Tips for frothing: When making it froth use COLD water. I used hot water like it said to however when it came to trying to trap air bubbles it doesn’t work
For those who can’t have any dairy at all but want to make the matcha one. Use coconut cream from a can and make sure it has at least 40% fat or so. Just blend it using a cold bowl and it whips up the same. I used to work at a boba tea shop. It helps to also mix the matcha in a little bit of hot water to make sure it doesn’t have a grainy texture
What I did for the matcha 🍵 dalgona I put 2 tbps of aquafaba, matcha and hot water mixture, with a syrup I made. I did 1/8 cup of sugar to some water but you can adjust sweetness.
@@reign77777 aquafaba is the liquid in cans of chickpeas! It doesn't taste like beans or anything. I use it all the time when baking and there's no taste or texture difference to me.
Aquafaba literally means «bean water», so it is not exclusively from chickpeas/garbanzo beans, but you have to use light colored beans like chickpeas, cannelini etc. I have only used chickpeas myself, except for once, when I «had to» give kidney beans a try. The stand mixer was running for around 20 minutes, but I couldn’t get a firm foam, so had to give it up. Too bad, because it was such a pretty, pink foam... Maybe cream of tartar would have helped, not sure. Don’t know if a little baking powder can help puff aquafaba-foam up, it makes whipped cream more stiff and helps when using whipped cream in hot climates (would be interesting to try with coconut cream, e.g. 1 tsp pr can of cream). But one thing that really makes it easier, is to let it become thicker, less water content, before whipping. Either cook it in or leave it out on the counter for a while to thicken. Also makes sense if you want to use aquafaba as a binder instead of eggwhite, let it get to the thickness of egg, would help (though I most often use flax egg for that, it’s so quick and easy)...
I just made the coffee one for my mom and I and we both LOVE IT!! We added a hint of maple extract since it’s fall/winter right now for us and it is so perfect ❤

I had made lavender syrup for making milk tea with and tried making it with the dalgona coffee and it was HEAVENLY. Instead of sugar I did the syrup and just added a tad less water. Was great!

Oh this is soo nice! I only tried the original last night ... Your video is sooo nice cause your kitchen is really beautiful !!! I need to make my kitchen more beautiful for my next video hahahahah THANK YOU for your INSPIRATION!
Way back at the beginning of the pandemic, I finally made the dalgona coffee because I knew if I didn't get any sleep for a while (I don't have caffeine EVER for health reasons so it was a treat) or had problems, I didn't have to worry about being ready for work any time soon. It really did taste like coffee ice cream. Was delicious. If ever I need to be up for 24 hours straight, I'll make it again, lol. That said, I'm going to have to try making some non caffeinated versions because while I can't have caffeine... I still want pretty drinks, lol. Plus, the whipped, fluffy texture of the dalgona really is lovely.
Hi! I love your videos, thank you for putting great content out- always! I wanted to shed some light on this drink. This is NOT called a Dalgona drink, it has been named that by culture right now. This drink is a Frappé coffee, Greek coffee. (wiki en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frappé_coffee but you can do additional research). It has been around for decades and although I'm not Greek myself, I have seen Greek individuals (or with Greek roots) express their disappointment over this. Their history/culture is being rewritten by people who have no idea or consideration. You have a great following and I thought it'd be worth a shot telling you to help spread the word.
Ummm... many cultures have similar practices, and in this case, recipes. It just so happened that it became famous from Korea this time. Look at the comments, no one else is claiming it was “stolen” from them. The whole point of recipe is to share them so that others can experience foods the same way you do. I did in fact learn about the Greek coffee because of your comment, though. Thanks for that.
Gacha 101 I hated coffee even the smell made me want to throw up. Then I made this for my dad and I tasted a little. Now I drink coffee every day. Game changer.
Managed to make semi-whipped coffee on my third attempt this morning by whisking via hand problem was the bowl I was using was too wide which the mixture spread over think making it tough to whisk properly. I don't have a hand mixer but have a food processor with a flat attachment for creaming which I will instead try to use tomorrow morning though :). I'll try out the matcha version too later in the week when I get some from the shops.
i love the classic dalgona (i made it at home the other day, but then i ran out of instant coffee lol) i kinda wanna try the matcha one. i like matcha a little bit, but i like it more mixed with lemonade or juice so i dunno
Adriane Miller what about like pineapple juice mixed with coconut milk with the matcha dalgona on top? It would have the brightness still that juice or citrus mixed with matcha normally has but the creaminess the dalgona has

I saw a video on that. They put a smidge of instant coffee so that it foams up and they did equal parts of the tea and sugar n whipped it up. The coffee flavor doesn’t come through honestly, I tried it.
RIGHT? at that point, I don't know why people just don't put energy drinks in a milkshake and call it a day. Coffee isn't meant to be sweet. Sonetimes I accidentally add too much sugar into my coffee and it's a genuine struggle to drink it. I like it bitter.
