Just bought a 2021 Ram 1500. Love it so far. And yes, I’m with you on the whole “Dodge” vs. “Ram” thing. I accidentally call mine a dodge sometimes. I almost bought a Silverado, but man I got a great deal on this Ram and I have to admit, I like it better than the Chevy. The ride is so much better and the interior is not even close. The seats are great and I really like the 8 inch screen…the cup holders are everywhere. Lol!!
ive got 2020 ram the north package ( those were made for northern states block heater skid plates ext ) has the 392 gears love it only down fall is fuel mileage 11-13 mpg but ill take it had it ffor two years and still love it
What’s funny is the ram 1500 is the cheapest of the big three truck manufacturers. You can find a big horn in the low 30s with under 50,000 miles whereas Chevy and Ford similarly equipped are mid to high 30s. I definitely haven’t seen a Z 71 in the new body style under 40 grand
@@project4793 yes sir. Bout 15 mins maybe 20 and your done. They have different weight ratings too. I think black is the lowest, blue is the middle and yellow is the highest. Could be wrong. But TH-cam has a tone of vids and reviews on this.
Nice truck.... I got the 2019 Ram (not Dodge lol). Can’t find anything I don’t like yet. Got the Harmin Kardon sound system. Wow and sound great. Alpine good also.
@@project4793 get a morpar level lift and Fox shocks front and back. And 35 inch 295/65R20s fit with only a slight rub in reverse when you turn the wheels as far as they will go. Then you will need the power running boards to make it easier to get in and out.
@@rl2769 I have a 2 inch leveling kit. Your tire size measures out to 35.1" and 11.6" wide. So your tire is .1 of an inch bigger and .9 of an inches skinnier than mine. So literally the same thing I just have wider tires. Watch my other video of my set up if you want to see it.

Texan here and have the same love mine putting a leveling kit on it and maybe 305/70/18 if they fit.
I agree about cloth seats! I’d rather have cloth than leather because of the heat and cold.
I loved the room in my 21 bighorn, it's not so big now with 3 car seats in the back.

Holding down the Traction Control turns off ESC on the 5th gens actually.
You are correct yes, but you can't turn off the ESC in 2wd on a ram, only in 4wd where on a GM or Ford you can!

I didnt find it to be any worse, slightly rougher but not noticeable if you've ran mud tires/all terrains befor
