Tried both of them and both failed after few days of use. I use them for sketching and they don’t hold their position after a week or less of use, The 3D printed is slightly better. Found a slightly more expensive one (3d printed, 15 bucks) and it works much better and longer… sorry guys, but these are not good if not for the clear plastic box included. PETG and PLA are not a good option as they fail really fast.
you can very easily fix up their joints by applying some multipurpose floor polish on the ball joints. If you can't find any suitable stuff you can also apply top coat clear nail polish on the ball joints and move it around and the joints will tighten up nicely. I got a few of these for 2 dollars a pop and they stayed pretty tight for a while but I did apply the technique and they're squeaking they're so tight. You can go the even easier route and just get some matte clear spray paint and give them a few coats, the paint will tighten everything up and the matte finish looks nice.
@@Cheezus Thanks for the tip anyway but, after few bad experiences, I prefer not to add anything to my dummies as dirt accumulate on the joints, making the problem even worst. I decided to buy the 3D printed dummies from local online stores as they last much longer, again, based on my experience. These local family owned stores offer good support, even if I spend just few bucks more. The molded dummies I bought before or the ones sold generally for few bucks, tend to break easily and are not so durable and the technique you suggested me is not an easy fix and only risk to mess up things, worse than before…. :(
@TopheTV yeah but I brought a plastic one off of temu and it was very cheap and I tried to assembling the arm together. I'm not sure what to do since the pice that I need to be put in the arm bit won't go in
The piece one is kinda good because its good for people who love to put it to one figure
