Many people never learned, or were never taught, how to clean their home / car or what types of tools to use to accomplish this. Channels like yours are great lessons! Thank you 😊
Yep! I never knew you were supposed to wash your walls until adulthood, for example. Another example would be that lots of people have fireplaces but don't know that they need to be cleaned and inspected yearly.
"Dirt collects in the corner and has to go, too." From a German speaking subscriber in Canada. 😊 I love your videos as they teach us all so much. Thank you! ❤
“Rednecks” 😂😂 I love how little boys see things through their own lenses! Your little men are a pleasure to watch! I like how they all have their own hair styles unique to themselves! You’re doing a very good job raising all your children!!
Please dont encourage use of that slur. So many claim to be accepting and bla bla bla. Actually that word is demeaning. If you like I can insult you. Just send me your email ok?
Books are something I always encourage kids to love. I think it's important to read out loud. Reading was my way to survive the abuse. I would gladly do two book reports while classmates were struggling to read one book. I still like to read to little ones. It has also helped with Bible reading. Just look at the teens that can't spell or use phonics. Thanks for teaching your kids to help each other...
Thank you, I enjoyed this video. Your systems work well. Funny how the boys ended up reading 📚 and then listening to you read to them. Creativity sure was present. Good job mom.
Min 2:07 Dear RuthAnn: My methode is to grabb the broken toys and those they don't play anymore with, and keep them hidden in a bag for a certain period of time, just in case they notice there's one toy missing. So, in that case, I go and get that specific toy from that bag. Then I know I can now throw the bag away, 'cause they don't recall those toys anymore. Greets from Buenos Aires, Argentina ❤🇦🇷
A suggestion…some of your early reading books, we kept all our for the time when those young ones were now having their own little ones and it was so fun to watch the new parents tell their little ones mommy read these when I was your age…one of the little ones looked shocked and said, you were my age?? 😂
❤I Never Had Such a Wonderful Time Cleaning & Sorting Books Before. What a JOY to watch the 3 Boys with the Books..❤I have a hard time parting with Books Myself..my 3 Grown Sons Young Books and As Well Books a Granddaughter I raised for Some years. Also, Books I Love Dearly.. Oh Boy Do I need to Clean & Sort Books & clean the Bookcase & scrub down & dust. Say a Prayer for Me, there will be tears 😢 sentiment of course. God Bless You All. ❤
I was a baby boomer and my mom most always worked outside the home. Our dad was always a very hard working and sometimes more than one job. He would plant sweet corn and it was our job to take care of it and pick it. We would sell it to the little grocery stores around town. In the fall we would use that money to buy school clothes. I always wish I had someone to teach me all the things like you are with your children. Don't get me wrong my parents taught us how to work hard and we all did. I just wish I had been a homemaker instead of a factory worker.
The bookshelves look so neat, that is really nice to have a reading/creative corner like that. The thin knife and flat screwdriver are great for getting into those crevices of the window. I keep old toothbrushes too to clean with as well. Looking through the things we are cleaning out sure is a distraction (like your picture albums & books) and I am very well familiar with decision fatigue too. It prolongs the process so much. But it is always a good feeling to have it finished and you are right, it does promote creativity to have the clutter out and everything cleaned and put away neatly. Thank you for explaining how you do rotations and the video.
Having an old tooth brush will come In handy, to get into them nooks and crannies.! I enjoy your content and I’m new here btw, 😊 I liked and subscribed
I used to sort the toy boxes twice a year. Before the kids birthdays and Christmas! Keep pile, donate pile and trash pile. I always did the yradh pile 😂 but the kids had to sort keep and donate. Now as adults they do this at their homes. Lol, markers, crayons and play doh, same rules here!
I love that you too,get "decision fatigue". Can't wait to share this with my daughter. It is soul warming that you control the children's toys! It makes for a happy play time for them and a more tidy home to boot! And the books! I love the books and photo albums!! Keep up the great job and keep sharing!!! God bless!!
Qtip works great in those tiny with ndow spots. One box lasts me all year and I don’t have to rinse. My friend Betty showed me that tip, plus a qtip has two ends. 👍
Um now I need to go clean lol. Love your rotation ideas. May do that for the grandson's toys that I have here spread around. =-) I love the boys reading and being glued to the story that you read to them. Brings back memories and now making new ones reading to my grandsons. =-) Take care.
I cant beleive i just learned so much about cleaning windows at 35 years old 😬 thank you so much for sharing your methods! Also, I always wondered why windows tilted in like that lol
I save old toothbrushes for cleaning little crevices, behind door handles etc....free and really gets the fine hard to reach areas that a towel, sponge etc. can't reach. Dawn dish soap is much gentler than a heavy cleaner like 409 for degreasing. I put in a tall cup so my toothbrush won't fall out, using a heavy hand with the dawn and some water. A really good disinfectant is 90% isopropyl alcohol (1 large bottle), a few drops of Dawn and the rest water in a spray bottle will kill any and all germs and shine your sink, refrigerator, stove when used with a microfiber towel. I wash and reuse the towels for years. For your outdoor stove or anything metal Bar Keeper's Friend is great! Make a paste, cover with Saran wrap or plastic to keep damp and soak. Wipe off and follow with the alcohol solution as it will leave a film. I use it for toilets, sinks, tubs etc. Also works great on brass, copper for green corrosion. You have given me such inspiration. I'm excited to try my own cheese, noodles, sauce and many more. Oh, have you seen the corn removal using a Bundt pan? Might work for sweet corn canning etc. May God continue to bless you and yours!😊
Did you or your kids do that picture on the glass?! I thought it was one of those professional drawings made to look like kids did it. That was absolutely beautiful! Congratulations on the talent!
Ruth I wondered if you boys were adopted? So close in age or are only 2 adopted? Either way, you are an inspiration. Teaching them the ways of self reliance is a rarity. I wish I had talk my boys more. I have 2 no daughters. I thought their wives would do for them what I did but nay, they are some lazy girls I hate to say, but such is in today’s society. Sp good job raising them well!
I find a clean house calming. A tooth brush works well in difficult areas as well as a spray bottle that the spray can be adjusted to a stronger spray.
I’m in northern Minnesota, there is no window cleaning in January 🥶 such long cold winters leaves such little time to get everything done that needs decent weather. You are such a great mom !!! Blessings
I clean windows the same way you do. I also use an old toothbrush and sometimes q-tips to get into the tight places.😊A stiff paintbrush is also good in some places.
I know what you mean about "the more you have the more you have to clean". I constantly have to keep telling myself that in stores when I almost buy what-knots and cute trinkets. But then I stop and say, "It's not that cute, it's a dust catcher."
I like the way you do things and the way you sort the toys before they get home one other thing what is the kind of sweeper you use I need something like that ❤❤❤❤
I think it wiuld have to be great to grow up in a house that was clean and organized. we had chores to do,but no orginization,It seemed like when we cleaned it lookwd messy right away. I think a clean house calms the mind, clean but not sterile.I think each child could react differently. My husband grew up in a very clean house, and he never minded clutter as an adult.I am learning much about deep cleaning.
I need you come my house. i do housekeeping at hospital hard get going on my own messes. lol people tell me go their house all the time when cleaning patient rooms.

