2005 Corvette C6 Auto Trans Shifter Stuck in Park Fix

My 2005 auto Corvette will start and run fine, but won't come out of Park! Has been intermittent for a while, and now it's pretty much all the time. So I fixed it by removing the failed safety latch. WARNING! THIS FIX OVER RIDES THE MANUFACTURER FOOT-ON-BRAKE TO SHIFT FEATURE. PROCEED AT OWN RISK. Terrible editing job, but it gets the job done!
