I sometimes refrigerate my left over hot coffee once it’s cooled and when I want some cold iced coffee I also mix in some homemade or bought syrups and milk. 😋 coffee doesn’t get wasted.
Abby Rodriguez our family does too! We brew it at night, by morning or afternoon it’s cold, and just delicious! We’re weird, we don’t enjoy hot coffee lol, but iced coffee; oh yes!
I just did this but with instant coffee and it tastes so good! I used honey to sweeten it instead and it tastes like the iced latte from my college’s Starbucks. I was so sad after quarantine bc I wouldn’t be able to have the drink anymore but thanks to this, I can do it myself now! 😊

Walmart brand isn't tea bag size. It's like a tea bag but it goes in a pitcher of water. Can be found in the coffee section next to the Starbucks cold brew filter packs.

My mother drank iced coffee undressed. I asked her in my early teens why, she said it was because of me. As a baby I would start to cry and when she got back to her coffee it would be cold. No microwaves back then, so she just put ice in her coffee. I do the same today.

Flavoring your cold brew before you brew it is such an awesome idea! Definitely didn't think about doing it before throwing it in the fridge. Also, soaking the grounds with a little bit of water is a great idea as well.

I take the easy way and use a French press and let it sit in the fridge overnight and then in the morning I just press it down that takes care of the grounds and then you have wonderful tasting coffee.
I usually add the hot espresso to ice but this seems like a better way. I'll try this in the French Press so it will strain the grounds when pouring. Making a batch in the morning, thanks.

You can use any coffee for cold brew. I bought a cold brew mesh filter on Amazon for around $10 . Just plunk it in a wide mouth mason jar add your grounds then add filtered water to the neck of the jar. Put in fridge for 24 hours then use. It concentrated so you add water to your taste before drinking. Ps: I now use a half gallon jar so I have enough for almost two weeks of coffee.
Same here. I buy bulk dark roast coffee from Sprout's, grind it course, then use the half gallon filter system for 48 hours. Twenty-four at room temperature and 24 in the fridge gives me the best brew. I've been doing cold brew for years, before every coffee shop around started offering it. Now whenever I drink regular coffee, I am reminded of the reason I love cold brew (through practice) is that it's so smooth and the flavor undertones are more noticeable without the bitterness. And I can now appreciate black and unflavored coffee, which I never thought I would. I love the cold brew method so much, I got a second system for tea. Best of both flavors at home. I've never bought cold brew coffee from a shop, but I used to buy iced coffee from Starbucks too often. I have not been to Starbucks for years now, but my favorite coffee for cold brew is Starbucks' "Komodo dragon" that I still think about - especially when I drink the last cup from my pitcher.

I was about six years old.... My dad would make his Nescafé walk away to grab something and I would take a bug gulp lol... He also used to sprinkle a little bit of Nescafé on my vanilla ice cream.. That was DECADES ago. I fall asleep to this day excited to wake up and taste my coffee in the am....

That's what I do too and I use just a tad of liquid French vanilla coffee creamer instead of milk.

I do this all the time! I have a slow pour coffee and always put the left overs in fridge for cold coffee the next day.

Torani has the best syrups and you can actually purchase syrups from Starbucks but they are on the pricey side
