My great great grandfather served for Soviet army in ww2 also my great grandmothers brother but unfortunately my great grandmothers brother died very soon after he came home ( he died from shell shock at war and when he came back he died of stress) but my , great great grandfather was at this parade ( he survived )

Massive respect to their victory against nazi Germany. Who knows what the world would be like nowadays if the Soviet Union didn’t help us fight the Nazis? I have so much respect and I feel like they deserved this moment of respect after so much time and effort in Stalingrad, and especially Berlin.

@@Artyom_SPOSN that’s technically not true, the Russians held up very well with their military strength and power, but the US did send their own forces into Berlin as well as Soviet infantry on the other side. There’s a really good picture of US and Soviet infantry shaking hands by a broken bridge.
