Oh what I would haven given to have met this brilliant man with a big heart. I’m just seeing this in the time of Covid, May 2020.
Thank you for posting! This is truly inspirational. I am a painter whose works had been in galleries, and I am so impressed with this man labeled “handicapped” and what he has done. I’m completely baffled why ANYONE would be so heartless to give this a thumbs down.

As a painter myself I'm beyond impressed with his skill... but we shouldn't neglect to make mention of his impressive chess talent as well. Notice at 2:45 our man plays ...Bd4+ which forces the white king to f3. The video resumes a few moves later and reveals that he saw and made use of a beautiful tactic called a discovered attack. The next move was Re3+ which leaves white with another forced move, back to f2. Now, although the knight on c3 is protected by the pawn on b2, black is able to make use of his bishop on d4 in a special way by moving the rook over to c3--capturing the knight--and at the same time exposing white's king to the scope of the bishop. White is unable to recapture the rook in this move as he has to move his king and black is now certainly winning. 0-1 Good game.

ASCII art on a masterpiece level... just, wow.
And you couldn't even do this on a computer... I never even thought about how old typewriters' alignment issues could be taken advantage of like this...
    But yeah, I guess you really would only need characters like # = + - ( ) . , / \ to perfectly simulate pointillism, pen strokes, and cross-hatching...
Which also means that he can'tve made rough versions, he would've had to have done it all manipulating his one sole copy available to him. Impressive to be able to do that when copying by eyesight... even a traditional artist would struggle with that.

This was about a man and his amazing talent. Yes his faith was mentioned because this man believes and thanks GOD for his talent. You might not believe and that is your choice but why do you have to bring all that hate into something that was about something beautiful. Just because you do or do not believe in God does not mean that you don't appreciate talent and the art created from that person's talent but by attacking their faith, when it was all about talent to begin with is nothing but hate. This world will NEVER get better if we don't all stop attacking each other over EVERYTHING! Just because he thanks God for his talent does not mean you can't just simply enjoy the fruits of his labor no matter what you do or do not believe!!

OMG!!!!! If only more people thought this way.
I believe in God so when someone thanks God or any kind of video online thanks God for something it makes me happy because well some are scared to share who they believe because of how mean others are. In school people made fun of me for going to church and I never understood that.

Just more proof of what the power of God can do. It transforms lives. It gives people a reason to live, a love for beauty, and a creative passion. He says his talent is a gift from God. Do I believe it? Yes I do.

+jim jimmy I think they don't mean "god", but the "believe in god". Maybe there's no "god" who gave him this power, but it doesn't matter, because he believed in god. This belief gave him this "power".
