Join us as we try out van life in Norway during autumn season. A colorful palette of orange and yellow saturates the landscape and the dropping temperatures result in more dramatic nature experiences which fewer people get to try out. Glacier lakes surrounded by the alps of the arctic and vertical stone walls that summons the vertigo are some of the sights we get to see. From Dividalen National Park, through the Lyngen peninsula, we drive south towards Trondheim, Dovrefjell and Jotunheimen. All along the route the void of the midnight sun darkens the night sky dims to complete darkness, which allows the Aurora borealis / northern lights to dance across the heavens.

I hope you enjoyed this episode😊 Any questions? Ask me anything!
I really enjoy your posts. Can you please tell me what you use to fly your drone alongside the van?
@dmmcfaul thanks😊 My girlfriend drives the car while I fly it manually from the passenger seat
I won't be able to show this to Anna, or she'll make me pack the car right away to collect all the mushrooms you haven't found yet 😂
Oh, she is into mushrooms as well?😄 Luckily they’re all covered in snow now, so you can report back that they’re unavailable at the moment😂
Never stop making these videos! You inspired me and my wife to try out wild camping with a campervan(usually we rent cabins). So, we rented one and made our way to Norway. It was our first time doing so, and maybe we should have tested it out before leaving Denmark. It was surprisingly demanding, but so worth it! The van we rented was maybe a little too big for the Norwegian gravel roads and mountain passes, but I'm definitely going to buy a smaller one and do it again. We were also surprised by how much space our dog took up in the van! Greetings from Denmark
Thank you both. Your videos for years have been wonderful including the challenges of VW vanlife. Happy motoring.
You’re very welcome, thanks for stopping by😊
This was wonderful, and so beautifully filmed. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures, it's a privilege to be able to ride along from the heat here in Australia. 😊
amazing episode once again 😍 makes me want to go back asap! Hope we'll see again next year 💙
Cheers Daniel😊 Same, let’s hope our paths cross🤗
In the 1970s, a friend invited me to eat spaghetti with mushrooms he picked. When my teeth clicked together, sparks flew out of my mouth. That was some tasty spaghetti.
I am not afraid of heights. I am afraid of suddenly hitting the ground. You guys are braver than me, standing on those rocks.
Another great video.😎👍
Haha, I love the stories! Benedikte is way braver than me, I like my role as a videographer in the background😃 Thanks
Nice to have you three back!
Thanks!😊 About time😅
You kids + Zulu have covered some amazing ground over the past years. Thank you so much for sharing your travels with the world. Keep on keepin' on!
We can’t complain😀 Love these trips and looking back at these clips just make us wanna head out again. Thanks for stopping by!
You three make beautiful films.
WOW, may be the best ever views. Norway is on the plan
Thank you very much😊
That looks amazing! It is nice to see Truck Norris out and about!
Thank you, he enjoys this as much as us😊
Norway is the best country for vanlife in europe
It’s pretty sweet for van life, I agree😊
Loving this! Spent last summer in norway, from Oslo till trondheim. The best! Greets from the south of the netherlands
Thank you😀🙏🏼
We still can't wait to get back to Norway and make use of your lovely travel-guide. This video doesn't make the wait any easier!!! 😀
Thank you, that means a lot🥹 It’s even pretty during autumn!😉
Good to see you all again and as always another great video...👍👍
Good to have you back, guys! 😎❤️ amazing video, as always 😍
Where can we find “the Vertical Wall”? Those views are insane 😍
Thanks, it’s been too long🥹 It’s along the E6, close to Skarberget!
Tusen takk for this beautiful video from Beautiful Norway ❤❤❤❤
Værsågod😄 thanks for watching!
Nothing like berries on a walk. It’s like nature awarded you a bonus for getting outside. My dad always carried a gallon bag in his pocket when we walked.
Indeed😊 It definitely adds a dimension to going out hiking
Hi Simon, I think describing the northern lights as 'intriguing' is slightly under selling them! 😂 Another great instalment. Very relaxing and evocative combined with great company and 'cinematography' . (Was your other half a mountain goat in a previous life? Her standing on the ridge top gave me the heebie-jeebies just watching!)
Hi! Haha, I guess we might be biased, we’ve seen this ever since we were kids😂 Thanks for the kind words! Yes, I think that must be the reason why she has those nerves of steel😅
Good to see you again here.
Thanks, it’s great to be back with a new upload :)
Happy to see a video! i have missed your updates! Excellent and Amazing!
