    Also you can save the roland cut swatches into your illustrator swatches so you'll always have them in the library*

    I’ve used your settings I actually used them today to I run the .500/ 180 instead of 250 Mayeb I can do that / I do the .010 and 1 the .010 is the length of the tabs that break away? As well I slows my speed to 15. Uhmmmm ya idk I feel like the same settings on the same material sometimes Varys like won’t cut consistent any input ever happen to u?

      Most definitely variables. I try and ensure the blade length is not too long, that seems to help a lot.

    Your videos help a lot, good job!
    I have a question, on the Roland VG3-540 is it possible to reduce the vinyl advance speed when the machine is reading the cut marks? as the machine is very quick to read and sometimes jams the material.

      Thank you for the props! I'm not 100% sure on advance speed. Try moving your print down the media a little bit and center your rows so each side has equal empty space.

    I have a lot of spot on solid colors and small text has a glitch to them like it moved. Any Idea on what I can google to fix that?

      Sounds like you might need to align your printhead. Give the Roland TH-cam try and search for align printhead.

    Are you using 45 or 60 degree blade / what material are you using / I use the orajet 3164RA 4mm usually and then sometimes 6mm 3258 for labels / die cuts . What do u use for cut out stickers that works well and don’t peel up on edges ? I’ve had good luck w the 3164 u don’t even need the rapid air if u don’t want but rapid air always great for applications

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I'm using the 45 degree blade, seems to work best. I'm also using Roland Calendar Vinyl.

  • @dubaiofw
    @dubaiofw ปีที่แล้ว

    want to know the accuracy of cutting....if the cutting blade cut through the middle of line with offest of o.1 to 0.5....if not put bleeding to compensate the in accuracy of cutting.

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's always best to account for a little bleed.

    Curious what thickness of vinyl you are using for stickers. 3 mil seems too thin and flimsy.

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, the standard gloss vinyl from Roland is pretty flimsy. I'm using the Matt calendar vinyl from Roland and it's a little thicker. Not sure of the exact thickness though. I'd use 3M, Avery, or Oracle for more serious production. Plus lamination thickens things up a bit. We offer GFP laminators if you want to learn more on lamination. shopmelco.com/heat-presses-laminators/laminators-laminate/

    I just downloaded the cut file and I can't open it cause you file is a newer version than my illustrator. how do I open it?

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oooh, that's a tough one, you would have to upgrade your illustrator. What version are you running? Email me and I'll send you a version you can open. jledrew@melco.com

    Hi, all is good but the cut speed is super slow, how to increase perf cut speed?

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. I have noticed perf cutting is slower but there might be a setting on the printer itself that can speed things up. Not really sure unfortunately.

      @@MelcoEmbroidery thanks. I'm not sure if increasing cut speed makes a difference will test more

    Do you laminate your stickers ? If so are you having issues getting the blade to cut through all 3 layers ?

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do not have a laminator. My understanding is different blade angles are needed for thicker material. If you use a 60 try a 45. Also, Roland support might be a good resource for better direction.

    Thats one big bulky machine for that print size.

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure is, only thing I could figure is the need to access the let and right side of the print track for maintenance. Works like a dream though.
