    I’ve got the MK-01 and it’s made a great difference in my small old house. I feared mold issues so got that green 4 layer filter.
    Recently was sick, used eucalyptus and peppermint in the diffuser part. Feels nice to breathe easily again.

    The MK06 doesn't have a timer on it. It would be beneficial if it did though. Have had mine less than a week and I'm considering purchasing it, or the MK01, for other rooms. One thing that is aggravating is the blue light on it. Even if you turn it off, the little lights for fan speed and power will blind you in the dark of the night if you look at them a certain way. They're almost like a high beam straight to your eyes if you look at it a certain way. Overall, it works fairly well for being small.

    • @Holy_Hobo
      @Holy_Hobo ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@gd4u422 then they will not do a good job at all of purifying. High end brands have a washable pre-filter, really all it can do is protect the main filter from dust, and any "washable purifier" will do the same. If all you need is to remove large particles and dust, you may as well strap a piece of cloth to a fan.

    would love a video on the FilterQueen Defender. It’s a good machine, but not worth what they charge. Their cartridges do technically meet ULPA standards, but they are really expensive. They also have a activated carbon wrap but it’s pretty garden variety. I would love a deep dive and test on this machine, as getting them second hand is really a good deal.

    • @ethimself5064

      Yea good idea. I have a fair sized Bonaire HEPA. It takes 3 HEPA filters and?? One can only buy them in 2 packs or singles. The best price for the 2 packs locally is $68 and the singles are $40 CAN. Few years ago I started buying the highest filtering rating I could find of which is near HEPA ratings. ie Filtrete at 2200. I smoke and the filter will last a year. I also found a heavier pre filter for an oddball air filter and cut it to fit - works wonders as i wash it 2 - 3 times/year. Should mention that I need a 20 x 25 filter and need to cut it to fit - yep a pain but finished cutting in 2 minutes. Filter cost about $40 CAN/Taxes in. Thanks for reminding me as I might build me a box filter.👍

      @@ethimself5064 IKEA had some air filters disguised as tables or lamps, made me wonder if I could do the same with a large quiet box fan and some fabric. Maybe draw air from bottom and out the sides with surface on top for table.
