Top job ! Hopefully this will stop all the questions we see on the forums & FB. Most of the questions are because folks are not bothered to read the manual.
Quick question when I laser Range find say the fox and it auto corrects the crosshair radical which X do you put on the target as I shot a fox last night after laser range finding it and I aimed at it with the bottom X and reviewing the video it’s actually the main cross in the centre that was on the back of the head is where the bullet went
Hi when you get the x on the ret after ranging a target that s the hold over marker you use to aim with. sounds like you didn't get a acurate solution. posable got a reading from something else.
@ I think maybe my second point of zero would be about 240 with the rifle. The fox was only 248 so by me aiming with the ex in the back of the shoulders the actual main plus of the radical was on the back of its head, so maybe that’s why it went in the back of the head and not between the shoulders.
Thank you for excellent review. Hopefully you will add some tricks, what to do, when ballistic calculation is not spot on, despite all inputs are according to manufacturer data. Which values should I play with, to bring calculations to work properly. Thanks again, from not so normal person, who understands and prefer metric system to imperial one. 😊
Why is it the lrf box is in a different place on every one i see, mine is right at the top of the reticle and leaves the screen with 7x mag, i could see nothing about moving where the lrf box sits
@TheNightVisionShow thanks the box is low but the laser is high like you said takes a bit of playing about, if I could get the lrf box just below centre crosshair would be perfect, hopefully there's a future adjustment as the BC has performed well for me out to 280 metres
Could you tell me where I’d be able to find ballistic coefficiency as am struggling to find any at all on ammunition am using. Am using Winchester subsonic 42gr max in tikka t1x. Any help would be great thanks
Sorry posted when I left unattended. Re-below question regarding moving reticle. On center reticle my Alpex 4K only moves back into middle of screen when zoomed into 7x mag plus? I have center reticle mode turned on.
Morning, even with centre ret on as it's a digital device it may be off on some rifles. could try change the scope hight or zero distance and let the bc do the rest of the work.
ive set my one up. Everything was fine but for some reason the mode for day/night auto has completely disappeared from the settings. So I'm permanetly stuck on day mode. Any ideas how to get the mode back? Many thanks
@@TheNightVisionShow Thanks, Also when you have a second zero profile say A1 for air and A2 for rimfire do you also need to have two different profiles for the ballistic calculator. Last one ! Does the unit use internal battery forst then the external. Mine does seem to register there is a external one fitted
I was thinking of moving up from the Alpex 50T I have to this, but having the focus ring on the front of the scope still is a real pain. Its really stiff and trying to focus in on a target isnt easy. Focus should be on the side like my other optics. Far easier to use this way.
Gday mate. Do you know how to move the box that the laser pings in. Mine is in the upper right and a fair distance from the reticle on 3.5 magnification. I have seen other videos where it is lower left close to reticle centre. Can’t find anything in the manual about it. Also the second reticle you get when using the ballistic calculator won’t piss off after taking a shot. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks mate🇦🇺
Hello! Mine just arrive yesterday, and today was my 1st day shooting. Whatever i saw that mine doesn t show that degrees on bottom and the right anywhere. Do i need to activate it Somewhere? Thank you!
I notice on this video that your firmware build is V5.5.81_240229! On mine it is V5.5.81_240202 but on the sight app it’s saying no updates? So is mine or others an older build? Or are we waiting for your build to be cleared for public use? Thanks 🤩
I'm a bit confused about the zeroing profiles and using the ballistics function with them... From what you've said, you can choose A to E, and for each of these, assign a number 1 to 5 to each, so a total of 25 possible combinations, and each of these has a zero distance input. Fine so far. But say I want to set up my air rifle on profile E, and I use different pellets and or power settings. So I set up say E1 as 15gr low power, E2 as 15gr high power, E3 18 gr low power, E4 18gr high power and so on. If I then want to use the ballistic calculator, I'm limited to 5 total ballistic tables. Meaning that I can't really use the ballistics calculator with reticle profiles A to D (which would be different rifles) if I've used up the 5 tables with my air rifle ballistics on profile E? Is that correct?
Hi you can only have 5 BC tables set up in the scope. so can't have ( E1 as 15gr low power, E2 as 15gr high power, E3 18 gr low power, E4 18gr ) so could only have 1 set up on the bc or use all 5 slots on the bc for 1 ammo.
Hi I tried to zero last night and run out of y going down I have medium sports match rings on when I thought about it had the ballistic calculator turned on would that impact me trying to zero Thanks
Hello just got the hik alpex 4k lrf and I did the firmware updates straight away through the app next to my scope, when I go on app all says up to date, you mention about clicking restore to save the firmware update ? Does restore not restore it back to the factory settings for if you was going to I.e sell it ? Any help much appreciated Thank you in advance Mitch
hello, after every update you need to do a restore for the new firmware to take effect. it won't lose your zero info, but will clear the BC data so its worth taking note of that. and it will return all the settings to factory like OSD and smart ir etc
