity for him. One day he will die and I have no fucking idea how I will survive this, can't even imagine it now...

I have a friend who breeds Leonbergers. His stud Weighs 248 pounds. He's as big as a male Caucasian shepherd. They are the sweetest most awesome dogs you can imagine. Not a mean bone in their body. If I ever get a place in the country. I'm going to get one.💕💖❤💕💖❤
god damn thats over 110 kg. even if hes big as a caucasian hes massively overweight. thats the main reason these dogs so early because people stuff them with food and they are to fkn fat. they need to be slim agile and healthy. every jump or run is a torture test for his joints...
Are you quite sure that is correct?, that would mean the dog weighs 112kg!....
We have a Leo and to me 112kg seems to be rather unrealistic.
@@muckydog5806 there are some huge dogs in this weight area, but as i said, there are way too overweight. they will die very early and get health issues.
for maybe a week one old man told me he had a leo and he died with 4. he weighted 92 kg, thats also too damn fat. he died from a turning stomach.

@@jorgemiller8994 Our Leo bitch weighs 40kg and is a heathy, very active family member, hence my comment in regard to a Leo that weighs in at over 112kg.
Our leo lived to be 11 years old.

@@rolena7157 They're literally named "Leonberger" after the german city Leonberg. The first Leonberger dogs as we know them were born 1846 thanks to Heinrich Essig who wanted to create a breed that looked like the heraldic animal of Leonberg (the city) which was and is a, surprise surprise, lion.
tf they are a balkanize breed you'll find them in the mountains of Kosovo 🇽🇰.
... They were literally bred in Germany. That's where they're from.
