I've been watching your reviews for some time now and you are by far my favorite channel to watch to see what's coming down the pipe in the auto world. Keep up the great work!! Thanks.
Just bought myself a used 2015 with only 15K miles. After reading the reviews here, I opted to spend a little extra per month and purchased a 7 year/100K mile bumper to bumper warranty. I watched a ton of average guy reviews before settling on this car and even though Im not in the market for a car anymore, I will definitely keep watching your reviews just for the entertainment value. They are fantastic Tony. Oh, did I tell you I also hate minivans :).
J J, we just bought a 2014 Edge SEL with 32,000 miles and added the 7 year/ 100K bumper to bumper warranty. Could you tell me what they charged you for your warranty? Was it a Ford warranty?
+theMediaMart Well this month hasn't been good for it. I had my computer fried on the edge Speaker wiring is all loose Steering wheel has peeled Sunroof doesn't close properly I have to say I still like this SUV but extremely disappointed in ford quality. For a 50,000 dollar SUV (in Canada) I would have gone to the new jaguar F Pace.
yes and no. I had to call ford and get them involved now... now there is something wrong with the engine... might need to be replaced. I am asking ford to buy back.
I bought a used 2016 with the 3.5 6. It has 120k and for an 8 year old car, it runs and drives like a new car. The design of it still feels fresh and I actually like the front and rear styling better than the newer Edges. I drove a new one and I am not a fan of the rotary dial transmission selector and the larger vertical touch screen. It seems like a waste of space and looks like an afterthought. It drove nicely though. I’ve only had my Edge for 4 months now and hope it proves to be as reliable and long lasting as my previous Fords.
Give it up to the Average Guy! Definitely my favorite car reviewer on TH-cam. Also, I'm assuming that the Edge has to be turned on to utilize the automatic tailgate lift. Otherwise, any schmuck that walks by can just wave his foot under the car and break in. lol
I love mine!! I bought the impact blue 2015 Edge Sel I bought it used. The previous owner has scratched it and dented it a little but otherwise its nice! Love the 3.5 AWD I get 26 MPG without the Air on and 22 with on the highway. Thanks for your Awesome video!
The 2011 Edge was our first rental car in the states, so this year we were keen on trying the 2015, unfortunately the rental place just had a Pathfinder. I actually prefered the 2011+ Front End, but the rear end of the 2015 looks gorgeous. It was a great review of what appears to be a great car, thanks for doing that man, and when the Edge arrives in Germany next year I'll be the first one to test drive it ;)
The Edge has one potential deadly flaw, that is an internal water pump; if that pump fails without warning (and it has happened more often than not) your engine will be totaled because the fluid from the engine coolant system will infiltrate into the engine block, mix with oil and reduce lubrication. Buyer be ware!
jmen8888 well they do. I am not a brand loyal guy. I've had lots of fords few gm and two Toyota and two Honda. Best luck with Honda Toyota but they aren't making a vehicle that seems to fit my bill. Thinking about trying an edge. I won't buy new because depreciation on these is not good. I don't really find they are a good quality vehicle and keeping it past five years concerns me.... But for a two year old one I should do ok to run it a few years. The problems with awd models concerns me.... And I've never had a ford yet that didn't need something in first five years... Most within first two
That's a good question. There's two answers. If leasing - I'd go with the Ford. If I'm gonna be a long-term owner I'd lean slightly towards the Nissan.
I have one, I love the blindspots at the windshield pillars, I love the seat shape that cuts off circulation to legs on a long trip. I love how the door bottoms wrap around underneath and catch all sorts of road dirt and salt! (potential rot issue here). I love how you have to slam the back liftgate to keep from lighting up the door ajar icon.. and when slamming said door you pop the eardrums of anyone in the car... I'm especially happy with all the negative reviews and comments about the longevity of the 4Cyl EcoBoost engine and carbon on valves issue, they give me comfort.. I love how my 6 cyl Chrysler T&C van with 160k miles on clock gets better highway mileage than a new 4 Cyl Eco Boost. Now there is a regular guys honest review.. and I have been a long time Ford fan.. sadly after that last few, I'm looking for a new brand. I had a Ford Expedition that had defective head designs, it would blow out spark plugs! Pop, right out of the head! My 2005 FX4 sounded like a Diesel at 44k miles. Something about lifter padders?? WTH? My 1995 F250 started using a quart of oil every 600 miles once it hit 40k on the clock.. BTW Ford at two dealerships said there was nothing wrong with it..
Great review, but you are killing me when you are washing that car with the brush at the drive in car wash. Fast way to destroy the paint with scratches and swirl marks.
Great review better than them stupid motor trend bla bla bla and other so called experts review they suck! I like that fact you tell it just the way it is!!
After 10 months of using the new FORD EDGE I’ve got a lot of problems with it such as strange sound comes from the engine, computer problems, fuel gage getting stuck some time.. etc. it was the worst choice I ever made in 2017..!!

+David Huntley Thanks brother!
Got this a few months ago from Avis and loved it. So far the experience has been stuck on me. Really thinking about getting one sometime next year.
+Respawn sweet ride - steady improvements over the years have made it a solid choice. Thanks for watching my video!

"Edgy design"! Ha! I see what you did there! The new one is beautiful...Ford has made me a fan due to their innovation and attractive design!
+BladeEdge1221 yes - Ford rocks!
I have a 2015 Sport. LOVE my edge. No problems. great SUV.
Sweet ride, enjoy!

Oh man! 😡 I'm sorry to hear that. What has the dealer said? Are they being helpful?
yes and no. I had to call ford and get them involved now... now there is something wrong with the engine... might need to be replaced. I am asking ford to buy back.

I agree with you on the older styling looking much better. They’ve squeezed the nose of the new model
You always pick the best locations to do your glamour shots! Nice review man!
+Gold Pony thanks my friend!

+MrWay2green you have to have the key with you to use the feature. Funny.

Sounds lovely- enjoy!
wow I love Ford and the new improvements but you make it seem way better OMG thx.
+Luis Gonzalez It's a sweet ride
Love your reviews! I had a 2012 Edge that I loved, so your review sold me on the new one!
I'll have to be honest with you. I don't like the exterior. The old front grill had a statement, this one just looks plain boring.
Great review!
+mzzcece well said....2014 looked better
+mzzcece thanks for watching my video! I like the new Edge better overall, but I feel you on the grille :)
+Motley Crue thanks for watching!
You just earned yourself a subscriber. Great reviews!
Thanks!!!

If you could do a review on a police taurus interceptor that would be great!! Looking to buy one possibly
+Shlomo Deutsch I have police friends. I will try to get that done for you!

Wow, really?
Seriously? I was thinking of buying one! Damn Where can I read about this? Do you have the source?
3.5 only. The 2.0T & 2.7T Sport do not have the bad water pump design.
Should have showed interior fit issues. Almost $40,000, shouldn't have any issues, no manufacturer should have issues at that price point.
+jmen8888 the issues were minor, but the interior has gotten a great upgrade.

+TVfanfanatic ha ha - that's my video dog
base vs base, if you will use your own money, which one will you purchase between the Edge and Murano?
That's a good question. There's two answers. If leasing - I'd go with the Ford. If I'm gonna be a long-term owner I'd lean slightly towards the Nissan.
