This is a great video series lance.. you are all about repairing whats there and using whats acceptable and will work...instead of throwing new parts at everything..thats the difference between a mechanic and a fitter..
Lance, I've had a new business idea... I've just planted a Eucalyptus tree in the garden, i'm going to be the UK supplier of gum tree wood for Servicing the Hi Lo oil supply shafts. Part No. TNW001 Cheers Paul,,
I lost my hi shift a couple years back I wonder if that tube is buggered up. It must be pretty good leak because it looses all hydraulics in hi but they work good in low. I put a new pto brake and all new rings on the powershift last time I was in there. It’s always like opening a Christmas present you never know what your going to find. Thanks for the videos👍
Bundy Bears Shed It had 100 psi in lo and nothing in high. I work on tractors in Canada and if I get my shop emptied out a bit I will split it again Thanks for the videos. I like the 40 and 50 series hi lo a bit better but there all good 👍
Mickeyfox from Ireland here I have a thirty forty John Deere brakes went fitted new brakes fitted new oil and filters checked the front pump checked the priority valve and still have no hydrolics.
Greetings, I wish you continued success by liking your video and following it.

Mickey here tks I did check the filter by pass valve where do I check pressure on transmission pump?
On the rh side of the gear shift cover on the front plug.
Good explanation!
Glad you think so! Thankyou.

Check the filter bypass valve, i did a video on it in the JD1640 playlist.
Am not getting the oil pressure from the transmission pump to the steering box
It goes from the trans pump to the front pump then the steering. Check the filter bypass valve first.
I don't think I have this hi/lo function. Is this different than the high and low range in the transmission?
Yes some had it and some didnt depending on what was ordered at the time.