I like sugar in my coffe cuz that's how I was raised making coffe which is kinda bad sense I got diabetes in all sides of my family ,anyways I like black coffe with a little sugar to
Omg I made coconut matcha pancakes the other day YOU READ MY MIND. BEST food TH-cam video I've seen in a long long time . Good job you got a big new fan ❤😀😀
I tried this and it’s so freakin good. I found my thing, just by itself it tastes like espresso(I used 2 tablespoons of artificial sweetener, but it was still espresso to me, not sweet), but when added to milk it’s so good. I tried the matcha version also, and it’s delicious
this is kind of random - but where are those glasses from? i love the shape! getting my first set of my own glassware so keeping my eye out for interesting and modern shapes :)
Andy Mack yeah I thought so too, but keep in mind matcha can become frothy, but not the whipped cream texture like you do with the coffee one, so you have to use heavy whipping cream in order to have the desired whipped effect like the coffee

I tried your recipes for the classic dalgona and matcha this morning, and they were soooo good! I’m not even a matcha person but the matcha flavor was actually the star of the show. Thanks for sharing these awesome recipes I love watching your videos !! 💗
my parents used to make this for me when I was in high school...because their parents made it for them when they were in high school
I had made lavender syrup for making milk tea with and tried making it with the dalgona coffee and it was HEAVENLY. Instead of sugar I did the syrup and just added a tad less water. Was great!
I've been seeing this all over and I love that you have 3 recipes
Outstanding. People have sent me a lot of recipes for this drink, but yours appears to be the most balanced.
The matcha and coffee one are calling to me. They look beautiful in those glasses! I was hoping the golden milk one was peanut butter flavored. LOL
Doodah Gurl i bet peanut butter powder would work in the matcha whipped cream style really well
rlly excited to try the turmeric one!!! :) thanks so much for the recipe
Last one is amazing recipe~ Whole presentation is clear and awesome. I made original Dalgona and Machaa dalgona but I've never seen this last one. I want to try it for sure. Thanks for sharing!!. Have a wonderful day ^^
I like the combination of pink, deep blue, pale blue and teal of the accessories and appliances in the background!
Thanks for this! Coffee really isn't my thing, so I'll def try these extra recipes out!!
She's so informative and already answers questions that I come up with !!!
Oh this is soo nice! I only tried the original last night ... Your video is sooo nice cause your kitchen is really beautiful !!! I need to make my kitchen more beautiful for my next video hahahahah THANK YOU for your INSPIRATION!
Agree ahahahah her kitchen is soooo beautiful
Thank you so much for your heart!😘😘😘
Great recipes! Besides the coffee I now also want a pink beater😁💜
instead of having to mix in the foam into the milk at the end, would you be able to add a dollop to the cup before adding the milk
I've actually put the dalgona in first, then ice, then milk and it's sooo good. The dalgona rises up into the cold milk. Looks beautiful too. 😋
Nik Camilleri people put in the dalgona after the milk to make it look prettier but it mixes wayyy easier if you put it in before the milk
I am so excited to see this! Can’t wait to make it!
Oawwwwwwww heeey its about my country recipe , i really appreciate when foreigns cook korean recipes 😢💕 thank you ! Aww...
It actually inspired by whipped/beaten coffee from India.
Ummm... many cultures have similar practices, and in this case, recipes. It just so happened that it became famous from Korea this time. Look at the comments, no one else is claiming it was “stolen” from them.
The whole point of recipe is to share them so that others can experience foods the same way you do. I did in fact learn about the Greek coffee because of your comment, though. Thanks for that.
you are so inspiring, sending you and your family all the love
Me, a person that doesn't like coffee:
" *i need it. but-* "
M O O D
MATCHA
Gacha 101 I hated coffee even the smell made me want to throw up. Then I made this for my dad and I tasted a little. Now I drink coffee every day. Game changer.
Love this Honey 🍯 you have the most interesting and colorful videos! Thank you 🙏🏻
Dalgona means "Sweet" in Korean.
Dalgona is actually a sweet treat made with sugar! it doesnt literally mean ‘sweet’. The coffee was named dalgona because it looks like the treat!
Dalkom means sweet
Managed to make semi-whipped coffee on my third attempt this morning by whisking via hand problem was the bowl I was using was too wide which the mixture spread over think making it tough to whisk properly. I don't have a hand mixer but have a food processor with a flat attachment for creaming which I will instead try to use tomorrow morning though :). I'll try out the matcha version too later in the week when I get some from the shops.
i love the classic dalgona (i made it at home the other day, but then i ran out of instant coffee lol)
i kinda wanna try the matcha one. i like matcha a little bit, but i like it more mixed with lemonade or juice so i dunno
Adriane Miller what about like pineapple juice mixed with coconut milk with the matcha dalgona on top? It would have the brightness still that juice or citrus mixed with matcha normally has but the creaminess the dalgona has
@@emmajensen2246 Wow!! That sounds good! I'll have to try it!!
