I dont know how this channel doesn't have more subscribers. You make it so easy to understand. I have been watching laser vids for years but just finally bought a 100 w co2. I have figured out some of lightburn but figured i would just go back and start from scratch instead of just figuring it out slowly.

Ive always had a bad learning curve and have had a great time in life gettingvit all half right . . I got nowhere with sll 8f them . You just clearly taught me this stuff to get me started . Half way though i already had text and photos in the work area and editing thank you so much . Now if I could just get the program to talk to my laser

Thanks for the tip about the notes, that one I didn't know.
A counter opinion about making adjustments at the controller.
I try not to make any adjustments at the controller unless I have to because the membrane switches on the controller have a very finite lifespan. Once one of the membranes breaks, that button will stop working and they cannot be repaired only replaced. Since these membrane switches mount directly to the main PC board in the controller, if any moisture gets through a cracked membrane your controller is not long for the world. Your computer mouse is much easier and cheaper to replace.

Very nicely done, learned a couple things. Didn't know what the T colors represented when they were added, and the big one for me was being able to drag the screen around. Been using the scroll wheel to zoom in and out, especially using the editing tool, but the lack of pan bars drove me nuts. One thing about changing the settings of the colors, something I found that can be done if you wish to keep default on start up, but want to change a few for a specific job. Open TWO lightburn sessions, work in one where you make all your changes, and when done, close it first. When you close the second LB window, all the default settings will be saved. This way if you have them all laid out for average jobs, and you need to modify one for just one particular job, you can without disrupting the normal levels and names. What I like about Lightburn is that you can run multiple windows at once, though only the first controls the laser, it allows you to import an SVG or DFX with multiple parts, and you can cut out individual parts, work on them in another window, and save them as single parts. I do a lot of RC airplane parts and this is very helpful for me. If I want to test cut the parts, I import into the second LB window and cut them from there so I can cut from the primary window. I just with is had a dimensioning tool for those angled slots, so the proper degree can be made.
