Thanks a lot for this. Tried watching other vids on this but there wasn’t enough emphasis on actual work! I’m transitioning from print to UX and wanted to see how things could go before starting my new role. Thanks for making!
Thank you Wesley for the video, it's awesome! Last month I have started UX/UI bootcamp, and I'm really enjoying the process, but also I have so many fears and doubts about my future... Thanks that you provide these videos and they help people like me to continue our Design Way!
Love the longboard ASMR. Give the people what they want LOL. This was super cool. Some similarities with my work but also some differences. It's cool to see how things differ from my own personal experience. Keep up the good work man, love seeing your videos pop into my subscription box!
I'm going to have to get used to waking up in the early mornings! Thank you so much for your video. I just started UX boot camp just last week and I am excited for next year to transition.
This is so great! Thank you for sharing Wesley! I would have loved to see the rest of your day too. Maybe a full day in the life? 😃 I am a new and growing UX Designer and I love getting to know other professionals and how they approach their work. It was great learning from you so I subscribed!
I hope my first job is a wfh position. I'm almost done with my google ux cert.. will probably get one more as a specialization and then have my portfolio done by nov/dec. My goal is to move to mexico and work remotely. Thanks for making quality content where people like me can enjoy, learn, and also get inspired from. Much appreciated.
Thank you for the kind words! Just an FYI, I do see a slight trend toward companies wanting to move toward a hybrid model now, where you have to be in-office certain days and the rest remote. My assumption is that full-remote will become a luxury in the near future and it'll be hard to find them.
Im in Atlanta, I'm taking the Coursera + Google UX Design course. With that being said, I'm to get into the field but I'm more interested in the UI Design than UX. With that being said I'm looking forward to join the UX/UI industry as soon as I'm done with this course.
Loved this!! I always wondered how exactly usability testing is conducted, and this helped a lot! Before COVID, was this type of usability testing usually done in person? Thank you!
For me, doing an in-person user testing is preferred. Seeing facial expressions is a plus, to see and understand their emotion as they go through the testing. Due to these "crazy times," a lot of designers have had to resort to virtual user testing, which is still effective.
Hi! I really like your content! I notice that I get a bit distracted by the volume of the music, as there is text in the music. Thought I would let you know as your user :D (but I am also quite sensitive, so maybe most other people do not struggle with it!)
Thank you! Without getting into too much details, my company has users scattered across the States at primary locations where they work. We just reach out to them via email/phone call in order to schedule something. If you don't already have a pool of people to recruit users from, there's usertesting.com where you can access their database of users as well.
HAHA it happens. Pre-pandemic, I had to do a team presentation in front of the entire tech department. Public speaking/presentation skills are pretty important as UX designers.
@@WesleyHongUX Is holding presentations the same as in school when you had one chance and one chance only to nail the presentation otherwise you wouldn't pass the course? If not, are you holding a new presentation with the adjustments and feedback you got from previous presentation afterwards? Great channel, new sub here!
I like that you actually showed a snippet of your talk with your team! A lot of other videos don't do that!
Thank you for sharing

Always appreciate the love and support from you man! Love watching you grow and succeed in your UX journey!

Thank you for the kind words! Best of luck on your new UX bootcamp journey!
Love how balanced your life is! And organized, so organized ! 😲
Thank you Janice!
As a project manager, I definitely understand the flow of your schedule. :)
HAHA that tech live

Duly noted for another day in the life! Thank you for the kind words and support!
Awesome video! Looking to potentially get into the sphere of User Experience and User Interaction, so it was great seeing a day in your life!
This is so cool! Great job Wesley!!!

It would also be awesome to move and work from another country. Just out of curiosity why do you want to work from mexico?
Really good video Wesley!
You seem to have found a flow in your role! Good stuf!!

I want to be an uiux designer your vlog was refreshing and motivating 👍🏻😀
Thank you!
How did you got your first job in UI UX? Have you did an internship or directly got the job?

Wassup Wesley, I am based in ATL too. Does this job consist of working all 8 hours?

Great video! How do you find people to do user testing ?
Thank you!

@@WesleyHongUX this is so helpful thanks so much. Really appreciate it :)
Interesting, I didn't know UX Designers interacted with users on testing space.
Even if you are on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.
:)
I think daily stands are the most pointless thing ever. Do meetings as needed...

is that k pop ? ;)
Did the interns really do a presentation in front of 150+ people? Whew...
