He took a lot of snobbery from Tories and stood his ground Larger then life character and kept his heart for the people and working class

I have to say I have never been a labour voter and after this lot never will. So that said its hardly surprising that I hardly ever agreed with anything Mr Prescot said but he was proper labour a man who did well but came from the people and was for the people. A man of hardly work (and on one occasion hard punches lol) and I always found a man of principled beliefs when the labour party had real politicians. So dispite my obvious opposite political beliefs I am saddened to here this news and my thoughts and condolences to his family

John did a wonderful job physically connecting with the Electorate and acting as the demilitarized zone between Blair and Brown

He was typical of Labour’s stance when he said they wanted to concrete over the south of England to secure more Labour votes. He sat back in the House of Lords he claimed he wanted to abolish, and siphoned off thousands of pounds to just turn up and sit in the bar!
