What a waste of people's time, you should've said straight from the beginning that we need 3D's Max in order to open the files in Blender/Unreal. This is a waste of time, don't watch it guys.
Exactly, at first this seems like a solution to not having 3ds but in reality this vid has nothing todo with a YTF file and obviously anyone can edit a YTD *smh*

Can you please make a video where you show how to get your GTA V online character into a 3d model
3 years late. But you need to build the model. Then use a plugin to animate it. So basically you'd be importing each piece of the model. Exporting it as a FBX, then reimporting it as a fully made model.

Anyway to make clothing without having to Use 3DS Max considering the title is talking about blender? I think majority of people looking to work with blender are doing so because 3DS price gouged their subscriptions and people are trying to abandon it because they're greedy af.
why is it that I cant find any information on importing gta ytf/ytd files into blender?
@Mohammad Rajabloo yeah using zmodeler you want to export the file as a .dae and it should pop up in blender.

when I try to export the ytd file to odd it says Protected model, geometry is locked

That's because the author doesn't want you to export the model for saftey.

zmodeler and u have to purchase license $7 u can import gta v ydd files and obj to get custom ydd file zmodeler let u convert from obj to ydd.

@@vladsor994 It does work, if you are getting the "cannot load script blah blah error" then you have multiple drives and more then one %appdata% folder, go and copy the GIMS folder to each APPDATA LOCAL on each drives in each user profile folder until it works and voila!

Use GIMS evo the way you imported but instead you export from 3ds max and then import it into the gtav rpf folder using openiv

Unfortunatley. I tried aswell but in order to use OpenIV you need gta 4 or 5. Or max payne 3. so if you dont have gta v just download it or some'in even if you wont play it
