>Has vision problems >Uses close-range weapons The lore writes itself. I love how the player's irl background feeds into the build that they use. An AC is truly an extension of the pilot's body.
Ayre (or whatever operator): The pilot of that AC is Andromida, rumoured to have some vision impairment problems. He mitigates this by piloting an extremely aggressive close-range AC. Watch out for his shotgun combos.
The fact that this guy's a musician AND a pilot is so sick, dude. And I love how most of his build and playstyle are tuned to the fact that he can't see well and plays in a way where clear vision isn't important.
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that the quad shotgun player also plays doom and makes (really good) heavy metal music. Aggression is not a playstyle, it's a lifestyle 😅.
Watching this series has made me more confident in sticking to builds that make me happy and just practicing to get better, rather than relying on meta builds to feel like I can compete at the top. My favorite build OAT so far has been a heavyweight biped with double Zimm, SOUP missiles, and either HMMR or Pulse Blade w/Kikaku boosters.
Id imagine being a musician has carry over with being able to keep rythm for combos. Dude is probably a beast in any game with button execution judging by the tracks he puts out.
One additional info that i would really like to know about these top players is wether they play pad/Mouse&Keyboard and with or without hardlock. Might just be me though. Another great and very informational video anyway, well done !
Most top players use Mouse and Keyboard :) this is due to the increased potency of manual aim. Exceptions include RamenRook. If you do not use much manual aim, mouse and keyboard does not seem to offer any more of an advantage. Andromida uses hardlock exclusively since he has vision issues and uses a close range build. Plus, it is necessary for circle boosting.
Facing this dude was always great fun in ranked , he played a lot for the first 3 weeks and he was climbing the ranks quick. Definitely scariest quad shotgun user.
Finally got to catch this episode! Love what you're doing for this community Mobi, keep up the good work! Love playing against this style, and it's cool to see Androm's thought process.
Haldesman lover here, I stick to 2 haldesman+dagger until achieved S rank. Quad shotgun is something I tried with sweet16 and haldesman. Seens like Zimm+Hladesman would be a better option. Thanks for the video.
This game is amazing. I don’t care how op Zimms are because the combos and combo extension aspect with stagger makes me feel opponents earn it against my melee build. I’m really glad we got another Armored Core, the game only gets better from here. More weapons, more parts, more extensions, more who knows what. Keep it coming FS!
A visual to show what inputs are happening during the movement tech would be amazing. Great video otherwise, happy to see someone else with a visual impairment perform in a competitive game
On xbox, we have a version of the second build that a lot of us top players agree works better. Dark Salvation told me not to tell anybody, but if you use the 150 generator with the VP 60LCS and tap fire (don't charge), you end up dealing an insane amount of dps along with the front rockets. Its a secret though Mobi so don't let this pm get out. 😏
Hey Hey Mobi, have you considered featuring any double melee players? I climbed to top 500 recently with my midweight pulseblade/slicer build and made a video on the complexity of this slept on fight style! Check it out if your curiosity is peaked
I used to strafe > move camera the opposite way > quick turn in soft lock with super high sens but with hard lock enabled to snap kicks onto people and quickly alter my directional inputs in reaction to my opponent, hard lock spamming one direction is the lazy way of doing it that is far less flexible lol
@@shiftarmoredcore Lazy or not, the optimal way to play an assault boost-based cqc build is with hardlock on, continuously breaking it when needed mind you but while circleboosting or shiftboosting with softlock on might be more flexible, it also means your damage output will be far more inconsistent/slower.
@@BoilingCorpses it allows you to shoot at oblique angles by using your arms ability to point in directions that arent forwards from you relative to your movement, and also stops your AB breaking on any passes against a fast QB build but idk, i played like 1 week before realising the game was a terrible mess and that i didnt like it and went back to ACFA. its been 7 months now lol
@@shiftarmoredcore It does allow for better maneuvers and odd shooting angles, but unfortunately this isn't necessarily something that's needed outside of very specific matchups, I wish it were something more rewarding to do because it obviously is harder to pull off correctly. AB breaking like that can be avoided with the right movement inputs, even while actively hardlocked. And that's fair man, so many people stayed for very long despite not liking it either, so respect for that.
Cancer build for skill issued players. There is nothing fun and tactical in assault boosting towards someone while swapping. It's an even shittier permutation of the plasma swappers. Another fine addition to the pits of boring, pitiful builds. more on this: The supposedly vision impaired pilot that can play armored core 2 (with that Absurd color palette) and doom eternal with his outwordly fast gameplay and blending colors? An ingame description might suggest that he is famous for implying his partial vision problems, while in reality he uses a minmaxed build that outlasts / outbursts his opponent with the shotgun swap. The wording in the video was interesting: " Consistently wins fights" Consistency in pvp, in a game from the FS guys is a ridiculous concept, there are so many issues with netcode, internet connection, lags, hitboxes. we're talking the dark souls development team. back hitting zweihanders anyone? Want a proof? check the gameplay and try and mimick all the fights with your inputs: it's pretty easy to notice that he's basically spamming the ab dodge and the swap. and he fights a light in the same exact way he fights a tank, a zimmy shield, a vertical kite, a double melee, and he finds 50 different paraphrases to say "i assault boost, kick, and shotgun swap. sometimes i dodge" there is nothing else to the build. but this was diluted in an overstretched apology of why this is skill and not a min max build. Waste of an opportunity to have a funny pvp game, and we're back to meta cringe.

That fit too freaking well. About the only thing he's missing is a chainsaw for that full rip and tear experience.
@cosmozone271 Andromida **picks chainsaw as stagger punish**
@@Nine_Baller as a proud chainsaw main, I hope to get on this series at some point.
Armored legends is like the best series ever

It always hilarious to see, that after every armored legend vids, rating start to bee poluted with legends builds
Looking forward to the next armored legends! I love watching these videos and can’t wait for more.

Just picked up this game. Amazing to see andromida is a top tier player! 😵💫 I listen to abandon at least once a day lol
He's always an exciting fight against my strider. I have the most fun against a build like his that tries to be as aggressive as possible.
The crossover we didnt know we needed! Huge fan of Andromida's music, great to see he's an AC fan

nahh i gotta wait a whole 2 minutes longer than advertised
I would love to see an episode about the Japanese LAMM build he was talking about playing against at 12:55
Andromeda? Damn I dunno he is a gamer and an AC pilot, love his music tho

remember kids, u can aways beat a build with its heavier variant. (maybe not kite build)
playing duo zimmer and ran in to heavy duo zimmer away make me wanna alt f4.
I wonder if i could beat him with my build. GG on the win
Farquad is that you?
See guys, Fromsoft games are accessible.

I need a Playlist dude, TH-cam don't like me