Your personality is so cute, I discovered you last night and I've been binge watching your videos. I'm glad I found your channel all your cooking is so easy and looks 😋😋😋👌🏻👌🏻
Middle school girls: I love coffee, it’s like I’m addicted to caffeine
How they make their coffee:
Ten cen Ahaha (im in highschool) i used to be like that, but now i jus drink iced black coffee bc its good.
Lol im in middle school and I like regular coffee. Idk is it bad for u tho??
Peachii Dreams as a teen we def shouldn’t drink too much caffeine, it can delay growth and cause sleep issues
@@mmmtastyalidzie2435 Wowww... I didn't know that. Ty!
Peachii Dreams no problem :) you can have coffee every now and again when out with friends etc. but even then i'd advise really milky coffee
The matcha one is calling my name! I love golden milk too. I want to make a Thai tea dalgona!
That sounds delicious!
I saw a video on that. They put a smidge of instant coffee so that it foams up and they did equal parts of the tea and sugar n whipped it up. The coffee flavor doesn’t come through honestly, I tried it.
@@tammyclairs166 as far as I know, it was hot thai tea used instead of hot water, and two table spoons of each
Tammie C omg that’s so much better then adding like whipped cream and like eggs which is all very unnecessary!!!
your kitchen is soooooooooo aesthetically pleasing
I thought the tittle said Diagon coffee 😂I was like Harry Potter coffee😂
Harry Potter tings
OMG... That would be so amazing 😍
Bobby Luna hahah now that would be awesome. Check out our trial run of frothy coffee. th-cam.com/video/gXEQYju8lFw/w-d-xo.html
Okay now someone needs to make a butterbeer coffee!
I just want to say that your videos help me deal with anxiety during big homework assignments XD thank you for your videos!
The more I watch videos like this the more a realize people like their cup of sugar with a little bit of coffee
RIGHT? at that point, I don't know why people just don't put energy drinks in a milkshake and call it a day. Coffee isn't meant to be sweet. Sonetimes I accidentally add too much sugar into my coffee and it's a genuine struggle to drink it. I like it bitter.
That’s how I like it lol!
I like sugar in my coffe cuz that's how I was raised making coffe which is kinda bad sense I got diabetes in all sides of my family ,anyways I like black coffe with a little sugar to
Where my family ate whole roasted coffee beans as they are, crunched up bitter little bites of energy.
People can like their coffee anyway they want it, if you like it bitter drink it bitter there’s no wrong and right way!!
Great video! She really seems to know what she's talking about, and the matcha looks awesome!
My dyslexic ass has been reading it “Dahlonega” this entire time
Omg I made coconut matcha pancakes the other day YOU READ MY MIND. BEST food TH-cam video I've seen in a long long time . Good job you got a big new fan ❤😀😀
3:30
(You can ignore this comment, I’m just putting a time stamp for myself for when I make this in the future)
I tried this and it’s so freakin good. I found my thing, just by itself it tastes like espresso(I used 2 tablespoons of artificial sweetener, but it was still espresso to me, not sweet), but when added to milk it’s so good. I tried the matcha version also, and it’s delicious
I tried this and I couldn't sleep for two days
Thank you for these. I’m not a huge coffee fan so the golden milk one sounds fabulous!!!
this is kind of random - but where are those glasses from? i love the shape! getting my first set of my own glassware so keeping my eye out for interesting and modern shapes :)
I love golden milk, thanks for the recipe 🤤💛🌞
Is there a "chocolate milk" version where we can use hot chocolate? 🤣
If there isn't, I'm going to make one of my own.
Serina Salazar I have a salted caramel dalgona coffe recipe 🙈
just do the matcha one and replace the powder with instant cocoa
You can just make the coffee but add like chocolate syrup to make a Mocha I’m sure it would taste good
Use equal parts cocoa powder and sugar with heavy cream!
You are hands down one of the cutest cooks ever lol XD you are so humble and I love watching your videos really good when I am working
So wouldn’t the matcha dalgona just be matcha whipped cream?
Andy Mack yeah I thought so too, but keep in mind matcha can become frothy, but not the whipped cream texture like you do with the coffee one, so you have to use heavy whipping cream in order to have the desired whipped effect like the coffee
I always love your videos and have been watching for years!! Also your electric mixer is so cute! I love the pink!
4-5 min? I did it by hand and it took me over 20💀😭
oooh! you got me with the matcha one! I'm obsessed! Thank you as always!
She doin a lot of extra stuff way to many dishes that have to be cleaned 😂
😂😂😂
I made the Classic Dalgona Recipe tasted great! Was so happy with the amount of sweetness
Beech nah! That's basically just milk! Her reactions are so overdramatic xD
This is my first time watching you and I LOVE your voice, so soothing!
