I agree with you. The adaptation shows the seriousness of the story and the War of Witches and Sages. And the music very strongly shows the intensity of passions. Respect that showed the arsenal powerful, but imperfect
I genuenly can't understand why so many people dislike this adaptation. Beautiful visuals, beautiful Bayonetta, coherent storytelling, heartwarming ost. Just....Beautiful.
Because they probably don't understand the difference between adaptations and the tried and true story. I don't know, quite frankly I adored the movie. I kinda wish the same animation studio would do an adaptation of Bayonetta 2 just because they'd done so well with this one. It would've been interesting to see, that's for damn sure.

I have never watched/played Bayonetta before (other than in Smash) and I came here from a Smash Bayo Montage. I couldn’t be happier that I found this song; it’s so soothing.

I personally liked the fight with jubileas in the anime more as you had both witches fighting not just bayonetta against the Goddess of creation, and it's a nod to the white hair you see in game summoning the other one..
I remember seeing the first 8 or so minutes of this anime when it was first coming out but after that I couldn't find it anywhere and I couldn't find anyone talking about it! Thank you for posting this video because now I know that the anime DID came out now I'm going to see if I can watch it!
