I bought a 4x4 2019 bighorn v8 3.92 rar a few weeks ago, that smile while riding and accelerating is REAL. This truck is the most smooth/comfortable ride I have ever experienced in a vehicle, truck, car, whatever. I could not recommend this truck enough. For those in the market, do not pay anywhere near the sticker or msrp, there are a lot of rebates and discounts. I got my $47,715 bighorn for a sales price of $38,300.
@Victor Banuelos 35k was the price, still not bad. I got a deal on it tho, I was looking to get a new 2019 they had, it had $8800 in rebates and they sold it so they tacked the rebates on to the 2020 I got plus the additional rebates the 2020 had so I got a great deal. Truck was 44k
This might be the year I finally get rid of my f150 and get a Ram! I like those sport models with the color matched grills and LED headlights, they look badass! They should put blacked out wheels on them!
I'm 44 years old, and I've owned a full size truck of every flavor (American) my whole adult life. I just bought a 2018 left over Ram 1500. Best truck I've ever owned, but I constantly refer to it as a Dodge Ram. Always will. It's a Dodge, and FCA made a stupid mistake by Dropping the Dodge name.
I completely disagree and the sales of these shows Chrysler made the right move. The dodge brand didn't have the prestige and had a reputation for low quality.
Nicolay Pastore If you don’t mind the power get the V6 BigHorn with Level 2 Equipped package . You get heated seats heated steering wheel and Alpine sound system and some models have even Led package. I got the Level 1 package and I’m missing the heated seats and the Level one has a shit sound system.
Love my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7 E-torque long bed crew cab. So happy the tailgate doesn't have the huge RAM letters on it. The center Ram badge is humble, just perfect. I got the front bench seat so plenty of center carpet space and awesome drawer which just needs a good light above so we can see what's on the floor and in the drawer. Mopar forgot to make a passenger side deployable rear bumper bed step, huge blunder. It's always safest to enter the vehicle furthest from the passing cars and trucks. Lots of people judging this guy on his look, tattoos, and the fact that he called the truck a Dodge…. Pretty tight folks. I felt the same as he did when I first drove a 5th gen. What a wonderful truck. I tow a lot with mine and it tows great. I had an 11 and can’t believe how much nicer…..and more expensive the 22 is! The only drawback is the price.
Nope Hellnope let it go and get with the times mate, Ram left Dodge in a corporate decision in Oct 2010. They have nothing to do what so ever with Dodge.

I’m not really into extra fancy stuff. I just want a great towing package so I can enjoy the latter part of my life towing our 6,000 lb. travel trailer safely. You missed that big hunk of 6061 premium aluminum drive shaft and that is the key to spinning up that hemi lightening fast compared with last years classic.
Regular cab isn't killed off. It's being carried on in the older bodystyle for 2019, then for 2020 there will be a new bodystyle regular cab along with the new style HD 2500/3500
Big headed dudes will say those things like "well it's not a truck if..." The Ridgeline is not a truck. Ford, GM, Ram, Toyota, and Nissan all make "real" trucks. Dial shifters are used in some big heavy duty commercial trucks, lol, so get a clue. After using it for a few months, you find it comes very natural and makes those rolling to-a-stop-and-reversing scenarios very smooth when you get the timing down (hint: shift to Reverse shift before breaking to a stop). You've already been picked on for the Dodge thing, so I'll leave it at that. Decent review though -- you said your honest piece as coming from a GM and Ford truck owner.
The lights look similar to a Chev headlights and the side decal is like a fords. So sad on that, Rams had always looked different, now looks like all the others. But like all the new features.
This is the first truck that Fiat had 100% control in design, so of course the interior is gonna be great. Leave it to the Italians to make good interiors.
What's the "as tested" payload rating. Ram likes to boast about a big number, but the sticker in the door is usually a disgustingly low fraction of advertised
I got the 2019 Ram 1500 BigHorn V6 and I love it. The ride quality is something else . I wish the steering was a bit stiffer but I’m in love with this truck . Gas Milage is good but not the advertised one. The most I got int he highway doing 70 mph with 93 octane gas was 23.7mpg and I do get about 20.3 mpg average in city driving. The V6 engine has very good power for only six cylinders . The only thing I don’t like is the sound system quality is garbage. My wife’s minivan has a better quality sound system. The base is garbage and the overall sound is horrible. You have to get at least a level 2 equipped truck to get the Alpine which I have heard it is amazing.
2019 Ram payload and towing are deceiving, 4x4 crew(3:21 gears, most have these) is rated at 1840 payload and 8,240 Towing. If you can find the 3:92 gears towing jumps to 11,340. If you want max tow, 12,700, you have to wait for the E-torque system.
Main 19 Ram page under specs shows the higher tow cap, no mention of the lower capacity most people will get, nor the gearing needed. Not even a little footnote with the disclaimer shown. You have to leave the ram site to chase down 19's real payload and specs. Multiple dealers have seemed confused by this as well, the last salesman said they should get training on the Rams in a few months.
Jake A. Most truck buyers should already know, especially if they plan on towing, that the higher gear ratio means a higher towing capacity. Also 2wd will always have a higher towing capacity as well as payload.
@@valsahr5836 Trailer TPMS was not available when this video came out. It became available later in 2019. And even today, Ram trailer TPMS only displays tire pressure. Silverado/Sierra display both tire pressure and tire temperature.
Good video BUT as previously mentioned, Dodge has not built trucks for almost a decade. Do a little research. Also nit picking here but there is no such thing as a front quarter panel. Vehicles have fenders and quarter panels. Fenders are only at the front wheels, quarter panels are only at the rear wheels.
Why did ram create a plastic piece at the bottom of the rear bumper to house the sensors. It looks awful, makes the bumper look skinny and doesn’t blend in well with the exhaust cut out and tips.

