    Great tips. Whip looks well made the way it arched over on the bigger fish.

    Great demonstration “speedie”. Cadence have another brilliant addition to the product range. Brilliantly filmed by Chappy.

    Great video and excellent introductory demonstration. If possible can we have a video showing the different variations/combinations of interchangeable sections available in the CP200 range e.g What are the choices if you need a elastic top or not and how to create different lengths 👍

    Hi well I want to test this 6mtr whip as I don't like a telescopic top 5 and that's why I haven't bought the 9 mtr version. If I can extend this to 9 mtrs I will be happy to buy this model Bill

    Hi Ian, loved the video. Using the whip has for a long time been my favourite method, a method which has given me much success in matches over a long period in Scotland over 20 years ago. Alas I've not fished for 20 years but strangely enough I was at Wigmore Lakes yesterday for a look as I now live only 15 minutes drive away and now I've retired was looking for someplace to get myself back into the sport.
    I would like to ask a question about using the whip at Wigmore Lakes. In Scotland I had no chance of hooking an 8 - 10lbs carp on the whip (there wasn't such a thing!) I wasn't intending to use the whip at Wigmore for that reason. The waggler rod was going to be my weapon of choice. Now you've got me thinking. How do you handle a near double figure carp with the whip? I can't add sections!! LOL

      Davy, it's Chappy the camerman here. Ian might miss your question, so I'll try to answer it. Essentially, it wouldn't be terribly sensible to try and target (and land) bigger carp on a whip fishing direct to the tip unless of course the line was very strong. I don't think the whip would break, they are very well made, but maybe cutting back the tip and introducing elastic could be a kind of ok solution, but not ideal to be honest. Therefore, I would suggest only targetting fish to around 2 lb on the whip and have a beefier set up (margin pole) ready for when the larger carp move in. Good luck, it's a lovely venue Wigmore!

      @@cadencefishinguk Hi Chappy I was never intending targeting larger carp of any size I was just wondering if it would be wise to use a whip there, given that carp of that size exist there! I did once land a pike of over 5lbs with the whip on a size 22 hook on a 12 ozs hooklength with double bloodworm! Alas it didn't count in the match! I just want to pleasure fish and catch a bag of silver fish, not done it for so long!

    Disappointing that you are not fishing at the full 6M. Perhaps you could do one as I don’t see anyone fishing at 6M on still waters.

      Whip fishing is about speed, why fish further out if the fish can be caught close in? In the spring we may be across in Ireland where on many waters fishing a longer whip to hand may be much more viable. Cheers.

      @@cadencefishinguk "why fish further out if the fish can be caught close in" In that case why buy a 6m whip when a 3m or 4m will do?

    • @cadencefishinguk
      @cadencefishinguk  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Eddie, the design of the CP200 whip allows it to be fished at 3,4,5 and 6m. Makes it very versatile. We have videos of the whip been fished at longer lengths, like on the recent Wye video. The 6m also interchanges with out CP200 9m making it even more versatile. Cheers James

      @@williameverett942 because a longer whip is useful on places which are deeper and the fish are a bit further out. You don't HAVE to buy a longer one, it's there in reserve though if you do and if you encounter certain circumstances.
