Hi. I've very new to modeling cars and I own a real NA track ready miata. For my first build- I bought a miata but I think I need an air gun to get the quality I want. Are all the 1:24 model car wheels interchangeable? I'm trying to figure out where I can buy new wheels to match the wheels I have on the real one. Thanks! Yours looks amazing!
Hello sir. Love your tutorial about the mx5 I have a question. During the assembly. What is the part A5 and A27 for? Coz they looks like they are both for the turn lever
If you mean the applicator on CA (crazy glue) bottles, no matter what you do they will eventually sieze up and the glue must be thrown away. I think people stuff a toothpick or other item to plug the applicator but most CA should be thrown away after a month. Fortunately your local hobby shop has small bottles for a good price.
Loving your models! Can't get enough of watching because of watching of how you do things differently, and trying them out! KUTGW (Keep up the good work) :)
Just wondering what wheels you are using on this build, my dog chewed one of my stock ones so I was going to order a different set from your website but I'm not sure which ones would work.. Any suggestions?
Well, they will pretty much all work. Though no matter wich one you choose there will be modifications need to be made to either the wheel or wheel well( maybe even both) to get them to fit. And i think 18 inch wheels are the biggest you can fit without looking wierd.
Cool Thanks! Keep in mind that shipping to the US is not listed in the shipping price's becouse the cost depends on the weight. So select Payment at collection and ill email you with the shipping cost etc. Also no Zero paints shipped outside of europe.
Good work and a very helpful video series too. Do you have any preference between using acrylic and enamel paints when painting or airbrushing your kits? What are advantages and disadvantages between them? Thanks.
In all his videos I've only seen him use enamel paints for one purpose -- putting down a sticky surface to add flocking to (powdered fibers to create the appearance of carpet for the floorboards of his cars). Everything else is acrylic as it's just so easy to shoot and cleanup and is dry to the touch in 10 minutes. He does use lacquer-based primer and clear coat which are tricky to deal with compared to acrylic but still not nearly as difficult to clean as oil-based/enamel.
Man, only afterwards did I actually watch this and see everything I did wrong. Luckily, at least one side looks good so that's where I take all my pictures :)
Have i ignored a question you posted before?(since you say please respond) I think you mean the carpet look? If so. Thats flocking. I apply a thick coat of enamel humbrol paint and add to flocking on top. The flocking sticks to the paints and when you remove the exces material it leaves a carpet look
Most parts were glued with Zap CA glue, and the clear parts in this one were glued ith GS hypo cement. I have no idea what the wheels are called, threw out the box years ago. I do know they are from Aoshima though.
I don't know the name of the wheels, But they are from Aoshima i think they are called Kei parts. Not sure on that though. I fitted them by removing the braked from the model and milling down the center of the inside of the wheels. And i cut a litle lip off of the wheel on the inside edge inorder to fit better in to the wheelwels on the inside.
You just gained a subscriber I was thinking about getting this kit but just wanted to check it out first I will definitely be getting it now great videos keep up the good work
I have a quick simple project from me painting the mirror caps from my 1:1 car comming up and also some tutorials, and in the mean time ill be working on an Aoshima Nissan R35 GT-R with the new C1 Models body kit.
Reinis Gudonis I'm Getting a new Computer tomorrow, So ill be testing with iMovie so the new vid won't take to long ;) Also itl be a long one i think arrround 20 minutes of me painting or maybe even a 2 parter(i really enjoy seeing vids like that i hope you guys to aswell)
Good fellow. Cool performed. I myself am from Russia, although I almost do not understand you, but you are a good model.
