Lani is, by far, my favorite Filipino diva. Personally, I think she has the best skills and technique among her contemporaries. Love her.

The shakyness of the footage explains being bump around by mall goers while standing taking videos 😊 It's a free show inside a mall here in Ph and I was like 50meters away which explains the poor audio quality too. 😊 I did my best though. Aside that she is Asia's nightingale...She is also known as "New Siren of the Strip." in Las Vegas. Also, the first Asian to headline in a main showroom in Vegas. She's not called a diva for nothing. I recommend to listen to her english revival songs very tastefully done😊

Hi MGN...Lani is one of the queens of the Philippine music industry..along with Pilita Corales (Asia's Queen of Songs, Regine (Asia's Songbird), Jaya (Queen of Soul), Morisette (Asia's Phoenix)..she first performed this song in September 2001 in her concert in the Philippines. Lani was also named as the New Siren of the Strips during her stint in Las Vegas in the early 2000. December 4 was even proclaimed as Lani Misalucha day of Las Vegas by the good mayor Oscar Goodman... you may take a look at the video recorded at Vegas posted by Lian Cox (Aria-Queen of the night by Lani Misalucha), it was not a live performance, but the sound is clearer than this one.

She is basically an operatic/pop singer and she is already based in Las Vegas. She just visits the Philippines from time to time.
Lani has 8 octave range and a coloratura soprano background in singing.Her career started out as minus one tape background voice before joining international singing contest until she was discovered during that time.
I remember she sang the same song during her concert before, not sure when and where, but it was complete with a very extravagant costume.

After she won the student pop singing competition in the '80's during her college days, talent manager, ronnie henares handled her professional singing career. That is after regine velasquez left the management of ronnie. After she had established her name in the Phillipine music industry with a monicker "The Asia's Nightingale", Lani moved to the US and spent around 3 or 5 yrs performing in various hotels in las vegas, nevada until she came back to restore her aborted singing career in the country.
Wow and the choir behind her are the Philippine Madrigal Singers (MADZ), the only Choir that won the most prestigeous European Choral Grand Prix Competion twice . . . .

But, as of this day, she still remains a shadow of regine. But they are friends.

She was a multiplex queen (her voice was used for minus ones or multiplexes in karaokes) for some time before she broke into the music industry sometime in the 2000. Her early training came from her father who was a pianist and from her mom who was a trained soprano. In an interview she said that her father exposed her to kundimans (classical Filipino songs) early in her life. That is why she can sing like that. She has one sister who used to sing in a band, and another sister who could play the violin.

Not the whistle. But Lani has more power and better head voice than Mori. Lani is classically trained, so she'll always have that advantage. Mori is more flexible, but she a long way to go still.

I am going to request this one more time..please...since you enjoy great singing and good audio quality so much..i am sure you are going to love lani, regine, and jaya's greatest love of all..the harmony was sometimes off in my opinion since it was not really a well rehearsed number..but their solo parts are reminiscent of talents such as whitney, barbra, aretha, anita baker, etc..they were on that level, if you ask me..
