Very cool and informative for sure. I also use LXi and is a great program production wise. I'm also thinking going into printing and cutting decals etc. and this video help me to get a taste as to setting up graphics in Roland software. I've never seen it done and your video brought some light on the subject I'm going into very soon. I'll be checking your videos they are so helpful and inspiring. I hope you can make a video exclusively on preparing graphics in Roland versa cut software and output to printing. I found more interesting that you had someone actually setup LXi synced to the Roland printer-cutter. I need learning that. Thanks keep up the great videos!
Oh yeah this is one of my next things on my business wish list.
You wont regret it.
Congratulations 🍾 Joe on this new investment. Wow that’s a bad a$$ machine. Wow looks like fun to work with.
Lucy send me a email. INFO@HEARTANDHUSTLEPRINTING.COM
Your videos help a lot, good job!
I have a question, on the Roland VG3-540 is it possible to reduce the vinyl advance speed when the machine is reading the cut marks? as the machine is very quick to read and sometimes jams the material.
Great job man
Good video Joe thanks
Thanks Jessie
you don’t laminate? what type of material do you use. is the material thick?
Do perforated settings🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
SAI Flexi is what I use and Corel draw!
Is LXI the same as flexi?
Hey Joe, just got ours and been trying to do the dye cuts and it hasn’t been coming out so well. What settings are you using?
Any luck?
Contour cut = kiss cut
Die cut = perforate cut
Am I correct?
I got an error while printing and cutting on my SG540. The media finished, and it started beepping. I took it off and replaced it, but it did not cut yet. Can I feed it back to cut, or am I unable to do anything?
Not if you didnt put registration marks
I want and need this beautiful machine ! 😍
hey Joe how much you charge per square ft.. i got a 2ftx4ft sticker i need to find a print shop for.
HI Taylor, I sell the 2'x4' cornhole decals for 70.00 plus shipping. So for one 2'x4' will do for 40.00 plus shipping.
Gracias por la ayuda, has sido de gran utilidad
Who makes you red screen press?
Anaton
I think this is messed up.
Contour cut is a cut that follow the shape of the design like if you print star-shaped design you will cut it with that shape not just circle or square.
Perforated cut is a cut that not cut in solid line (me often say it "dotted style") it's mainly used for ticket, voucher etc
Then, we have 2 type of "depth". Kiss cut or die cut.
Kiss cut only cut the vinyl, die cut cut both the vinyl & backing paper.
True but, the program I use say contour cut is to just cut sticker, Perforated cut is to use to cut through both. In this video I did a perforated cut which is a dotted line. But the perforated cut in this instance is to not let the decal or sticker fall to the floor. Anyway, die, perforated same thing.
Good call out I guess..
I thought the video got it wrong at first until I understood the software and machines of this newer generation of technology use different terms. We all need to understand that in order to communicate what we need and can produce.
