To be perfectly honest, the one thing I like about March of the Eagles is the detailed battle report. It really breathes life into the otherwise lifeless number exchange that is battles in this game and EU IV

The game was made purely for MP and was hilarious during the weeks after release. Problem was nobody played it for long and it died. as a pure quick MP game it's awesome!

Honestly, March of the Eagles isn't THE WORST. I know everybody always chucks it up to be just horrible for the gags of it, but it has some decent combat and it's relatively simple compared to it's counterparts, so if you're a newcomer to the grand strategy genre, it's an alright place to begin as a bridge between the strategy section of CoolMathGames and, y'know, actual strategy games.

There were two strategy games in the late 90s far worse than this. Rise and Rule of Ancient Empires and another called Destiny. So bad they were immediately discontinued and I can't find any record of them ever existing. I seem to recall both of them were distributed by Sierra.
Destiny was Bubsy 3D levels of awful, it wasn't even a game. Rise and Rule couldn't run longer than 5 minutes without crashing and your boats would drown.
You should find these and review them.