Thank you! It’s been too long😅
Yes guys! Welcome back :)
Constant 3 months comebacks 😂 Thanks
Better than never coming back mate :)
That was a fantastic harvest of berries and wild mushrooms and autumn is the best time for natures gifts. Amazing scenery as always made better by the changes of colour. It's been a while but your back making good videos 👍
Indeed, we brought back so many deliciousness☺️ Autumn is underrated
Norway is full of nature and as usual you explored it in an incredible way. Very very nice. Congratulations.👍
Thank you so much🤩
I really, really like this video a lot. The way you put them together like a history storyteller and the music together like a mystery. Every drone shooting is breathtaking. When the drone moved in different angle shootings, it made me feel I was there. This filming is so spectacular, by far! I just wanted to mention to you because I paid attention to details. Great job editing this video.
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words😃
great video i miss you guys
That was a pleasant surprise and as always, entertaining with wonderful scenery. It’s so satisfying to gather from natures’s harvest and what a huge haul of fungi! Seeing the northern lights is something we’d love to experience and what a thrill that must have been for you both.
Indeed, mushrooms and northern lights, what more could we ask for?😄 Thanks for watching
What a stunning video. Thank you so much for sharing it with us, I loved being transported to your beautiful country again.
Me and my partner visited Norway for our first time in August this year - we absolutely loved climbing in Flatanger and then discovering this country on a big road trip. Its wilderness took our breath away and we can’t wait to come back to explore more.
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us, we so appreciate it as it helps us plan and dream of our own trips. ❤
Sounds like you had a great time in Norway🤩 Really glad you find my videos helpful and it’s exactly what I wish; that they can be used for planning trips to Norway. Thanks for watching!
Long time no see, good to see you back on the channel
It’s been too long! Thanks for watching 🙏🏼😊
Tank you for your amazing videos. You tanke me with you on your jorneys
Just adopt me 😂. Another crazy video 🤩
Haha😄 thanks!
Kya bhai tu bik gaya ek video me
Viewpoint Snohetta ! What a place 🤩
Amazing place🤩
@@SimonBraeck can you sleep there or is it purely a visitor centre ?
Sorry for the late reply! It’s only a visitor centre during daytime, sleeping not allowed
You’re back!!❤ We missed you so much! So this was late August? We are thinking about coming in Spring, we want to see the rivers and waterfalls in full flow, but also catch the Northern avoiding the mosquitos and midgies. When is best to come for this - April into May perhaps?
Thank you😊 Yes, and into September. Well, that sounds like a tall order. That could be a bit late for the northern lights but you’ll run clear of insects. Some parts of Norway will still be covered in snow in those months, especially in high elevations.
@@SimonBraeck we came before in April over Easter and it was a bit grey and very cold. So we thought a little later would be good, but seeing the Northern lights from a remote and wild location would be epic. Maybe we need to come sooner? Love seeing Benedicta posing on the edge of the- she has nerves of steel!
Amazing drone footage
Norway's nature is majestic. Thanks for sharing guys!
Thanks for watching😊
What an absolute treat seeing a new video. Thank you!
Thank you🥹
You’re back!!! Great video as always. Always look forward to your videos popping up. Thank you.
Still alive😅 Thank you so much, all these kind comments make me want to do this more frequently
New episode 👍
Yeah, finally😄
Awesome, as always your filmography(?) is a cut above the rest! Beautiful country, will definitely bring our VW up there some day soon. Love you guys! Stay classy 😉
Thank you I really appreciate it🥹 Hope you get to visit some day🇳🇴 All the best!
Awesome video 😄
Thanks! 😊
Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? - couldn't help with the simpsons reference. Looks amazing! thank you
Sure thing! It was unexpected, but quite the experience nonetheless ☺️
Hei folken!! Great to see you guys again. Hope you've been keeping well? Awesome video as always.
Hey😊 yes we’re all good, still doing our thing with Truck Norris in Norway. Thanks for stopping by again🙏🏼 Have you had any exciting travels lately?
A techy question - how do you know what speed you are doing in the van when the speedometer is wobbling like yours? Love your book by the way, I am due to retire shortly and will be heading out as a new vanlifer and Norway looks spectacular. You are a lovely couple and I hope we see more from your visits soon.
It’s basically the average between the max and minimum of what the needle wobbles between. Once if passes 80 km/h it evens out😄 Thanks for the kind words, I hope you’ll get a great trip🤗🇳🇴
Great to see you back travelling, what a fantastic place to stay how do you find your campsites?
Thank you😊 Mostly through hours and hours watching satellite images on Google Maps
💯💯💯👍👍👍
Where is the vertical wall. Is it in your new edition?
Yes, it’s added to the guide🤗
'Hope the views don't disappoint ' ! is it possible that any views in Norway disappoint?
Haha, I guess we’re biased😂
