@@kaustubh42020 Philanthropy is defined as the act of donating money, resources, or time to improve the lives of others. It's not measured merely by the amount or percentage of wealth given away but by the donations' scale and effect. Philanthropy includes contributions of any size, with the focus on the intention behind and the impact of the giving, rather than the precise amount or wealth percentage. Whether it's significant donations from the wealthy or smaller, regular gifts from those with less, all are valued if they aim to benefit the public good. The emphasis lies on the purpose and outcome of the donations rather than their financial value. However, giving $50 as a person of limited means is still much easier and less impactful than a wealthy individual donating billions.
@kaustubh42020 lol well, only by an arbitrary measure of percentage. That's by no means an accurate statement, nor the only measure of philanthropy. That is a pretty disingenuous measure. It's an argument of semantics, essentially. The video fails to distinguish what Shares are and what cash is. Elon Musk does not have 200bn in cash in a bank. He has shares in Tesla, which mean that he gets a check every month from Tesla - a the amount depends on the Share price. He has also taken many risks which paid off. Electric cars were not a sound venture when he embarked upon mass production of these. But it worked and he is reaping the rewards. People are buying his products and investing in his companies. There is great confidence in him, hence the investments. It's not just Elon making these companies successful, it is a wide group of individuals and innovators. The video fails to articulate the good that Elon Musk has achieved. It is no mean feat - the speaker in the video has a disdain and possibly jealousy for Musk. She is quite sarcastic when describing is acquisition of Twitter - for the record, Twitter was losing a lot of money which is why they were ripe for acquisition. I also note the tone - she is a liberal as she describes Musk as a right-wing darling. Note: he isn't right wing. Not the standard I would have expected from Business Insider.
The single biggest problem I have with Elon turning red (Republican, not communist) is that he has hundreds of millions of dollars in federal defense contracts. His cozy relationship with Donny Haircut is alarming, considering how much influence he will now have to affect those contracts.

By actual measure, thats saying 50% of $100 is more effective than 1.8 billion dollars, which by every measure of reality would just make you sound ridiculously stupid.
Is that still your argument?
Btw, I dont like Musk, im just being realistic.
Cringe video guys quite bad
At 2:35, you say SpaceX had multiple failures in 2008. Correct, it had 3 Falcon1 failures. The image of the rocket you have pointed down is Starship stacked on top of Super Heavy Booster, which launched in 2023 and 2024.
You left out Elons 11 kid's, how much money does he spend on them?!
Hello ❤❤❤
Interesting choice having a lady who hates Elon review his financials. LOL
clearly a biased video trying to take Elon Musk down. I really like business insider's videos, but this one made me re-think my subscription
not to be that guy but they have almost 10M subs lol they’re not upset about you thinking about unsubscribing
That editor has a lot of resentment in her voice.
poor black women usually do
The video fails to distinguish what Shares are and what cash is.
This video isnt going to get a lot of positive comments.
Right after the first underhanded stupid comment i switched this off.
He is not a right wing darling. He thinks independently of everyone.
thinks independently, you means censors speech and says some very out and about right wing takes on twitter all the time
So sad to see mainstream media treat such an important man like this :(
The presenter sounds mad, adding random unnecessary snarky remarks

She is just a nut job who got the job as a diversity hire. Considering it’s business insider which is a glorified presstitute for hire it is not very surprising.
Diversity hire problem
Business Insider, This is fantastic! I subscribed right away!
Elon isn't Republican, just lost credibility
What a horrible report.
Despite all the financial struggles i and my family faced, everything is finally falling into place! $47,000 weekly profit and riches I'll always praise the Lord.
Wow! Kind of in shock you mentioned expert, elizabeth ann graney. What a coincidence!!!
Life is easier when the cash keeps popping in,thanks to Elizabeth Ann graney services.Glad she's getting the recognition she deserves
Elizabeth Ann has really set the standard for others to follow, we love her here in the UK as she has been really helpful and changed lots of life's..
I use to work 3 jobs, full time at Walmart,a server at night and Lyft on the weekend, until Elizabeth Ann graney change my story.
The very first time we tried, we invested $1000 and after a week, we received $4500.That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
I wish interviewers would stop asking him about his political views and instead about how he built an advanced manufacturing company domestically in an era of offshore manufacturing
True
so true
He's produced billions which get taxed and go to social programs. Be a little grateful.
The companies he has been a part of have also produced great value to society. Thats why hes so rich
Its his money .

I finally decided to unsub from this channel, because of those random very bad quality videos you guys allow from time to time. I'm not a Musk fan at all, quite the opposite, but this video still makes me cringe so much ! it's unbelievable.
December 2024, Elon just crossed the 400 billion dollar mark.
He's the best entrepreneur of all times. That's why ppl continue to buy tesla. It's your average ev version of a honda.
What was the point of this video?
Didn’t mention his family and ties.
Still there are plenty of rich kids who didn't turn out to be musks
Crappiest video in the history of the universe!!!!
@@nimeshjeyarajasingam7791oh they better not turn into musks. We need rich people who invest their money wisely into this world so there would be less poverty and less corruption
Oh yeah? The lie about an emerald mine? Or the part where he has to finance his father whom he hates? The part where he had a student debt when he started Zip2 because he DIDN'T get help from his family?
Just read the biography by Walter Isaacson. Within the first 50 Pages you will learn that learn that Elon Musk didn't get financed by his dad. And Walter took his time for research and interviewing the father himself.
The comments are more polarizing than the Earth's poles lol.
how he makes it: exploitation. how he spends it: foolishly.
Spacex, Tesla, neuralink, ..... Foolish ?? Are you sane??
@@DonCorleone77777ask his employees. They all tell us Elon sucks and doesn’t know what he is doing. All the work goes to his employees, not Elon. Elon is just a business man, with lack of knowledge but pretend he knows everything.
You should applaud his employees for doing great with Tesla and space x etc. Neuralink is btw not a company to be proud of, there is nothing great about putting a chip in your brain
Tesla has made more millionaires out of its employees that anyone else by far so not much exploitation there. Spending it foolishly by investing it into bigger, better ventures for humanity isn't foolish in my books.
