Thanks you for your reply Mariah. I posted yesterday 12 September 2021 as I said I would. Today I am sitting in Monday 13 September 2021. It was a very up and down the previous week (riding down to town - industrial area) as I needed to get some things done to get my electronics workbench sorted out. I have hundreds (probably thousands) of electronic components that do not have place to "live" yet. They are in plastic boxes on my new workbench - and I am making a transition over from the small workbench where I usually work to the much longer one. There I can mount my test equipment, put all my components in those pull out drawers etc. And believe me just to sort out the previous lot of components took me three whole days. I am keen to watch updates of Stockholm. The history of Sweden was always interesting to me even as a child of 10 years as my Great Grandfather was a ship's captain that emigrated from Sweden to South Africa. He came from the town Harnosand. Because the Swedish genes run so strong in our family (If I look at some responses of swedish men now I understand better where those genes come from). I would like to learn more about Swedish History - well on you tube. Seeing how people live and work in a situation gives me a better perspective of the country and the people. Just as - of course - seeing how South Africans live will give you a better perspective of my country. Not like the some of the junk television stations portray as the truth. Will keep you updated. Paige when you first posted this video about visiting Sweden I was very concerned. Sweden is all in on Herd immunity letting everyone get exposed and infected with the CORONA virus. Me being a Florida resident that has seen a huge death rate here in this state, we see firsthand how our governor is going for Herd immunity. Sweden has been one of the worst hit Scandinavian countries in Europe in the fight against the virus for obvious reasons. I think their peak was bad but their infection numbers went down. But the winter months create a whole new dynamic. Hopefully your stay there was fun and safe. I totally enjoyed your video. Sweden looks amazing.
Heard immunity was never the goal here but trying to flatten the curve by giving a lot of recommendations for the daily life: work from home, avoid new contacts, avoid gatherings etc. etc. Whatever restrictions you put on the society, it has to be able to maintain it for a long period of time. Fighting Covid is not a race, it’s a marathon.

Allow healthy people to get infected and let the general population to continue that spread while protecting the most vulnerable. That is Herd Immunity! Mask are not mandatory in Sweden. The name of the approach in dealing with the virus can be called anything. You can call Herd Immunity.....Sly and the Family Stone but the method in dealing with the virus is not to completely eliminate the spread.

About typical swedish meals ... the swedish meatbolls are actually turkish meatbolls but we used a different seasoning since we only had pepper but thre is a dish that is typical for sweden and that is SURSTÖMING the smelliest fish in the world

Aww, Paige it was good to see Therese again and was glad you were able to go visit in her home country. The city is beautiful and would love to visit one day. When I lived in Ga, I had the opportunity to go on a similar boat ride but got cancelled because of threatening weather. Did you enjoy ride? Did the announcer say it was 1 hour trip in the water? Thanks you for your reply Mariah. I posted yesterday 12 September 2021 as I said I would. Today I am sitting in Monday 13 September 2021. It was a very up and down the previous week (riding down to town - industrial area) as I needed to get some things done to get my electronics workbench sorted out.
I have hundreds (probably thousands) of electronic components that do not have place to "live" yet. They are in plastic boxes on my new workbench - and I am making a transition over from the small workbench where I usually work to the much longer one. There I can mount my test equipment, put all my components in those pull out drawers etc. And believe me just to sort out the previous lot of components took me three whole days.
I am keen to watch updates of Stockholm. The history of Sweden was always interesting to me even as a child of 10 years as my Great Grandfather was a ship's captain that emigrated from Sweden to South Africa. He came from the town Harnosand. Because the Swedish genes run so strong in our family (If I look at some responses of swedish men now I understand better where those genes come from).
I would like to learn more about Swedish History - well on you tube. Seeing how people live and work in a situation gives me a better perspective of the country and the people. Just as - of course - seeing how South Africans live will give you a better perspective of my country. Not like the some of the junk television stations portray as the truth.

Paige when you first posted this video about visiting Sweden I was very concerned. Sweden is all in on Herd immunity letting everyone get exposed and infected with the CORONA virus. Me being a Florida resident that has seen a huge death rate here in this state, we see firsthand how our governor is going for Herd immunity. Sweden has been one of the worst hit Scandinavian countries in Europe in the fight against the virus for obvious reasons. I think their peak was bad but their infection numbers went down. But the winter months create a whole new dynamic. Hopefully your stay there was fun and safe.

Heard immunity was never the goal here but trying to flatten the curve by giving a lot of recommendations for the daily life: work from home, avoid new contacts, avoid gatherings etc. etc. Whatever restrictions you put on the society, it has to be able to maintain it for a long period of time. Fighting Covid is not a race, it’s a marathon.
@@vicsillnorth7970 No offense but several Swedish government officials has specifically called the goal in tackling the coronavirus outbreak a effort of Herd Immunity. Allow healthy people to get infected and let the general population to continue that spread while protecting the most vulnerable. That is Herd Immunity! Mask are not mandatory in Sweden. The name of the approach in dealing with the virus can be called anything. You can call Herd Immunity.....Sly and the Family Stone but the method in dealing with the virus is not to completely eliminate the spread.
@@RoughRider757 That is not true - the exact opposite is the truth. They have over and over again said that the goal is NOT herd immunity (as noone knows if there is any immunity, and if there is; how long it would last). No need to spread fake news!

I knew H&M was a Swedish company but I had no clue that Pippy Longstockings was a Swede. Love learning fun facts like this!
