No, I don't show it in any video. It's one of those things I doubt I'll ever show.

Secret Sauce. Aside from technique, youd need a bunch of equipment to do it, so it's probably not cost effective if you are only doing one. Maybe yours is fine as is.
I will probably start selling accumulator bodies through the website at some point, but I'm not there yet. But if you are local to Southeastern PA, I'd be happy to swap you one that has been worked.

I thought the myth was busted on the ford oem fornt pump seal being bad even switching to mercon v. My original factory 2003 pump seal (in my 4r100, 2003 ford f250 5.4 4x4) is still in to this day ( fluid changed with refilled mercon v in 2017) and still hasnt leaked yet !!! Did they change the seal at sometime after 2002 ?

I'm not sure how this could be busted. My "opinion" of what is actually happening, is that because silicone hardens under heat, it is plastically deforming due to the pressure behind it. That is why once you experience a leak, it starts happening more and more.
Every OE unit I've torn down has had a silicone seal (through 2003), so I'd say Ford probably never changed it for 4r100, meaning you oughtta have it as well. Perhaps viscosity of the oil plays into it, but like I said, it's more the heating of the silicone, and then pressure behind it deforming it.
It sounds like whatever level of work duty you are putting on your truck is fine for the silicone seal, and is perhaps close to what Ford designed for. Enjoy!

@@blackshepherdauto Hey man thanks for replying, Im just trying to get to the bottom of it, thats all. True, I have never towed anything but I have 4 wheeled it pretty hard. I also heard to put lok tite bushing sealer around metal lip before putting it in ? anyways thanks, you wouldnt give me a tid bit on who makes the "viton" seals then ?

There probably is no "bottom" to it, just a lot of different theories. I'm not familiar with loktite bushing sealer, but perhaps it is just another sleeve retainer. In that case, that would be fine to put around the metal ring. You should be able to find those seals anywhere Amazon, Rock Auto, Napa. Enjoy!
