UVW is 7,260, hitch is 1,380 and GVWR 9,000. Maximum weight my F150 quad cab with max trailer package is 1,540. All I have to do is sit in my truck and I have exceeded my truck's load capacity. Very few half ton trucks can tow this trailer. Add your family and stuff in your RV, need a three quarter ton rig.
I like that tri-fold sofa bed, bin storage under the dinette benches and the head board shelf above the master bed. Sometimes it's the little things that one takes notice of. We own a 2004 Forest River 2882SS Ultra Lite fifth wheel that we pull occasionally with a 2009 F150 4x4. It has the 5.4 V8 and factory tow package. I can't tell you the exact weight of our camper but like I said, we don't haul it far or very often. We now have a permanent site at a campground about 45 mins from home. I can honestly say the only time I felt extra aware while pulling it was on that 23 mile drive with all of the holding tanks loaded...fresh water, gray, and black tanks were full. It is half highway driving at 62 to 65 mph, and half 'hilly' country 2 lane roads. It still towed well, but I could feel the extra weight behind us. I did (as always) adjust my speed and driving accordingly with extra stopping distance, less speed, etc.
We love the little details too! KZ RV does a great job of trying t find ways to up their design and utilizing the space better. Are you looking to possibly move-up in the future? Glad you are enjoying your RV this season!

It also has the floor to ceiling windows in the super slide by the white free standing table and chairs. It always feels bright and airy inside. Sorry to say, we aren't fans of the newer trend of dark colors on the inside. Maybe in the master bedroom, but not in the kitchen and entertainment areas. We didn't pay much for it as the exterior was showing its age, but we still draw compliments on how the interior looks and feels like a home. I put a 2018 12 volt push button awning on it last fall. No more struggling with the old style for my wife when I'm not there.
First thing you should always mention when presenting a coach is the length and the weight. That way we don't have to sit through the whole video if its heavier or longer than what we are looking for. Very rarely do RV dealer's on You Tube mention those two MOST IMPORTANT details first, many times they never mention them at all during the whole presentation. Why?

Craig Sneed well there are trailer brakes. But I also wouldn’t either as the payload on 1/2 ton trucks would be maxed quickly as most don’t ever take into account fuel, gear, personal, or even the 5th wheel hitch itself. 3/4 minimum depending on weights for me, mainly pin weight.
Several things I need …. Large fridge … Washer n dryer hook up …. all the other stuff is useless without these …. Might as well use ice cooler & a cloths line ….
Folks, don't believe the dangerous hype about 5th wheels that are half ton towable. The RV dealers just want to sell. If you crash well that's not their problem. You should not get too close to your trucks max tow rating. It WILL be unstable. And good luck trying to pull it up a grade of any significant height. And better luck coming down the other side!

Safer than a bumper pull travel trailer of the same weight, which many people do pull with half-ton trucks. Half-ton trucks are built much better now than they used to be, with many configurations featuring tow ratings in the 10k-13k range. I agree with you, though, that if you're going to do much towing, or tow in mountains, maxing out your truck is going to test your nerves and push limits, and you may wish that you had a 3/4 ton truck.

Is there optional table and chairs, instead of the booth seating? Also, can you get it with theater seating instead of sofa? Thanks for the video. Looks like tons of storage with this one.
Don't try to tow this with a half ton. Look at the payload of the half ton found on the driver's pillar. Then subtract King Pin weight, fifth wheel hitch weight, Total truck cargo weight and 15%-20% of trailer gargo ( include propane and battery) and you are over payload.
The only two half ton trucks that can tow this thing is F150 Max Tow HDPP and Titan XD, these 1/2 ton trucks are more like 5/8 ton trucks. The rest of 1/2 ton trucks are going to have payload issue with this unit.
how about that optioned out with "no" slide...some of us want to tow a boat behind that or even boondock and that slide just affects the integrity of the 5th...also most times that slide just blocks access to facilities if I need to pull over somewhere and use them without having to slide the damn thing out...

Real nice floorplan on this coach... only thing ... I’d buy it if it were made by Grand Design. I guess what i am concerned about is the quality of this coach. Grand Design seems to be acknowledged by all dealers that they are of a higher quality than most other trailers. I dont own a GD... I actually own a 2010 Coachman Catalina 22FB travel trailer. To be honest it is kinda of cheaply built. It looked good when we first got it but as time goes on we are starting to see how it is not of the highest quality. We just dont want to end up with the same scenario again with our next purchase.

I would NOT EVER pull a fifth wheel with a 1/2 ton pickup because it does not have the brake power to stop it when loaded.

Easier to add a cheap bumper to store a sewer hose or protection than to add that hitch.

Yes, you can option free standing table and chairs and theater seats in the 250RES.

yeah a 1300lbs hitch weight is about 80% to 90% of what the truck can handle... throw in the hitch its self, kids, adults... boom over weight

Also... with this particular floor plan, you can access the entire coach with the slide in, except the living room television!!!

7k gyw that's not including all the stuff you put in to it. Plus passenger's in vehicle. 1/2 ton would be either over weight or maxed out.
If you add a 3000 lb towable on that fifth wheel hitch, you’ll have a hard time towing it with a half ton.
