Brilliant methodology, finish, and flight. Thank you very much for a really cool demonstration of 'how to' built lightweight aircraft. Diolch yn fawr, Den, Wales.

I love the care you take. One thing is puzzling me - I see you spray/glue the paper template onto the foam, but don't see it from that point on in the build. If you removed it, how did you do it without damaging the foam, please? This video hAS INSPIRED ME TO BUILD ONE, ALTHOUGH i DON'T HAVE A 3D PRINTER, IT WILL BE A TRADITIONAL APPROACH, BUT i STILL WANT TO GET IT RIGHT. tHANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TROUBLE TO SHOW US YOUR BUILD, AND LOVELY AIRCRAFT, dEN mORAN,sWANSEA. sORRY cAPS LOCK!

Thank you for your kind words about the plane.
The adhesive I use is a low tack 'basting' spray used for sewing. A light coat is sufficient to hold the paper template while cutting the foam, then the paper is easily removed without effect on the foam. My first model of this didn't have 3D printed parts, just frames etc made from the same Depron foam. Easily done.
      Cheers.

Hi! Just a quick word to let you know that the tip you gave me on using the temp spray glue worked a treat on the Polaris I'm building today. I've had to check on finishes etc., because the depron is the new gray colour.I will be starting the Drake as soon as I finish the Polaris.Probably by next Friday. Keep safe, diolch yn fawr, Den, Cymru (Wales)

Foam safe CA (cyanoacrylate) - normal CA will dissolve styrene foam. Can also use epoxy (heavy), polyurethane (slow cure), or UHU Por (use as a contact adhesive).