Your Grandma is a very wise person. And it appears her granddaughter learned very well. You are an honor and tribute to Grandma. Good job!
It's nice to see your children enjoy books and toys...too many kids today spend their days with a phone or tablet.
Agreed. Children are a map of their parents (or grandparents...).
Many people never learned, or were never taught, how to clean their home / car or what types of tools to use to accomplish this. Channels like yours are great lessons! Thank you 😊
Yes! I was certainly one. Now I'm finally trying to learn with a husband and 4 small children and it's hard.
Yep! I never knew you were supposed to wash your walls until adulthood, for example. Another example would be that lots of people have fireplaces but don't know that they need to be cleaned and inspected yearly.
This reminded me of when my own boys were small. How they loved books and sorting with me!! You’re a great mom and such a happy home.God Bless!!😊
When I was very little my Mom divided my toys into 7 shopping bags labeled by days and that's how she prevented me from becoming bored. Pretty clever.
Your laugh makes me happy. I love watching you with the kids. You are such a blessing. And you have encouraging me to clean my house!

I totally love your Tilt in windows. They would make cleaning the outside glass so much easier

I love how cleaning books prompted some wonderful book exploration and reading. Precious!
I enjoy all the Videos I have watched so far 8-29-2023❤, your Windows are clean-clean👍🏽👍🏽
My mother always rotated our toys back in the 60's. This was a wonderful flashback...ty!
Thought I saw a spot on the window, but the spot was on MY PHONE 😂
Great job. Mine are too old to read to now! Enjoyed the reading time!

When I clean like you, I don't use a screwdriver I use a long metal fingernail file also an old tooth brush.
You’ve inspired me to go through all our kids books. I don’t think they look at all of them.
The reflection in the sparkling clean window at the end❣
I find a clean house calming.

This was the sweetest video! It was fun watching the children. It just made me smile!
It's great that the children are so secure and happy. Do they have any special pets, such as dogs?
LOVE THIS!
I am now motivated to deep clean something. Thank you RuthAnn your videos are wholesome and educational.
you are awesome!!!
Wonderful! ❤
Love your family 😊
Cool windows! Never have seen that before!

Love the music.
Great Mother!!!!!!!!!!!!
God is Good All the Time Your children are precious Thanks for sharing your life with us
Your family is so lucky to have you

Wow, that was very impressive 😄😘🙏🇺🇲
When you washed window, that high pitched music came on. Yes, i am enjoying your vlogs from January and will not belabor this music. 😊
I like the way you do things and the way you sort the toys before they get home one other thing what is the kind of sweeper you use I need something like that ❤❤❤❤

Did you have another house on this farm before this one? If so what happened to it
Love the video. Tooth (old or new) for those little little cracks
How often do you do the declutter and deep cleans?
Do you do any seedlings or cutting videos for your spring garden
I don't, I have several family members that own greenhouses as their livelihood so I purchase from them.
Music is nice on this video. Nope this corner is not cluttered, just well loved. Tehe. Lol. B
I have same brooms, just got 2 more. I get them at our local Amish store.
I need you come my house. i do housekeeping at hospital hard get going on my own messes. lol people tell me go their house all the time when cleaning patient rooms.
What keepsake's do you keep for your kiddos? Books/toys. I'm never sure what to mementos to keep and what to toss
We keep a few books and toys that they really loved and are heirloom quality

❤️❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊
Oh I love to stay in glass.
Window. When you wash that off, I thought. Oh, that is sad. Are you going to put another stain glass window in?
♥️✝️🇺🇸
These kids will be so glad to get out of here asap.
Did your husband make all the toyboxes and shelves?
We are red necks so I got such a kick out of the “red neck” relatives!!!😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Dont encourage the use of that slur. There is no way to use it that it is meant in a positive way. If you dont realize this, shame on you.
