      Cosmo Vedder No doubt, lol. Dad probably never played football so he wasn't used to seeing hits like that. Makes kids tough though, and learn real fast. Seen a few of these in my days. Get your head out of the clouds and look around for cheap shots. I just laughed it off, and got paybacks after hits like that. Those were the good ole days, when parents didn't make fools of their self.

      Dude Jenson Yeah my dad used to stand on the sideline during my Pee Wee football games. Then after a game where I took a cheap shot, he would say something like "so did u learn anything from that?"

I know them extras gotta be in the way when they go to open up a new can of snuff with their tooth. I have coached youth sports several years and the worst part about it, is the parents. Hands down. The best thing we had was a silent game. Parents could hold signs and clap, but no yelling at the kids. It was glorious and without exception the kids always love it.

      There was a 60's model Ford truck that would pull up by the outfield fence and watch our little league baseball games. One of the coaches was known for throwing fits and screaming at players,umps and parents. I wasn't at that field that day but that coach was. The coach blew up and yelled at everyone and the people said the door on that Ford opened up and a big old cowboy got out of it. He strolled around the field and walked into the dugout and punched that coach in the wind and the gut and then set him down and had a long talk with him about sportsmanship.
      The guy was parked in his usual spot the next time we played at that field and our coach and the other coach went and talked to him. His wife couldn't have children and he'd been a good highschool and college player and liked coming and watching us kids play. Saturday games it was a tradition for the winning team to buy the losing team snowcones. He took over after that and Tuesday games and Saturday games every team that played on any field got snowcones. The world needs more people like that man. This was in 1979 in New Mexico.

    I had a parent from the opposing team come to my sideline tonight looking for the kid who hit his son. When I asked him what he was doing and that it’s unacceptable to do what he was doing he tried to spin it like he was trying to help. I simply told him that’s the coaches’ jobs to correct anything done wrong, never the parents during the game. He acted surprised I was confronting him, but never in any situation is that acceptable. This block by the way was 100% clean. I had to watch a couple times, but you can see it was shoulder to shoulder and not from behind.

      The kid never saw the blocker coming. It was a blindsided hit and when he hit him it turned him the right way and made it look like a straight up front hit. I am watching this slowed down on a 65" 4k TV. Are blind sided hits allowed against defense in this youth sport? It is very dangerous to hit someone like that. You can knock them out easy and give them concussion. When I played back in the 90s this was completely legal and you usually got a stinger and they would throw you right back and say man up. Even at his age you see how effective it was. That kid didn't get up right away. I think anything that could knock someone out should be illegal, but would it still be football? I loved football and would't change it, but dangerous.

    The refs shouldn't be risking their lives - here's how you end this shit once and for all: whenever a parent sets foot on the field, their kid is immediately thrown out of the game. Second offense, the kid is out for three games. Third offense costs the kid the season. You start making the kids suffer the consequences of their douchebag parents, this shit will end real quick.

    • @gabrielschwartz5973
      @gabrielschwartz5973 8 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      +Stalicone Kids don't deserve the consequences. I respectfully 100% disagree with your idea here. You don't know my dad, but he was my wrestling coach and kind of my football coach, though not the real football coach. He has had outbursts, and don't worry, the kid is already punished enough by how embarrassing it is to have their dad/mom stomp onto the field pissed off. The dad should leave the property and not allowed to return. Not the child, it's unfair.

    • @Stalicone
      @Stalicone 8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Gabriel Schwartz
      Hello young man. I really thought about your comment and the "unfairness" of my recommendation. I have 2 points to make: first, life isn't fair and justice is fleeting. Second, you make sure all the parents understand the consequences of their actions, those consequences being suffered by their own child. Blown calls are simply a part of sports - that's the way it goes. Healthy emotionally adjusted parents dont live vicariously through their kids. If you remove the offending parents child from the field of play, you remove the very reason they were acting irrationally.
      Best of luck to you - play hard!

    • @gabrielschwartz5973
      @gabrielschwartz5973 8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yes but the kid isn't the one who did the wrong. For example. I play on a football team which co ops with another team. In the beginning of the year, a kid swore on the bus to the other school and the bus driver got mad. That one kid that played football got the entire bus of football players in trouble. Mind you, there were other people on this bus as well, not just football players. Now the football players were not allowed on this bus and had to find their own rides to practice, which means a lot of kids were not able to go. See, this whole bus was punished for one kids stupid act. It was just unfair to all those who did nothing wrong. If this child is good on a team, it will affect the whole team, maybe causing the team to lose. So in your solution, not only is the child punished, and the parent, but as well as the entire team. Yes, it may solve one solution, but the entire team does not deserve to pay the price for a single parent's stupidity.

My brother played little league baseball one time during a game some grown ass man ran onto the field interrupting the game he ran up to the plate pushed my brother and snatched the bat out of my brother's hand, my dad ex-military and boxer and I were in the stands, my dad said wait here. I watched my dad abruptly leave the stands behind home plate, jump over the little 3 ft fence run onto the field to the man with the bat and knock him out cold with a right, then gave the bat back to my brother, the crowd went wild with applause. This was in the late 60's in the wild,wild west of California. Moral of the story, Don't mess with people's kid's.

    My very first play in tackle football I got clocked while playing kickoff return. Turned around to make sure my guy caught the ball and when I turned back around, BOOM, I was on my backside. I stood up and looked in the back of the endzone, my dad was standing there and I'll never forget what he did. He chuckled, gave me a thumbs up and said "Welcome to football baby!" It was hilarious and my first thought was, "damn, well i'll probably never get hit that hard again in my career." and I was right, hardest hit I remember and I played for 8 years.
