This makes one wonder about the how the world would be if competence in gunfights was still central to air to air combat. Skill in that would not be waste.
The fight was really good but (assuming they were AI) it shows that ED should work a bit on their strategy, having it be closer to what Falcon has would be awesome.
When he launches chaff and flares right in front of you, is it possible for the countermeasures to be sucked in the air intake of your engines? I 've heard that irl it is a real threat.
Hornet is much more my style of fighting then the F-16. The only thing I like about the F-16 is the fantastic undisturbed visibility (except backward, but only F-22 has a totally no frame canopy).
@LongShotChannel please do some multi-player dogfighting with as many hostile as possible. Also try to get a wing man so we can learn how to fight with an ally
Multitasking... Real pilots, especially those who fly VFR, have to fly the airplane, maintain speed, navigation, altitude and at the same time having contact with the ATC. But its possible

If the government was smart, they would've made the Air Force adopt the F-18, and weaned out the F-16. The 16 is one cool fighter, but its nothing you want in a fighter in todays world. The 18 can carry more fuel, more missiles, bigger radar, and its a great one circle fighter. The Air Force were fools for choosing the F-16, especially with the Am-ram and Aim missiles
You're incorrect, they made a very wise decision. I don't want to argue or get into it but who won the F-16 first came out it was a fraction of the cost of the f-18 and they could have replaced them anytime in the last 30 years but instead decided to buy more f-16s. Also the amram didn't exist in 1978 there's about two dozen other countries that looked at the 16 and 18 and all of them with the exception of Canada chose the 16 it is an excellent aircraft and so is the 18 but for different reasons, the new version of the F-16 that will be coming out in a year or two will be addressing all of the shortcomings the current model has including the range issue.
@@michaelfriscia8166 I beg to argue. Even with an upgraded radar, the F-18 is still the better platform. It's better at everything, including air to ground. If it had a better power to weight, it would be the best fighter in the world. I will say that with the F-15, they really don't need it

That cobra was epic, but not a great ACM option. That's when a "high speed" super manuveuring set should be on the table.
