They really did the period correctness of this movie justice. Ken Miles is smiling somewhere, because this is the first time I really got to hear HIS story told. That car and those wins never would have happened without Ken. Carrol Shelby was basically a celebrity from the time he won Le Mans. I was born in 63 and seldom heard Ken's name as part of the Ford vs Ferrari story until this movie. Bravo to the writers of this script and the makers and actors in this movie for finally giving Ken the credit he deserved.
The best movie I had seen in theater for many many years. Bravo to the production team that made this film possible. Thank you as well to casting for bringing in the right actors for the right roles. Couldn't have been any better really if I'm honest. 👍
I wish hollywood would make a movie about the Isle of Man TT races, now that track hasnt changed in 100 years! racing high power super bikes over the mountains and though villages on normal public roads its pure insanity to want to do it, there was a movie about the TT races back in 1935 called "No limits" its a george formby comedy but it does reflect on how dangerous the race is even back in 35 when bikes where going half the speed they are today, they should remake that movie its pretty cool
THIS MOVIE DESERVED TO HAVE WON ALL THE OSCARS. IT IS NOT FAIR TO AWARD KOREAN AND CHINESE CRAP OR NONSENSE FROM THE 20-30 AGENDA, OVER PRODUCTIONS AS DETAILED AND DIFFICULT TO ACHIEVE AS THIS WORK OF ART.
I agree this movie is the most underrated of its time! Somehow messaging an agenda and all that crap has to muddy up movies of today. It’s beautiful to see a movie with no message no agenda just a relatively accurate picture of a wonderful time history!
Christian bale, one of the greatest actors to grace our screens he even had me as a Brit thinking he was American for years but when I found out he was British made me like him even more. PS this movie is great what’s great is the USA, use to be so great look Ford felt disrespected and went and shown Ferrari up four years on the bounce, this is why I love America when the Brits wanted to tax them they fought back great warriors.
You Sir are like me and I'm from across the pond. Not only do I dig racing but I also point out, at rare times, when merited that THE BRITISH are now and have been for years OUR ALLIES. WE FIGHT SIDE BY SIDE TOWARD A COMMON ENEMY AND WELL NOT HESITATE TO HELP OR RESCUE ANY BRIT AS WE WOULD OUR OWN. THE REASON IS THE BRITS WOULD DO THE SAME FOR US(A). It is refreshing to hear an educated man, like yourself commend our commitment a couple of hundred years ago and I'm proud of .enjoy like the SAS and other patriots whom we'd fight alongside any time, any place. God Bless. Ps I lived in London for a year about 12 years ago and we hit a lot of pubs, had a great time, chased some birds, lol and ate a lot of curries. Take care Brother in ARMS
The most enjoyable film for quite a while. Surprised to find out that the lady who played Ken's wife was American. I had no doubt that she was English. The regional accent was perfect. Well done to all the cast and crew.
@17:22,,, I'm not ashamed to say that many of we,, the fans of that race as well as of this movie,, were emotional too. Three GT40 finish #1, #2 and #3, WOW!!
4:55 Holy Shit. In the movie, that crash looks like it was done with CGI but to know that it was real and was done by essentially firing a car like a bullet through the air, thats insane. They really nailed this movie, I fell in love with it on first watching and have seen it loads since. It definitely deserves a place amongst the best motorsports movies. Perhaps not the best, but its up there. Nothing is ever going to touch Steve McQueen's movie but this definitely powers its way past Grand Prix and nudges its way ahead of Rush. So its right up there on McQueen's ass. It gets points knocked off for being a bit economical with the truth, but thats hollywood. You have to expect that. Thats why McQueens Le Mans is untouchable because McQueen refused to let Hollywood touch his movie. So everything else that comes after runs with a handicap of having to be hollywooded but this is rubbing up against the rear bumper of Le Mans and Ken Miles finally gets his love which I'm really happy about.
I found the end to be dumb. When everybody knows that Bale is the winner and let the other ones come close to him and the jury decides for the colleague because of a few seconds, then this jury is quite short sighted. Is this a "political statement" for America? (We know that we are the winners anyway, so we can AFFORD to loose?) Hahaha
The decision was made by the people and race organizations to are the LeMans event. The car that crossed the finish line FIRST started from a position further down the trach ("further") them Miles started. Therefore, car #5 traveled a further distance in 24 hours and therefore was in first place.
Mr. Bale was brilliant. One of the best movies in 25 years.
He can be brutal to crew. Read up on Mr. Hurlburt.
Christian Bale steals every scene he is in in this movie. Especially the ones where he hardly even says anything. One of his best performances.
They did their best to tell a complicated story in a two hour movie. I think they did a great job.
So cool to find out the h-a-p-p-y song came from Christian Bale himself. That was such a great touch to the film.

This might be my favorite role from Christian Bale…he was so good in this movie. A true professional
Great movie, this is a modern movie that doesn’t suck.
They crushed this movie. Great job
Päijänteen ympäriajo aika lähellä.
Working on set, on a film, is just exhilarating. Hard to describe.
The best movie I had seen in theater for many many years.
Bravo to the production team that made this film possible.

Kinda kool for me as I raced at Willow Springs both on a bike and did a bunch of laps in a 60's muscle car, great fun. Loved the film.

A great story with a great cast makes an even better movie. There needs to be more stories like this, but not this one exactly..but in that vein.
💯
You think that the Korean movie was easy to achieve? And because it has something to say then it's ultimately just an agenda. Get over yourself
I agree this movie is the most underrated of its time! Somehow messaging an agenda and all that crap has to muddy up movies of today.

It is very good tribute to awsome man Carol Shelby.

The trailer is superb I feel the perfect lap immediately soon as I watch that.
The huge, dead center screen, watermark really makes this a treasure to watch.
Just great all around. The thing is: this is a true story!!!
Awesomedocumentary well done
It's a very good movie but Denny Hume who co drove with miles wasn't mentioned by name.
Superformance manufactures REPLICAS. Not "kit cars". Big difference. Mr. Rick Collins should know that.
Tf you smoking all replicas are kit cars, not all kit cars are replicas
The most enjoyable film for quite a while.
Surprised to find out that the lady who played Ken's wife was American. I had no doubt that she was English. The regional accent was perfect.
Well done to all the cast and crew.
Lady who played kens wife is not american
Caitriona Balfe is Irish. She played the lead in "Outlander".
"3 mile loop"??? The Circuit de la Sarthe is almost 8.5 miles long. Way to know your subject matter. Pretty damn good movie though!
Brilliant movie,

Wow !!
Think this was a great documentary.
Might be better than the show.
14:38 Ben Collins, aka THE STIG
Such a shame that RCR in Michigan received 0 credit for the cars they built for this movie. Unless i missed their shop being mentioned.
Fascinating!
Well done!
Too bad some of these scenes didn't make it into the movie.
Good movie but not very accurate when you watch interviews of the actual players.
Pretty amazing movie!👍
Great job on
Great movie
God's light,awesome
Beech 18 not a Beech 19
3 mile loop?????? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
This movie is not even close to Steve McQueen's 24 Hours of Le Mans.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I have yet to see this movie but Ford GT40 is the sexiest thing ever made, sorry hot women
Straight away there's a guy lecturing me on Le Man while pulling facts out of his ass. "3 mile track".... Pffft
Beechcraft model 18….get your facts straight…😀

Movie and acting sucked
