I would love one day to see gridmaps have auto-tiling functionality similar to tilemaps. I hacked together a tool that kind of works but out of the box support would be amazing.
Yeah I think an auto tiling functionality would be awesome, and honestly I don't think we're that far away from it considering the 3D parts of the engine are starting to get more attention
Vertical selection can be done by pressing 1 or 3 (the default "layer up" and "layer down" buttons, used to be "q" and "e"), while still dragging the selection. Which is quite unintuitive. It also moves the mouse cursor up/down a layer at the same time. I have a PR open that changes the behaviour to allow pressing 1/3 to change the height of the selection rather than the height of the cursor while a selection is active, after you have finished dragging it out. We'll see if that gets approved.
You yourself wear glasses. Don't ruin your nerves and eyesight and those of others. Make the font 25-40% bigger and the theme a little more contrasting. TH-cam is already blurry. You make useful videos. Thank you. Good luck.

It's an improvement but still seems a little half baked. The way you set up the mesh library is kinda lame I guess?
Underwhelming. No auto tile and no vertical selection?

There is no device for this program.