Good looking truck considering I have 2018 Ram 1500 with only 3000 miles on it. I have had it since April '18. And chrome is so long old. Go solid color, be it black like mine or red. Good video.
The 2022 ram 1500 etorque system has only 1 benefit, it saves a small amount of fuel this is the only benefit for the powerless 3.6 motor. The very STIFF suspension is horrible my truck bounces you around and you feel every BUMP... When I take the truck in for 5000 mile oil change going to complain about the stiff suspension😂
If you look at all the parts on the truck they have dodge logos. All drive trains are dodge's, it's still a dodge ram. You can only get a new one at a dodge dealership

So if you buy the Hemi powered Ram 1500 with the Etorque system. Instead of 395 hp and 410 torque you'll have 395 hp and 540 of torque on tap. That's huge.

I have a 2019 Bighorn with 3.21 gears and my two biggest complaints ... 1) abysmal MPG just really poor; 2) Although it has 395HP and 410TQ why is so slow??? ... my friends 2.7L EB F-150 just blows the doors off the RAM ... which is disappointing :(

Doug Cox I'm having that same idea. My 2018 Dodge Rams rear emblem fell of, so I got it replaced. So I figure in the near future I am going to take the ram off, and have a professional pin stripe where the emblem was as well as pin stripe Dodge under it. My truck a blue Express model, so I think a sky blue pin stripe or black, but what ever I pick is going to be awesome.
@@John8.7 You might want to think about have a machine shop that has a water jet, cut them out. I have seen a lot of letter that have been water jetting and they look good. You can get a get a good body shop to paint the aluminum a color of your choice.

took one for a test drive a couple months ago and rides very nice and comfort is luxury but power is just not there ..i get way more power with my ecoboost and luxury ..plus its built way better than a fca ram product. Its a no brainer , no one beats the king of trucks.
F-150 KING OF TRUCKS if your going to use a truck as a truck the ram is the better vehicle and will be easier to maintain. If your going to go around racing ppl like a teenager yeah buy a eco boost
its a beautiful truck but it fails in 3 areas: no options to compete with ford for the step and handle at the tail gate, old engine with poor fuel economy and it's overpriced. RAM had FOREVER to analyze their competition and do it RIGHT but i think they could have done a much better job. Ford will come out with a new f150 redesign with ecodiesel and hybrid options with an improved interior to again destroy RAM in sales. so this week i went out and bought a 2018 ford f150 vs. the 2019 ram 1500. employee pricing and discounts i managed to take off $15,000 off of a lariat. Ram offered nothing. good luck RAM selling your trucks.
There is a dealer installed step but your right no handle. At 73 I might like a handle but the rest of the truck looks great for long hauls pulling a trailer or fifth wheel. I wonder what the 2500 and 3500 will look like in comparison.

Why no trailer TPMS integrated into the DIC? Ford and GM have it. As a trailer tower, this is a must-have.
You can get it at the dealership everything’s there the just need to plug it in most chevys are the same way

took one for a test drive a couple months ago and rides very nice and comfort is luxury but power is just not there ..i get way more power with my ecoboost and luxury ..plus its built way better than a fca ram product. Its a no brainer , no one beats the king of trucks.
F-150 KING OF TRUCKS if your going to use a truck as a truck the ram is the better vehicle and will be easier to maintain. If your going to go around racing ppl like a teenager yeah buy a eco boost

its a beautiful truck but it fails in 3 areas: no options to compete with ford for the step and handle at the tail gate, old engine with poor fuel economy and it's overpriced. RAM had FOREVER to analyze their competition and do it RIGHT but i think they could have done a much better job. Ford will come out with a new f150 redesign with ecodiesel and hybrid options with an improved interior to again destroy RAM in sales. so this week i went out and bought a 2018 ford f150 vs. the 2019 ram 1500. employee pricing and discounts i managed to take off $15,000 off of a lariat. Ram offered nothing. good luck RAM selling your trucks.
There is a dealer installed step but your right no handle. At 73 I might like a handle but the rest of the truck looks great for long hauls pulling a trailer or fifth wheel. I wonder what the 2500 and 3500 will look like in comparison.
