Made tonight but substituted mince for green lentils
For a midweek meat free dinner and it was delicious enjoyed by all. I added some fresh tomatoes which were in the fridge. Another excellent dish I’ve cooked from Nic now. I’d lost my confidence and stuck in rut before i discovered this channel- my family are very pleased too!

Thank you so much for this. Was looking for a good chilli recipe. I’m trying that out now. I’m adding to this now as I’ve made the chilli. This was absolutely delicious. I added a red pepper & a 1/2 a grated courgette (zucchini) as these were just hanging around in my fridge. Made a load of rice & put them in the freezer for a quick dinner when I get in from work.

Ok, if you don't like waisting energy the only way to go is induction hobs. They use 90% of the energy thrown at them. Electric and gas tend to be 40-50% efficient. Amazon have a good range for the £40-60 single hobs, to £100-200 for the double hobs.
That looks delicious! Never thought putting it over rice...always had it with a loaf of crusty bread and butter..good meal for these chilly nights fall weather. 🍁
Most people have it with rice but, it's nice with crusty bread though
I’m a Brit living in Texas ATM and they eat chilli with corn bread! Not my thing, I too, prefer it with rice.
